I am trying to use the plugin ‘Magician’ in Figma, but when I do, it asks for an access code. However, when I click ‘Start Free Trial,’ it just loops back to Figma. What am I missing?

My Figma app updated and the new layers UI has become unusable for me. I rely heavily on the previous layer icons to know what is a frame vs a group vs autolayout vs a component. The images in the layers panel is not useful to me. Is there a way to restore the old icons in the layers panel?

Hi! Today I opened Figma and the Design file disappeared from the Team project. I didn't delete it and it's not in the trash either. Definitely not 30 days have passed, because a couple of days ago I sent a link to another person to view. At the same time, other design files remained in the team project. Maybe someone has had the same thing happen recently and managed to solve it somehow?

At noon, everything was working fine when I was using one of my documents. However, suddenly a pop-up window appeared saying “Out of memory” and prompted me to open recovery mode. Since then, I noticed something unusual: this particular document has significantly less content than my other files, yet it keeps showing memory issues. Even after I deleted some elements to reduce the load, the file still reports that it’s over the content limit. Strangely, a single text box with just two words can take up about 0.2% of memory, and the memory usage keeps fluctuating between 0.1% and 0.4%. Whenever I try to make any small changes, the document crashes with an “Out of memory” message and forces me to reload the page—even when the memory usage indicator shows only 29%. This file is very important to me. Please help me resolve this memory issue—I’d be incredibly grateful!

Since the last Figjam update on the Ipad app, I cant see which color is selected on the pen/highlighter/etc. 

I’m currently working on a dashboard using the new grid system of AutoLayout but I can’t find a way to add new rows to a frame without distorting the elements I’ve already placed on the grid. I started with a 10x8 square grid an then decided to add more rows to fit other components; if I add them from the grid options it will keep the frame size and fit the new rows within the height it has, changing the row height. From there I’d have to adjust the height of the frame manually so I could keep the same row height I had before.Is there a way to define the width and height of the columns and rows? wouldn’t it be easier if I could add rows  with the same row-height that would adjust automatically the height of the frame if there’s enough space on the parent frame?Example before adding the rowsAfterWhat I wanted (adjusted manually (not sure if I kept the same row height without a calculator))How I think it could work:Ex: Add a new row in a Word table (similar to Google sheets) 

I recently lost access to my Google account, and unfortunately, this account was linked to my Figma profile, which contains several important projects that I desperately need to recover.Since I can no longer log in to Figma using that account, I’m hoping there’s a way to regain access to my projects. Has anyone experienced something similar or know if Figma support can help transfer projects to a new account?

I was approved on student plan with my personal email while working with one school but I switched to other school where I want to be the educator. Since I was already approved on student plan I don't have option to change to educator's plan. I contacted Figma's support but as I see they sent bot reply which isn't connected to my case and repeats what I have already read in the internet. Can anybody help me figure out how to approach this case? 

I’m having trouble finding the Auto Layout configuration after updating to the latest version of the Figma Desktop app (I’m using a Mac). It’s no longer showing up in the usual spot on the right-hand panel.Below a screenshot showing two rectangles that are already using Auto Layout, but I can’t seem to find the configuration settings for it. 

In my company, we have strict security policies, and I need to ensure compliance before using MCP. Specifically, I would like to understand where the server is initiated when the get_code_connect_map command is executed. Does it run on my local machine, or is it hosted on Figma's servers? Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated!

Problem:I have Figma Code Connect set up and working in my project (I can see other components like TextField from @pperform/atum are properly connected), but when I query the code connect mapping for a specific Figma component, I get an empty result {}. Hi community,My colleague and I suddenly run into this issue. When we select any text elements, including creating a new one, not bounded to any styles or components or variables, the colours won’t show any library files. It only shows 1 colour swatch. See image below. This swatch was created in this file somehow. I cannot even delete or modify it.  The file was working the day before, but suddenly broke. I found this post, but the answer doesn’t address the issue.Does anyone know how to solve this please? Thank you so much in advance.

Hello,I was previously using the Free plan on Figma. To try the most affordable paid option, I purchased a plan that was around $5. Afterwards, I switched back to the Starter plan to avoid recurring charges.However, on July 15, 2025 at 01:05 AM, a $33 charge was made to my account. When I asked the chatbot about this, I was instructed to check my subscription details via the admin button in the file browser's left sidebar. But since I’m on the Starter plan, I do not see any admin button and therefore cannot access that information.The chatbot also confirmed that I’m currently on the Starter plan.Since the charge was made, I haven’t canceled any subscription — mostly because, as a Starter plan user, I don’t have access to any cancelable paid plan. I’ve been having issues with images failing to upload and show a loading/buffering state for images.Happens when there are more than 1 image columns/cell and more than 1 row of content. No clean runs where all images from all rows and columns/cells get uploaded smoothly. Text columns/cells work fine on all rows.It’s hard to say what the trigger zone for this bug is--I’ve tested it with dozens of variations of sample XLXS files trying to replicate it and search for a sweet spot that doesn’t break the bulk uploads--always breaks with multiple rows and columns containing images. Pictured below: The upload preview and what it outputs when using the attached file. Screen recording of a test run.   

I click on it, and nothing happens. I’ve rebooted, updated my browser, installed windows updates, etc.. Still not working. This is a fairly big problem as it means I can no longer access the “First/Last on top” option. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

About an hour ago, the auto layout control fields and the border radius field are not responding when trying to click into them and adjust values. 

Since a few days ago when I copy text from the web and it contains links, these are including when pasting to Figma even when I use CMD+SHIFT+V. I have to “hover” the text, wait for the popover, click edit and then unlink. It’s frustrating to do this every time. Any workaround?

I’m using the layout guide to create columns, but they are failing to show up? I’m currently using the Figma Desktop App version 125.5.6 on macOS Sequoia 15.5.  

Both Figma library and site files are in the same project but can’t see the library I’ve just published as an available library to be connected in my site file.

Hi everyone, I’ve noticed something over the past few weeks that feels like a UX regression, and possibly even a bug.Before, when working with elements like a button frame, I could add properties like Fill, Stroke, and others by clicking anywhere in the gray area of that section on the right panel. I didn’t have to aim precisely at the small + button or the label. It felt smooth and natural, and helped me move quickly.Recently, that behavior changed. Now, I have to click directly on the + button or the property label. Clicking the gray area does nothing. It may seem like a small thing, but over time it creates micro-friction. When you add that up across many interactions, and for many users, it becomes a noticeable slowdown.One reason I think this might be a bug is because the Export section still works the old way. If you click the middle gray area there, it triggers the export action. That inconsistency makes me think the change in behavior might not be intentional.If this is just a
