Hey, while updating one of my plugins I noticed missing feature. When using the Figma Plugin API, the devStatus property is undefined for nodes of type GROUP, even if the group is marked as Ready for dev.This causes an inconsistency between what’s visible in the UI and what’s accessible to plugins. Other node types, including FRAME, COMPONENT, INSTANCE, COMPONENT_SET, and SECTION  correctly expose their devStatus values.Expected behavior:If a group is marked as Ready for dev, its corresponding GroupNode should expose a valid devStatus object through the plugin API.Actual behavior:For GroupNode objects, devStatus is always undefined, even when the group is visibly marked as Ready for dev in Dev Mode.Thanks and best

Hello! I am a community advocate for FOF, Sofia for Bulgaria and we experience difficulties when we want to use Bulgarian Cyrillic in several fonts with the “Stylistic sets” feature, but Bulgarian Cyrillic just doesn’t work. When I try the same in Adobe Illustrator for example - there are no problems. The only solution we’re able to find is to change the font’s core defaults to this type of Cyrillic, otherwise, it is impossible to use the stylistic set in Figma. Best Regards, Daniel Dungyov

Hi, I was asked to re-verify my student status in september, which I did. After that Figma still told me I had to re-verify so I tried verifying again only to be told I exceeded my verification limit, so I contacted SheerID, who said I was successfully verified already. By then everything still worked fine in Figma so I thought it might be a harmless bug, but recently I was locked out of my team and am to be locked out of the teams from my classes, is there a way to reset my verification limit? Otherwise I won't be able to use Figma for uni anymore entirely

Hi, I’m unable to access my Figma Education Plan. I submitted my verification through SheerID, but it’s been delayed and I haven’t received any confirmation yet.I’ve also contacted SheerID support, but they said they’re experiencing high request volumes. Because of this, I can’t activate or use my education plan on Figma.

My odyssee for verification as educator with SheerID goes on. At 31 Oct I was applying on the Verification Page of Figma once more. Please can we get percentages for variables? We can use percentages manually, but we can’t create a percentage as a variable. This would speed up my design to dev process tenfold, and considering we can already use percentages in the design, why disallow it in variables?An example is I want store values for line height and letter spacing as percentages which behave responsively/dynamically, so when creating type variables I don’t have to do manual calculations, store 10+ letter spacing/line height values based on which font size they will be used with and hope I never change the font size variable in the future.

Hey!I’m trying to create a dynamic component where I could adjust the amount of the tiles where three of them is the max in the horizontal aspect and infinite or max three/four rows in vertical aspect.Can anyone advise me step by step how can I achieve the desired effect?I know I could create a set of components for each of the section and then manually adjust the amount of the tiles in the component but… that’s not so pro in my opinion. I want to be able to add/remove the tiles starting with one row and one tile and depending on the situation just add one more or remove if needed. This is what I have currently created but I guess I’m missing some variables or whatever, tried multiple options with autolayouts etc… I’m going nuts. 

Are there any resources for accordion menu templates or step-by-step guides for figma sites? I’ve found a few for other figma platforms but for some reason I’m struggling getting them to work well on sites.I’m particularly interested in an expandable menu in which the text can be formatted in columns (or, alternatively, the option to create multiple text boxes with Autolayout within the expandable menu).Thank you! 

Describe the problem your experiencing and how your idea helps solve this When we select a particular template or frame on Figma on the right side it will show all the colours did we used on that frame or template that’s a really good feature, Including that can you people also try to show us what all fonts that we used in that template or frame I felt that could be really great move by Figma if you people show the list of fonts that we used in that frame this going to be a great initiative by FIGMA. I’m really apologetic If that feature already existed in Figma I didn’t know where it was? I explored but I couldn’t find that feature. currently working at an agency and they won’t switch to Figma due to the issue of Internal vs. external comments and how this is solved in Invision with Private Comments. I feel like if we just had private or even levels of permission (admin) comments vs. guest comments Does anyone else experience this? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?

as title, I’m trying to use my published library in a Figma Make project, but the export for Figma Make dialog does not pop up. Also when I click Import From Figma in Make, it does nothing. Tried closing the app and reopen but still the same. I’m on a pro education plan. Is this feature available for me? thank you

Hi Figma support, I have an urgent issue to ask: Figma could not display a sticky bottom bar when I used “Fixed in place” ,absolute positioning and set my prototype to iphone 13 setting. The sticky bottom bar does not even appear on iOS iphone 13!! I’ve tried using Last on top and First on top canvas stacking. Both only works on android device but not on iOS device on mobile in prototype mode!! I read that iOS mobile browser dun accept positioning of Figma! How can I overcome it?

I’m a hybrid UI/UX designer, and part of my work includes creating digital assets (like instructional gifs / videos, product launch gif). Right now I design in Figma but then have to switch to other tools (Premiere or After Effects) just to put videos together. When it comes to prototyping, it requires higher effort to update these contents and makes collaboration harder. It would be amazing if Figma had some basic video editing features built in—nothing too heavy, but enough to:Trim and stitch clips together Add simple transitions or motion Layer text, images, or overlays Drop in audio tracks Dev friendlyIt’d be super useful for teams like mine that work on both design and content, and it could save us from jumping across multiple apps.

I’m unable to see (zoom) files easily because the ‘ctrl +-’ shortcut is very hard to reach on my keyboard with one hand, as a result of an accident.Please add a magnifying zoom tool in the toolbar!!!!!!!!!! PS loooove figma!!👍

Hug & fill shortcuts are really nice, but i dont want to have to keep reaching over to the right hand side panel every time i want to quickly change my autolayout from vertical to horizontal. I think a lot of people feel this too! If it already exists please let me know i will give you chocolate cake frs

As a paying customer and a very unwilling Figma support, I would like to publicly ask for sending invoices per email. This is best practice for all bigger online services and it’s frustratingly annoying to collect every single invoice. Regarding the amount of customers, this would probably save thousands of hours on the customer side every month. So again: Please send us an PDF! Thank you

Hi all, I’ll try to keep it short and simple — I couldn’t find anything that directly addressed this issue, but in my opinion the way masks work in Figma is not optimal. Full disclosure, I come from a very comfortable with Adobe Illustrator angle (which essentially established the standard way to apply masks as far as I’m aware, and with good reason). The problem with needing the mask object under the object that is being masked, is that the mask object will invariably be smaller than the target object, and therefore this makes it extremely fussy to both select the correct items for masking and editing the mask layer itself. Once a mask is applied, to edit the vector points of the mask, the only way I can see is to find the mask layer in the layers panel and hit enter or the “edit object” button in the toolbar. This is a serious workflow killer when considering you could just double click into the mask object had it been on the layer above. That’s it! Please consider changing the mask

Has anyone had issues with a font truncating to an ellipsis with 2 dots vs. 3 dots? is there a way to fix that as it’s really throwing my client off even though we’ve tested the font in a web browser and it displays properly there - just not in Figma prototypes.

Seemingly as of today’s update, pinned items within a project now only have a limited selection of actions available in their right-click context menu (Open, Create New Branch, Add to Sidebar, Remove Project Pin, Copy Link) but none of the others (Copy Link, Share, Duplicate, Show Version History, Rename, Move File, Move to Trash) even though those are in the menu if you find the original file. (i.e. it’s not a permissions problem removing those functions, they just aren’t in the menu for the pinned version) This appears to be the same in both the browser and in the desktop app. As part of our process, we create most new design files by duplicating a template file, which we keep pinned to the project so the team has easy access to it. With this update it’s no longer possible to duplicate (or do a bunch of other actions) from the pinned file, and instead you have to dig through the full list of files to find it in the general project list. Is there a reason this functionality was remove
