I set IPhone 16 as my prototype device, hence "On Tap" turns into "On Click". However, now, when I play my prototype, even when I tap anywhere other than the element I chose for a specific animation, it changes to the next frame! It's as if the animation wasn't needed at all :( How can I fix this?
Figma doesn’t have a native way to export variables for devs, so I rely on 3rd party plugins. I even wrote some myself to get around this basic missing feature. Plugins that I used in the past have now stopped working. I’ve also tried some new ones. None of them work. Plugins load, but pressing buttons to fetch variables and export variables don’t work Even some plugins that I developed myself stopped working. When I run them, I now get console errors that weren’t there before. Why Figma doesn’t have a native way to export variables is beyond me. Too busy with Figpals, I guess. We have a deadline to hit, and now I need to manually export hundreds of variables for my devs. Very much not ideal. Is this a known issue?
Hi! I’m wondering if anyone here has a solution/answer regarding my issue. I’m working on a school project and need to create a blog with different entries, this is the base template for how an entry should look on the main page (Article thumbnail, title, authors, date and brief description) I have around 5 categories to do and each and every one of the articles is going to have the same elements… I’m wondering if there’s a way to create just one element and then input the data and create copies for each article on the main page (or if the only way to do it is copying and pasting it….) Sorry for my bad grammar, english is not my first language. I thank you deeply for your help beforehand.
Hi! I mistakenly irrevocably deleted a needed project instead of an unnecessary one because Figma glitched. Is it possible to restore it? I sent an e-mail, but support takes a long time to respond.
Hello, In slides deck, I’m stuck with theme colors that I can’t rename or delete. Am I missing something ?
Hey Figma team, I wanted to report a problem that’s been bugging our team for the past few months. We have an Icon Library in our design system, as well as a separate glyph library. These icons are used in different sizes across the product (16px, 24px, etc.). The master components of each icon and glyph contain elements which are all set to ‘scale’. However, within our larger components, whenever we want to swap an instance of an icon with a different one from our library, the scaling (of dimensions, stroke width, and border radius) is not properly applied, resulting in a broken view. One example is: We have a nested icon component scaled to 16x16px; We replace the instance with another icon from either library (original component of which is 24x24 but all elements set to scale) and expect it to scale properly to the 16x16 dimensions. However, the swapped icon appears broken in terms of the scale of elements inside, stroke width and border radius; We have to resort to a workaround lik
Been playing around with the “expose nested properties” feature currently in beta. One of the great uses of variant properties is the ability to batch edit property values on multiple selected components. That use doesn’t carry over to exposed nested properties (yet I hope). Demo file to help When selecting one component instance exposing nested properties, said properties display fine. Add another instance of the same component to your selection (using Shift+Click), and the nested properties outright disappear from the right panel. I haven’t seen this issue raised elsewhere! Do you experience it too?
Hello, I would like to propose a new feature that will reduce the work of interface design by half or more, and Figma is already almost there. Currently we have to make different size versions (desktop, tablet and mobile) so that developers can view them. With the variables mode I can edit the screen sizes just by changing the global variable, but my developers do not have this button available. It would be wonderful for everyone if this were possible.
I click on it, and nothing happens. I’ve rebooted, updated my browser, installed windows updates, etc.. Still not working. This is a fairly big problem as it means I can no longer access the “First/Last on top” option. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
If you have a component with many different variants, it would be good to have a warning before someone accidentally changes the content within the component rather than in the variants. This is inspired by the warning that happened when detaching an instance when you had FigPals.
I often have to use colors outside of Figma. At the moment, if those colors are variables, I have to detach it to select and copy the hex code and re-apply the variable. I think it would be a nice feature to be able to copy the color of that element without having to detach and re-attach the variable.
I created this tooltip box (union of a rectangle and triangle). It’s set so that the text width adjusts according to the width of the tooltip box. I also want the size of the box to be adjustable, but am coming across 2 issues: Box height isn’t changing to accommodate the text line number increasing Triangle pointer doesn’t maintain same width I’m not sure what settings are needed to fix this. This is what I have currently: Autolayout of whole component. The text itself is set to fill/hug.
