Is there anyway to bring back the black background for the figma icon?
Hi everyone,I'm using the Figma MCP integration (`@modelcontextprotocol/server-figma`) with Google Antigravity to read design files and components into my development environment.Everything was working properly initially, but recently it started failing and throwing authentication/token-related errors when attempting to query files or nodes.Setup details:Client: Google Antigravity (configured via `mcp_config.json`)Token Type: Personal Access Token (PAT) with file read permissionsEnvironment:Token passed as `FIGMA_ACCESS_TOKEN` under server `env`Current Situation:- The integration was working previously without any issues, but suddenly started failing.- I am experiencing this issue in Antigravity (though I haven't tested it with other MCP clients yet).- I've verified the token is present in the configuration, but the connection/auth still fails.Questions:1. Have there been any recent changes to Figma PAT formats, expiration policies, or REST API authentication endpoints?2. Has anyone ex
Hi everyone, I’m running into a strange issue with Figma Variables and component instances, and I’d really appreciate some help understanding whether this is expected behavior or a bug.I have a component called Title with a text property that is connected to a Boolean variable called uppercase. The variable controls whether the text is displayed in uppercase or normal case. I then publish this component as part of a design system. The problem happens when I update the variable/mode in the design system and republish it.For example:I create a Title component and connect its uppercase property to a variable. I use this component in another design and customize the text values for each instance. I update the variable mode in the design system, for example from uppercase = true to uppercase = false, and publish the update. After updating the library, the customized text values in existing instances are reset back to the default Title text. This happens even if I change the font or make othe
i am creating an experience where a client can add a product through the use of a modal that has numerous multi-selects and needs to be able to expand in height depending on what the client selects. with that being said this is how i have the interaction wired. if i add a the “background” to the overlay, the modal locks and you can not even scroll up to see the modal information. i have also selected “reset scroll” and when clicked it never rests to the manual positioning. is this a limitation or and error on my end. the odd thing is if i deselect the “add background” i can scroll up but the page does not auto rest the scroll on click….any help on this would be amazing
Hello,I am a user of the Figma Enterprise version. To use the Code Connect feature, I created a Figma project, converted it into a library, and published it. However, when I clicked the 'Connect to components code' button to link the components to code, I discovered that a GitHub account belonging to another user was already connected.I understand that in an Enterprise environment, the integration between Figma and a GitHub account can be configured at a team or organizational level by an administrator. I would like to know if the current issue is caused by such a centralized setting or if there is another reason.Could you please let me know if there is a way to change the connection to my intended GitHub account or to disconnect the existing one and set up a new connection?Thank you.
I’m trying to connect a custom MCP client directly to the Figma Remote MCP Server:https://mcp.figma.com/mcpI understand that Figma’s documentation currently says only clients listed in the MCP Catalog can connect.Could someone from Figma confirm:Is there currently a supported process for a custom MCP client to connect to the Remote MCP Server? If so, is any registration, approval, or specific Figma plan required? For a custom client requiring OAuth, should a Figma OAuth App Client ID/Client Secret be used, or does the Remote MCP Server use a different OAuth flow?I’m specifically asking about a custom MCP client connecting to Figma's Remote MCP Server, not creating a custom MCP connector inside Figma Make or Figma Agent. Thanks!
Hey guys, I’m not even sure how to look this question up here. So apologies if it’s repeated.I recently started Figma, but I still use Photoshop as I’m more fluent at it, and slowly transferring my workflow (what can be transferrable) to figma. And one of those projects is using this shape in different contexts and sizes. Is there a way to make this on figma so i don’t have to manually grab each square and resize the lines every time?
Hi! I’m using the Figma Agent beta in Figma Design and I’ve reached the monthly beta limit.I see the option “Request free extra credits”, which opens a form titled “Request additional beta credits” and asks what I’ve been using Figma’s agent for.Can someone confirm who receives and reviews this request? Is it reviewed directly by the Figma team as part of the Agent beta program, or is it sent to the admin of my Figma team/organization?I’m specifically asking about the beta credits request for Figma Agent, not the regular AI credits request flow. Thanks!
I'm currently using the Figma Education plan. I recently moved my design file into a Team workspace, but I noticed that the AI agent beta button has completely disappeared from my toolbar in Figma Design. Are there specific limitations for Education teams regarding the AI agent beta, or am I just missing something in the settings?Thank you so much for your help! Have a great day!🙏🏻
I am experiencing a bug with an icon placeholder component that uses 5 different size variants. The issue starts in the Assets panel, where the component thumbnail already appears flipped/inverted. When I drag the component onto the canvas and use the Instance Swap property to select a designated Preferred Value, the nested icon automatically flips or rotates incorrectly. It seems like Figma is not preserving the true orientation during the instance swap across variant sizes.
Hi everyone, does anyone know how Figma handles AI-content provenance when generating and exporting images? For example, Nano Banana uses SynthID, while other models may use C2PA metadata or Content Credentials. However, I can’t find any Figma documentation explaining:Whether these provenance signals are preserved when an image is exported from Figma, Whether Figma adds its own machine-readable marking, Which standard Figma uses to comply with Article 50(2) of the EU AI ActHas Figma published anything about this, or has anyone tested exports from the different models available in Figma? I couldn't find anything so far?
Hi! I am curious about a component structure and if possibly Figma has a cleaner solution than my current one.Example: I have a product item in a cart. The product has small tags attached to it, but the product in the prototype may have a variable amount of those tags. One product might have 6 tags, another might have 2.In my original component, I usually add max amount of tags and then just hide the unnecessary ones. Is there any other way to do this dynamic component amount, perchance?Example below:
As a content designer, spellcheck in itself is useful to me. But the autocorrect when pressing the tab key is very annoying. In most cases, the error detected is just because it’s a product name or copy in another language, so it doesn’t need to be fixed. But it would always get falsly autocorrected when I press on tab, while I’m just trying to jump to the next editable element. I would be nice to be able to disable that while keeping spellcheck activated.
Hi Figma Team,I would like to ask a refund for a Collaboration Seat, because my team accidentally requested to be a full seat not knowing it will be charged 20$/person. Is it possible to do so?Thanks, Immanuell Russell

HiNew to Figma. Want to redesign my website. Have a few html and pdf mock ups. Want to import into Figma to edit. Any tips/suggestions? ThanksPaul
In Figma, how can I make the rounded part of the vectorized version of the "R" on the left of the below image more closed like the one on the right?
I've noticed Slots keeps swapping out components when a library update occurs. I made sure there were no changes to the master components that is embed within the slot composition. As well as no changes made to the master composition where the embedded components sit within the Slot sections of the composition Is this a bug?
HI Figma Team Previously I registered education plan. I want to change to normal free plan to edit my current projects. What do I have to do now? Thank you.
I have a design where I would like to completely remove part of the border with an angled edge. I have tried using the pen tool to create a vector over the area I want to remove and then removing it using booleans but none of the options seem to work. I just want to erase part of it but can’t seem to find a simple way to do this. Can anyone tell me how I could achieve this look? This is what I am trying to achieve. The border connects all the way around and in this pic I have just used some white rectangles covering them to try to show you what I’m after. Any help would be much appreciated 🙂
Hello, I used to be on the Pro Figma plan and already had some files in my Team. One day, my account was switched back to the Free plan, and I noticed that I can no longer create new design files in my Drafts. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? I believe the Free plan still allows unlimited design files in Drafts, but I’m not sure what happened with my account. Has anyone experienced this before?
Hi.This is my first time submitting a plugin, and I was wondering if there’s a way to track the progress of the review process or receive updates after submission. I understand that reviews can take 10 days or even more, but I was curious if there’s any way to check the current status or get notified about any progress. Thank you!1669897141584526956

I’m working on a small word-puzzle interface and have been thinking about how much information should be visible on the first screen. A typical puzzle can have the main challenge, instructions, input controls, feedback for correct or incorrect attempts, and sometimes things like hints, a progress indicator, or a history of previous attempts. Putting everything on one screen can make the layout feel crowded, but hiding too much can make the interaction less obvious. For example, with a Letter Boxed styled interface, the central puzzle area needs to remain visually dominant while the surrounding controls still need to be easy to understand. I’m particularly interested in how people approach the hierarchy between the puzzle itself, instructions, action buttons, and feedback states when designing this type of experience. If you were building this in Figma, would you start with the interaction flow and prototype the states first, or establish the visual hierarchy and component system before
