Hi everyone,Has anyone else encountered problems with long blank text copy paste? Sometimes copying large blocks of empty space from documents or webpages seems harmless, but pasting them into forums, chats, or editors can cause issues.It can take up unexpected space, slow down scrolling, or even crash certain apps. I’ve tried stripping formatting or using plain text tools, yet long blank text copy paste still creates headaches with very large blanks. Curious if others have a reliable method to handle it without manually deleting hundreds of empty lines.

Copy+Paste is mostly broken.I can't copy text then paste it into the AI prompt field. I can see that it copies successfully, but I can't paste it back into the app, I first have to paste it into another app (ie: Notes) then copy it from there and paste it back into the app (only then does it work).Similar issue with copying properties (ie: styles, or a background image). If I use the context menu to copy the properties, then I can paste them over to another layer successfully. But when I Cmd+Shift+C, the properties don’t go to the clipboard, although when I copy them through the context menu then Cmd+Shift+V does paste them to the target layer.I can verify that restart and reinstall do nothing, and there are no interfering settings with the OS (macOS) or other apps. This is an issue I’ve been experiencing for months on my old Mac, and recently tried it on a different Mac and it’s exhibiting the exact same.

When viewing a spec, the big blue button is to request a full seat instaed of logging in or viewing the spec, which is the most likely case. This results in constant accidental ‘so and so as requested a full seat’ daily. Its the most annoying thing in the world and causes mistakes from my team members approving it.

I have a paid account and I’m trying to connect to Dev Mode from my Figma Sites project in order to access MCP and export my work. I don’t see the dev mode icon, nor a way to export via MCP. Can anyone guide me to a solution?

It’s been a few days since the table row component I had created started having issues. Both in the canvas—when it renders, it sometimes changes the fixed sizes I had set to other random fixed sizes—and sometimes, when you double-click down to the slot layer, it automatically fixes itself.Sizes inside slots break automatically.Here, for example, I had a fixed size of 255, and out of nowhere Figma changes it to 612.And there’s also another bug when I’m in the navigable prototype preview mode, where this behavior is reproduced even though it’s already correct on the canvas—for example, when triggering the while hovering interaction, it fixes itself.Here, row 1 has the hover state; I need to move the mouse pointer over all of them for it to display correctly.

I have connected ChatGPT and Figma and it drew a nice designs, but after edit number 5 it stopped and now ChatGPT falls back to standard image generation, saying that “You've reached the Figma MCP tool call limit for your View seat on the Professional plan”. Where can I see and track these credits? How to add them? How to optimize them so that on Pro plan I do not get this after 5 prompts?

My company’s Figma account was suspended and we've been reaching out to our account manager to resolve but no one is responding. This is a major problem as many of our teams are blocked from doing their work. We’re working towards a major presentation tomorrow and this poses a significant risk.

When i have autolayout settings on a component set to fill, and then I change something else in the same frame, the fill settings for the components switch back to “hug”. Doing something else can even just mean selecting a different component on the same frame. Even after fixing it a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time - the issue persists!I have noticed this happens especially, if I’m using components and just change the instance’s width. What do I do? It’s causing problems when handing off bc nothing stay set the way it’s supposed to.

Ai suggestions are turned off in the menubut I’m still getting this every time I copy and paste a text frame 

Figma doesn’t allow you to bind variables at the component source level, and you can bind only at the instance. This breaks down in real use cases where components require unique variant configurations that can’t be predetermined at the variable level. That limitation makes modes ineffective for true desktop-to-mobile automation. In such cases, you need to change the variant and change the mode to get a true platform conversion. Is there a suggested workaround?

As of the last update, when you use the “Remove Background” tool, it deletes the original, whereas it used to just hide it. Using both versions to create a new image has been a major part of my daily workflow.If I start my duplicating the image, and only removing the background on one layer, it combines all layers into the result.Is there a way to restore the original functionality? Is anyone else experiencing this, or just me? Is there a workaround?

I am using extended collections and they are appearing, but at first I thought it was alphabetical, so I updated my naming to include the “Drug” but then the order they appear in the dropdown seems completely random. How does this work? And can we make it more structured?

Hey, as you can read in the title, im a bit stuck on a document. it worked fine, then out the blue, the blend mode i set for the slide background (color density) stoped showing on preview and pdf export. did anybody encountered this issue ?  I really need to send this soon, and im pulling my hair out on this issue...

Every new project in Figma Make now asks me to to save a gitkeep file. I assume this is a bug? Since when should designers be responsible for managing these production-level files?

Currently, I am working on naming a ton of pages in a single file. I have noticed, if I hold down shift when hitting the spacebar, the text indicator does not move. It may register the spaces if i use the arrow keys, but the placement of where i am typing does not move. This is very frustrating as every other app on my Mac adds spaces like normal here.

I’m still stumped when it comes to how to tell my developer about padding and margin and special characters. I’d like the dev to use the … ellipsis special character but the best I could do in Figma is to tighten the letterspacing of three period characters, and leave a comment on the board. I’ve read here on the forums that designers are unable to communicate margin without an invisible spacer box?I have laid out this tiny card view which could show up as a card on its own, or have a active state with the yellow highlight ring, or have a photo under it. For now, I’ve turned the card alone into a component. I stretched the text box of the number id 593052… to touch the blue border  and added 4px paragraph indent. (because when i originally built it, i moved the blue selection box of the text 4 pixels over from the edge.) I don’t have a way to indicate padding for the right edge

After creating an asset in Figma Buzz, I export it to PDF. However, when the asset opens in Adobe Reader, the name of the asset matches the Figma name, which I use an internal naming scheme for.I don’t want to email an asset with an internal name that’ll be visible to customers.But, I can’t seem to discover how to avoid this without having to do a separate step post-export.So, QUESTION: is there a way to control the display title of the PDF export without having to change my internal naming convention?

 I ran into a font issue while working with MCP use_figma and wanted to share it here. I have a font installed on my system (Pretendard) that works perfectly fine in the Figma UI — it shows up as "Installed by you" in the font picker. However, it's completely invisible to the Plugin API when running through MCP use_figma. listAvailableFontsAsync() returns around 7,600 fonts, but none of them are locally installed ones. It seems to only return Google Fonts.loadFontAsync() also fails, and trying to appendChild a component instance that contains text using the font throws a font load error — even into a non-auto-layout frame. Steps to Reproduce 1. Install a local font on your system (I tried both ~/Library/Fonts/ and /Library/Fonts/ on macOS) 2. Confirm the font shows up normally in the Figma UI 3.
