Hi figma, I'm new to figma and I heard you guys made a plan for students. After knowing that, I immediately registered to get the plan on August 27, 2026. But I still haven't heard from you. The status says it only takes a few minutes / 20 minutes if busy, but I've been waiting for a few days and haven't heard anything at all. Can you guys help me?  

I’m curious about how other designers handle font variations in Figma. Do you usually use variable fonts, or do you prefer separate font weights and styles?It would be great to have more flexible options for managing font variations directly in Figma, especially when working on responsive websites and UI designs.

I’m on the School Projects Education team and SheerID says I’m already verified. When I try to use Figma Make, I get a prompt saying I will be upgraded to a Full seat to use it. (I already clicked continue) I do not want to accept any change that could create seat-related charges. I need help understanding why Figma Make is not available through my current Education access and what my options are.

Hi,Over de last few weeks our team is experiencing more and more inconvenient and work impeding bugs in Figma. Over the last few days we’ve been struggling to find workarounds for instances for which the ‘Variants could not be loaded’. It’s really awkward and unreliable if we design something and random things cause the designs to change. To name some that really affect our collaboration with other teams:Instances of components sometimes appear empty (this seems to be related to slots?). Changing properties for components with slots no longer work if the content within the slots was edited. Placement of layers seems ‘off’, until the layer is selected and automatically restores its placement. Instances of components that are inserted (Shift + i) are completely empty and void of layers. Copying main components from our spec files to our UI kit causes the variants to become duplicated within resulting in twice the number of variants and causing conflicts. The recent figma autolayout update has brought up conflicting emotions. From one point it’s great that the autolayout would work closer to code, but on the other hand for teams that do more complex projects than Web UI, this creates a loooot of issues. 3 things in particular, that I know for sure, will break what we've been using in case of complex layouts:"Padding now always gets the room it needs" - Often when necessary, I relied on the fact that you can set auto-layout frame size to 0 and add paddings inside to allow precise position of elements without affecting the size and position parent and sibling frames. Now that won't be possible. ⁠"Inside strokes counting in autolayout" - again pretty sure this will break layouts where inside stroke was used. ⁠"Stacks with gap set to auto no longer overlap" - A lot of cases it's better to have parent in the desired size than have the parent rely on the children. I thought the AI worked for designs as well, just like https:sleek.design, but unfortunately for me, what is made, can’t be edited on Figma Design. How do I cancel this subscribtion. The IssueI am trying to give team level view permissions to members but they are not being received. Because of the confidentiality of the project, access permissions are controlled at team level and is set to “People invited to team”.  I am inviting the team members the same way I’ve done everyone previously but they don’t receive an email and they have no notifications to accept. Even if I add them to the team and then share a link they still can’t access the team or pages. Unless they are able to “Accept” the invitation they can never access any of the team content. Even this behavior feels inconsistent, because sometimes they can request access and sometimes it says it can’t be found. (Picture attached) It’s causing major issues with giving access to our new devs.  It’s also difficult to trouble shoot because they are on such a large time difference we are rarely on at the same time.Additional Info:We are on an Enterprise account We predominately only have trouble with our contract

Hi Figma Support,I’m having an issue with the CMS in a Figma Sites project. I have a verified student account and I am working on a Figma Sites assignment.I created a CMS collection called “Recipes”, but I am unable to edit or add CMS items.The issue is:I have edit access to the Figma Sites file and can make normal edits to the canvas. The left sidebar shows both CMS → Edit and CMS → Connect. The Recipes collection appears normally. However, when I open the Recipes collection, it only shows the CMS table in View only mode. The Edit option/tab is completely missing. I therefore cannot add new recipe items or edit the existing CMS fields.I have already checked this with my instructor, who also looked at the file and advised me to contact Figma Support.I also contacted the Figma support AI, and it suggested that because I can edit the canvas and the CMS sidebar contains both Edit and Connect, this may be a CMS-specific issue rather than a basic file permission issue.Could someone please h

Hi Figma team,Every time I convert a FigJam file into Figma Design, the objects look right and lose whatever made them useful in FigJam.Gradients are the clearest example. They come through visually fine. I can't touch them afterward: no stops, no direction, nothing to edit. Effects like shadows and blur do the same thing. They render, then freeze.I want converted objects to behave like native Figma Design objects. Editable gradients and effects. Objects I can still move, scale, rotate. Connectors that keep their routing and arrows and stay attached when I drag things around. Groups and components that don't strip out the interactive parts living inside them.This matters for the work I do: educational diagrams and mind maps, usually packed with connected objects, nested groups, components, gradients. I build the structure and relationships in FigJam. I polish the visuals in Figma Design. Moving a diagram from one to the other means rebuilding half the connections by hand, every time.I

When applying text styles that have associated variables attached the values presented do not respect the applied mode. For instance I have a title that has a mode for Mobile (20px), and a mode for TV (40px), when i open up the style, the default mode (in this case mobile) is displayed instead of the TV mode size. I have also observed this within grid layouts when applied it shows the default mode (26 columns). When in reality it is actually 24 columns, if you then detach the style it shows the correct number. And when detached you can see it shows the correct value Seems this was a major oversight, as it makes applying size variables pretty time consuming, as I have to check if I’ve chosen the correct size by clicking and opening up the variable list. In short it seems to default to the first default mode, instead of respecting the chosen mode. It also only seems to affect styles. Anyone else found this to be an issue?

It worked completely fine before last release. It’s disrupting my workflow tremendously. Is that expected? or is it a bug?

Hi,In the Figma web app, my component appears to be correctly connected to code using the Code Connect CLI. However, in Figma MCP:get_code_connect_map returns {}, both with and without codeConnectLabel: "React". get_design_context returns generated/raw layout code instead of the connected Code Connect component or snippet. get_code_connect_suggestions also reports nested components as not connected.The component is part of our internal component library, which is consumed by our projects.It seems that the Code Connect mappings are visible in the Figma web app but are not being recognized by Figma MCP.

When developers select an icon within a component, they cannot see the icon's color token in the right-hand panel, resulting in a very poor user experience. 

Today, while using the Figma Desktop MCP Server, I encountered a usage limit. My understanding is that this is a local MCP server, so I’m wondering why usage limits would still apply. Aren’t the limits described in the official documentation only applicable to the remote MCP server?If the local MCP server is also subject to usage limits, what is the daily limit?
