Hi everyone,I’m experiencing a severe issue with text input in Figma.Symptoms: I cannot type in new text layers (T → click does nothing) I cannot edit existing text (double-click doesn’t activate the cursor) I cannot select text inside a layer The tool sometimes switches automatically when I try to type The issue happens across all files, even brand-new ones The issue happens in both my accounts Keyboard works perfectly in all other applications on my Mac What I already tested: Updated browsers and Desktop app Reset Figma (Help → Troubleshooting → Reset Figma and Restart) Cleared all caches Disabled all extensions Restarted macOS Switched keyboard layouts

👋🏻 Hi guys, I’ve run into what seems like a bug while working with the new slots feature in Figma components, and I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this.I’m currently implementing slots in my components and really like the concept so far. I am working in a file that was created by another designer. I am trying to add a background pill to a text grid and I can’t get the pill to go behind the text. From the file menu I can see that all of the components previously created are dragged from the component library so they are all purple. I’ve tried several options, but not having success. Nothing is locked.

Dear Figma Support Team,I am having an extremely unpleasant and stressful experience. I’m on the professional plan, and after purchasing additional credits multiple times, the balance continues to drain rapidly, even though I hardly use any AI features. Most disturbingly, I recently added 5,000 credits, but only about 1,500 were actually used with my awareness. Despite that, I see a huge drop in credits every single day, even when I’m not making any changes. In fact, 1,340 credits were consumed on a simple layout fix that I never expected to use any AI. Most of the time, Figma doesn't even make any visible changes after these actions, yet credits keep draining. This is now preventing me from accessing my designs, and my work is completely stuck.This is a huge disruption, and I need immediate clarification and resolution. Please investigate why credits are being consumed without any action from me, as this is severely impacting my project and productivity.Sincere

When I export the frame as a jpg/png, there a stroke around. I tried everything - updated GPU driver, removed the frame fill, tried to use a rectangle as a background -- all is the same, Figma exports it with random stroke.  Please fix it!

I am using a school account and made a whole project a year ago. When going back I seemingly have lost access to that file and cannot gain access since I “am not the file owner” but I created it all on this account that I am using. Is there any way to access it since I cannot find the file anywhere except for the tab I’ve kept open all this time looking for it?

After I paid for my team’s subscription, we decided to not use Figma anymore and deleted our account. Despite this, my card was charged today, and I did not authorize this transaction. I want a refund! 

Hello,I bought the professional plan and I’m unable to see the right panel to export figma slides. I’m in dev mode but still. I comtacted Figma 2daya ago and called this morning for assistance and uptill now no response. I need the slides ASAP. Please help!

My Figma Make is always giving me this error. Couldn’t reach server, try again in a minute. Its happening from last few months. I have changed internet, cleared cache and also try this on my other computer.

Issue SummaryI'm experiencing severe performance issues in a Figma Make file that has accumulated naerly 700 context versions. The file frequently freezes, becomes unresponsive, and consumes credits at an unusually high rate, making it nearly impossible to continue working.What I've Tried- Using the desktop app instead of the browser (still laggy)  - Clearing cache and performing hard refreshes  - Avoiding large batch prompts – the problem persists  Root Cause (Suspected) The excessive number of Make conversation versions appears to be the main bottleneck. I’m trying to use figma-use / Codex MCP tools to create a design directly inside a specific Figma file and node.Sometimes the tool can read the node metadata and sees it as an empty canvas. But when it tries to continue with the required design context step, get_design_context fails with a generic error.Because of this, the integration can partially detect the file, but it cannot actually write or generate the design on the canvas.What I need help with:How to make get_design_context work reliably with an open Figma design file Whether this is a known issue with Figma MCP / plugin integration / Codex desktop connection 

All of my community resources are suddenly dissapear from figma community resources. just a weeks ago it was still there, I am screenshooting my Your week on Figma Community as a prove. Where I can found my resources and i want to get it back because there is some conversation there as well? can anyone help me? 

For some reason I’m unable to add, delete, or edit my projects on my iPad. I’m not sure if this is just an iPad thing or not because I’m away from my desktop. Also I’m aware that you have to be the project owner in order to be able to have edit capabilities which I should have because I’m the only one that’s on this project. Any thoughts?

Auto-filling slot containersIs there a way for an instance added to a slot to automatically fill the slot container? For example, when I insert a row component into the slot, it keeps its fixed width instead of expanding to fill the slot.Selecting a preferred instance variantWhen setting a preferred instance for a slot, it seems like I can only select the base component—not a specific variant. Is there currently a way to choose a specific variant as the preferred instance?The only workaround I can think of is breaking that variant out into its own component, but that feels like it defeats the purpose of variants.Am I missing something in how slots are intended to work, or are these current limitations?

In a component with a slot containing multiple items, changes to the items stop propagating in the instance once any individual item within that instance has been manually overridden.Consider a menu component containing a slot with menu-item components. At some point, I use that menu component by instantiating it inside another component — say, a menu-app — which then appears across multiple views. I want any changes made to the menu-items to propagate to all those instances, keeping every view consistent. And this works as expected, until I make any change to any of the menu-items within the instance. I could understand that manually overriding a specific item in a slot prevents changes from propagating to that same item — I could live with that. But the problem goes further: changing anything on any item — such as its position in the stack (which is critical if I ever decide to reorder the menu items) — completely breaks propagation of any slot-level changes across the boar

I have been experiencing unusual behavior in Figma for several days. When I use Spacebar + mouse to pan, the canvas moves unpredictably in different directions while the spacebar is pressed. Refreshing Figma temporarily resolves the issue, but the glitch reoccurs frequently. I am using Figma Web.

Hello. There is a loading icon that is appearing and won’t go away/I am unable to view the result. I’ve tried all the steps but nothing has seemed to work. Steps i’ve tried:Duplicating the file Refresh Opening in a browser window (instead of the app) Restarted the app and laptop too Also, my websockets also work. Tried opening through my personal laptop (Windows) and still got the same issue. (I use Mac for work purposes but get the same issue) I checked all queries regarding this and tried all methods. Nothing is working. Prompting that I’m only seeing a loading window and providing it with a screenshotI’ve also confirmed that no errors are showing.
