Hi Figma!I’m a developer working with a team creating a design system and React component library. Our designers use tokens for pretty much everything, and a key part of our workflow is exporting the tokens as CSS variables, which can then be used in our React component library.To do this, we use a community-created plugin called Variables2CSS. It’s fantastic that someone created this plugin (thank you to the author!), but it presents us with one main problem: we need to be in Design Mode in Figma for the export to work correctly. If we’re in developer mode when we use the plugin to export the tokens, some tokens go missing.This is a problem within my team, as we need to purchase a designer license for each developer who needs to export the tokens. As my employer will only pay for one designer license for this purpose I am stuck being the only developer in my team who is able to do this. During Figma Schema 2025 they announced upcoming support for extended variable collections and native variable export/import conforming with the DTCG token specification.It was announced during this session: Here is a screenshot of what they were proposing:An update to the app dropped a few days ago with extended collections but I cannot find how to export variables to JSON (without using a plugin).I don’t have the “Export modes” option in my dropdown menu, even with our Enterprise account.Has anyone got that feature and how do you do it?

I am a currently enrolled student for a visual design degree.When I attempt to re-verify my status, I receive the common error message: "We're glad you're enthusiastic, but it looks like you've already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer."I have already tried contacting SheerID but have not received a response.Please manually reset my verification status so I can submit my updated documents and continue using Figma for my studies.

Hi Figma Community, I’m reaching out for advice as I’m facing a billing sync issue and haven’t yet received a response from support. I was on a grace period for the Professional plan. I completed the payment more than 8 hours ago and have the paid invoice as proof. However, my account is still showing that the plan will end shortly (currently less than 30 minutes remaining). I’ve already emailed Figma support earlier today with:  Paid invoice attached Screenshot of the expiry warning   My concern is temporary team restriction, as my team is actively working. Has anyone faced a similar situation before?Is there anything else I should do while waiting for support to update the billing status? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. — Shakinur Rahman

Hi ! If you can help it’s wonderful ?I’ve been trying to connect a repository with Figma Make but each time on the figma website i have the same message popping “Could not create repository” in red on the bottom. I tried doing it on chrome and Safari, both failed. Do you have any ideas ?

Hi Figma team & community,I’m stuck on the SheerID step with the error “Verification Limit Exceeded / already redeemed or attempted” when applying for Figma Education.• What I tried: logging in with the target Figma account, applying via figma.com/education/apply, contacting SheerID to reset attempts (awaiting response).• Ask: once SheerID resets/approves, please ensure the verification is linked to my Figma account. If there’s a prior/partial verification under another email, please advise on re-association. 

Hello, I have seen this issue quite a few times in the forum (locked out of Figma account that is tied to school email that can no longer be accessed) and was unable to get a response after I opened a support ticket, so here I am seeking help for this issue.The workaround that is suggested by Support staff on this forum (email forwarding) is not an option for me unfortunately.Thank you!

Where is absolute position option is there in Figma in latest version? is the name changed as “ignore auto layout”?

I have sort of a quirky issue with icons:I have a set of icons that are linked to my UI kit icons are placed in, e.g. icon button and applied variable for it’s height (it’s locked aspect ratio but we found out applying the variable to height is more reliable than width) we have 3 density modes: regular, compact, and ultra compact icon button nested in another component is causing the icon within to loose the 1:1 ratio when compact or ultra compact mode appliedThe issue disappears when component gets detached 😓 (The search icon in the screenshot below is nested even deeper what only proves the issue is with this components being nested.) 

Hello Figma Team,I am trying to embed a Figma Make design into an external website using an iframe, with a URL like:https://www.figma.com/make/xxx/yyy?node-id=0-1&t=zzz-1. However, the iframe does not seem to load, likely due to Content Security Policy (CSP) restrictions.I have confirmed that Figma Photo (Prototype) can be embedded using the same method without any issues, for example:https://www.figma.com/proto/xxx/yyy?node-id=2-1&starting-point-node-id=2%3B1I have been using the following embed format:https://www.figma.com/embed?embed_host=share&url=${encodeURIComponent(originalUrl)}Could you please let me know if there is any way to embed Figma Make designs via iframe, or if there is an official workaround or recommended approach for displaying Make designs externally?Thank you very much for your support.

Hi, since today my Figma UI (app) seems bugged. Happens in dark and lightmode. Already did a couple of reboots and installed the latest macOS update. The borders are way too solid.  Screenshots:Any ideas how to solve this?

Hello,The desktop app that I have always used on my MacBook with MacOS 11.7.10 operating system stopped working today. There is a white cross on the app preview: when I click to open the application, a notification appears saying that MacOS 12.0 operating system is required.The MacBook (from 2015) can no more be updated. I am asking if it is possible to use the Figma desktop app on the previous version anyway. Hello,I cannot use my education plan eventhough I am verified as a student. I have been verified before, and in summer figma sent my an email that I need to re-verfiy my student status. I did that and sheerID confirmed with me that my student status is still fine and I should be able to continue like normal.They also stated in the email that I will receive an email from figma about how to set up my education plan etc but I never received that email. I also tried to contact the customer support but I never got a reply.I also chatted with the AI support but that lead to nothing. I can access my files and edit them with the free plan. I have been invited to an education team by a fellow student. They have the educatio plan and it works just fine. When I open a file in that team it tells me I need to verify my status in order to not lose access. But when I go to my account under role it tells me I have the “education” role. Hello Figma Community and Support Team, I am an eligible student who has been blocked from accessing the Figma Education plan due to a critical "Verification Limit Exceeded" error from SheerID. I am urgently seeking assistance as my access has been locked for over a week, and I am stuck in a loop between Figma and SheerID support. My Situation and Evidence:Undisputed Eligibility: I was successfully verified twice previously: Once with the old Figma system (early 2025). Once successfully with SheerID in September 2025. I have attached evidence of this successful SheerID verification in my communication with the support team.  I was charged for an editor seat, but this seems to be a mistake.I did not intentionally give full or paid access to the user (Naghmeh), and I was not aware that this would result in a charge. The user did not require editor-level access, and this charge was unexpected.I would appreciate it if you could please review my billing and let me know why this charge occurred, and if possible, help me with a refund or adjustment.Thank you for your support.

Hello! While trying to publish a new version of the plugin we were asked to add 2fa to our hello@viewst.com account to get the possibility to publish a new version of the plugin.  But after we add it and try to publish a new version, we get a new error message "We detected a change to your account details. Please contact support@figma.com to proceed" that blocks our possibility to publish a new version with fixes of our plugin.  And now we are stuck in this state for 2 weeks and couldnt publish fix to plugin (case plugin account inst paid one and we cant reach support, and our primary paid account couldnt get help while its different account issue)What could be our next steps to resolve it?

I can’t seem to find a way to turn off the red measurement tool. If I go to View > Hide UI it does remove it, but it also removes other side navigation components that I need available.   

MCP Server works, but Code Connect UI does not appear in Dev Mode. Can you enable Code Connect UI for our workspace please?
