Issues Accessing Figma in Uzbekistan Due to Regional Restrictions

Hi everyone,
I've been experiencing issues accessing Figma from Uzbekistan recently. It seems that some regional restrictions might be affecting the service. Could anyone provide insights into what's happening and if there have been any recent changes or updates in the past week? Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated.

  • Is this happening in the Figma Desktop App, the browser, or both?
  • If you’re using the app, can you confirm you’re on version 125.10.8 or later?
  • If you’re using the browser version, which one are you using (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.)?
  • Are you seeing a specific error message? If so, what does it say?
  • Could you try switching to a hotspot or another network and then restart to see if that helps?

Yesterday, for unclear reasons, Figma was not accessible in our region and only worked via VPN.
Today, the issue appears to have been resolved.

Hi, This happened in both the app and browser. When I checked the figma app, it said there was no update for you. So I had the last version. I use Firefox as my browser.

Yesterday evening the figma app worked, but it was not stable. Some freezes and lags. My internet speed was not bad. Fast.con was 800 - 900 mbit

I didnt check today yet

When will the situation be fixed? It's not very convenient to work with a VPN

“Importing content” and  “Fetching font list” is blocked. Is there any way to fix this problem? Working with a VPN is not very convenient. The images in the file are also not loaded.

I tried Opera, Firefox, and Chrome, but it didn't work. I downloaded Figma, and it still doesn't work. What's wrong? Why isn't Figma working in Uzbekistan?

Good afternoon, everyone! Like many users in Uzbekistan, I am facing a problem where projects cannot be opened either from a browser or from the application. VPN does not help, nor does clearing the cache. For some users, it works from a browser, but very slowly, while for others it does not work at all. As a temporary solution, please try switching to a hotspot or a different network and restarting to see if that helps as Tom mentioned.

Hello. I'm from Uzbekistan, and Figma hasn't loaded for an hour either. It only works with a VPN.

Hi ​@u5monov — thanks for the update, and sorry this is still giving you trouble.

Based on what I’m seeing, there aren’t any active service disruptions on our side that would explain the login issue right now. That said, I’d like to make sure we’re not missing anything.

Are you still unable to sign in at the moment? If yes, let me know whether you’re seeing a specific error message during login. I have passed along your report for a deeper review and will return with any other insight as it becomes available as well.

For a week now, Figma has been operating in Uzbekistan with disruptions. I wrote about this on the support too.

 

Problems: Loading is too slow when opening a file. The file is not opening.

 

Additionally, changing fonts in the design isn't working either. Also, you can't press and write t. It would be good if such shortcomings were considered.

Hi ​@Suxrobjon_Xurramov - sorry for the trouble with loading your file and connection to Figma in general.

For issues connecting in Uzbeekistan: like Tom mentioned, I’m unaware of any connection issues specific to your location, but there could be a network issue. If you're using a firewall, proxy, or Virtual Private Network (VPN), we recommend you ask your IT department or systems administrator to unblock Port 443. This is the standard port for websites that are run over SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).

I can confirm that you wrote into support, and that someone on our technical quality team has an active conversation with you.
