Hi !

If you can help it’s wonderful ?

I’ve been trying to connect a repository with Figma Make but each time on the figma website i have the same message popping “Could not create repository” in red on the bottom.

I tried doing it on chrome and Safari, both failed.

Do you have any ideas ?

Hey @H4RK4N , our engineering team has just released a fix for this issue.
When you have a moment, please fully refresh Figma and try using the integration again to create and push your Figma Make project to GitHub. Let us know in your ongoing case with the technical quality team if you’re still running into any problems so the team can continue investigating.

Update for everyone here: The internal team confirmed that the issue has been resolved!

For others who are seeing another message “Repository name already exists,” please double-check that the repository name you’re using isn’t already present in your GitHub account.

If the issue continues after that, we recommend reaching out to our support team for further investigation: Submit a bug report. Thank you

Hey @H4RK4N , thanks for flagging this! I understand you’re seeing the Could not create repository” error when trying to connect GitHub to your Figma Make file.

First, please make sure you’ve followed the steps outlined in our Help Center article for setting up the Push from Figma Make to GitHub integration.

If the issue persists, I’d like our team to take a closer look. Please reach out to our support team: Submit a bug report.

This will allow our team to investigate the issue in more detail. Thank you for your patience! 🙏🏼

I’m getting the same exact issue. It’s been persistent since yesterday. Existing Make/Github repos are good to update and push, but its been impossible to create a new one from Make. I even uninstalled figma from github and reinstalled/configured it thinking that would work. It makes a new repo without any code, just from the template, with the template readme. Then says a repo with that name already exists when trying again, so now I have a ton of these repos with slightly different names haha

Same here, still trying to fix it. I have successfully deployed it on my GitHub by downloading the code. But if the Figma can connect to Github directly, would be much better
