Hi I have an issue, where my icons are designed in Illustrator. When copying the icon from Illustrator into Figma, the artwork is scaled up. An example from Illustrator (20px X 18px): After pasting into Figma (26.68px X 24px): The funny thing is, that if I create a basic square in Figma sized 16px X 16px, copy it as svg from Figma and paste it in Illustrator, it is still sized 16px X 16px. Then when copying that same square from Illustrator that I just pasted from Figma and paste it back into Figma it is scaled up. I’m aware that I can “just” scale the icon in Figma after placing it, but it is very inconvenient - especially if you have a large icon library designed in Illustrator. Any idea what is causing this? Hi, is there a proper or good way to save exported content on the computer? I have seen there is the exportAsync function, but that only packages the content into a variable without starting a download. I found one method in the export zip plugin, but it feels unnecessarily complex and a bit hacky as well by starting a download via a html element. Also, the createObjectURL() seem to make trouble, when I tried it on a quick run. That’s the method used by the export zip plugin: zip.generateAsync({ type: 'blob' }) .then((content: Blob) => { const blobURL = window.URL.createObjectURL(content); const link = document.createElement('a'); link.className = 'button button--primary'; link.href = blobURL; link.download = "export.zip" link.click() link.setAttribute('download', name + '.zip'); resolve(); }); Thank you all for helping. 🙂

Hi! I’m using Figma’s Slide Deck feature but can’t seem to find a way to create or apply grids like in regular frames. Is there any workaround to add guides or grids to help with alignment in slides? Thanks! (●’◡’●)

Its been so long yet im not having AI feature in my account. im a subscription owner of Figma and last ui update was also delivered late to my account. It was very very late. this time i would appreciated if the feature given to me in time.

Attempting to import a 17MB DNG image (via drag and drop) and just getting the 'Failed to import…Format not recognized or failed to convert). Anyone know the cause of this? I was under the impression that Figma would just proportionally scale it down. Thanks

Hi! I am a problem on my end, I woke up today with my project broken, button labels are misaligned (they are centered in my design system but are now aligned to the left), and I have also broken a bunch of columns in a report I am currently building (again the cell is aligned to the right in this case and they are aligned in the opposite direction in the file, basically the components have been changing the alignment property), another things is the content fit, that property is also broken. I have restarted my computer, cleared cookies, reloaded the file and nothing, this is a VERY frustrating experience as I am currently working with a large design system and using it in my project, imagine how many hours I have to spend right now to fix it, because the weird thing is that if I click twice the problem is fixed. I hope this description can help, and the issue can be resolved immediately.

Hi everyone! I’m trying to open a file, but it wont load. I have the same problem in desktop app and online. When I trying to open this file, I got this tip “we experiencing issue open this file”. Can anyone help me? I need to open the file again. I can open other files, but not that one. Thanks in advance.

I typed “SHIFT + I” to get some components, this window opened (pop-up) and not closing. I tried “ESC”, clicking outside the box and etc. But it is not working. I’m always havin trouble with closing this window. Please add an “x” button or something to close this.

On 29 October 2024, we noticed that all users (almost 500 users) who were not authorised in Figma Pro team but had access to any of the files as viewers were included in the Pro Team as viewers. We manually removed all users from the team file. We cannot see which files users can access via Pro team and this makes tracking difficult. Is there a place where we can see which files the users that Figma automatically imports can access? Previously, you had a field called ‘User X can see 2 projects’ but it is no longer available. Can you help?

I checked all my notifications settings for comments. Everything is on. I checked that I’m on the right team and was also added as an admin. I’m not able to tag myself in a comment but I can tag other people just fine. Even the files I created people cannot find me to mention. Thought maybe it would just take time for me to show up in the mention drop down but it has been a month.

Hi, I am trying to create a simple animation in a button component where the arrow moves right off the button and then appears back on the button from the left. I would like this animation to be persistent every 10 seconds or so. Hello, I would like to change the view. Currently, the editing toolbar is located centrally at the bottom of the screen. Previously, this toolbar was located at the top left. In the old view, the options such as “Create Component” etc. were also at the top center. How can I switch back to that view? I am still learning from older YouTube videos, which is why the new view is a bit confusing for me. Thank you!

I’m trying to preserve the scroll on a form. I have named the top layers as the same (apply now) which is what all the support I’ve read has said to do. The page that I want to preserve scroll also has an apply now frame but it is not a component. Any ideas? Thanks!

I am very disappointed to see that this payment was deducted from my account without my approval. I had no intention of making this purchase, and I did not authorize this charge in any way. I demand an immediate refund for this unauthorized transaction and request the cancellation of the subscription. I only intended to purchase 3 seats, but I was mistakenly charged for 11 seats on October 22, 2024. How did this happen? I expect a prompt resolution to this matter. If a full refund is not possible, please switch my subscription to a monthly plan and refund the remainder after the charge. am working with a design system, using its components across several design files to create layouts. Since yesterday, I’ve encountered an issue where components in my design files display incorrect properties—specifically, they have an incorrect horizontal flow and size in auto layout. When I click on the text layer of a component, it corrects itself, displaying the right size and adjusting to the layout (filling the container as expected). The main problem is that each user has to manually click on the text layer of each component to make it display correctly. Even after I adjust a component, my colleagues still experience the same issue in their layouts and have to click on the text layer themselves to apply the auto-layout adjustment. Is it some intern bug with our design system or some current Figma bug?
