I’ve seen a few of these questions here but no true resolution. I have a a few project with in my account. There is one that I accidentally set to education and now a few of my team members cannot export or access the files because they do not qualify as students. How can i take my account status out of education and place it back into a free starter account? 

Both links/icon opens figma community, But why they became different after last update?

 I have checked Drafts and Trash, found nothing.Is there any way I could restore my projects?

Hello, I have some questions about Figma’s subscription plans.I am currently on the annual Pro plan, with a renewal date of March 9, 2025. Since Figma’s new plans will take effect from March 11, 2025, I am considering canceling my current plan and re-subscribing to the new plan after March 11.However, I have two concerns:If I cancel my plan now, will I still be able to use all Pro plan features until March 9, 2025? After canceling, I understand that all files will become view-only. If I re-subscribe to a new plan after March 11, will I regain editing access to those files?I would greatly appreciate clarification on these points. Thank you in advance!

Comments just disappeared on a file for us. Has there been any resolution?

I just left a team on figma as i am no longer working for that company and after creating a file, I did not realize that the file was actually in the team. after I left the team, the file is now gone.is there anyway to recover the file back to my account?

For years, my personal Figma account was billed at $15/month for a single design seat. I just discovered that, over the past 3 months, Figma has been charging me for 9 additional design seats tied to ex-coworkers from a company I left nearly a year ago. My bill jumped from $15 to $200/month—without my authorization or approval. I have no idea how these ex-coworkers were added to my personal account; I never invited them, and we only collaborated through the company’s Figma account, which I lost access to immediately after leaving.Now I’m seriously concerned they may have had access to all my client files, raising major privacy and security issues. After the new update my thumbnails became smaller for FigJam files. Do you have any idea about this bug or smth?

When trying to delete a mode of a color variable, Figma freezes. This issue occurs in both the desktop app and the web version. I have tried everything to resolve this issue and also contacted the support team. Their response was: “Please rest assured that our engineering team is dedicated to resolving this issue as quickly as possible. We are committed to keeping you updated throughout the process and will provide new information as soon as it becomes available. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding—we will make sure you are informed every step of the way.” However, I urgently need a solution. I am unable to use this design system library with the business plan. I have no idea when this will be fixed. I saw a user report the same issue four months ago, and it seems like nothing has changed since then.I need an immediate solution—this is blocking my workflow!  

I have a question about short-term access in Figma, especially regarding the new billing model. I've been using Figma for quite a long time but has never wondered this.I'm currently on Professional plan. Can anyone help me answer these questions?When there's no available seat, whenever I upgrade an account in a team to a Paid seat, I'll then buy a Paid seat for the whole team, not that account only, right? So if I just want to grand a short-term access for less than a month, I'll have to pay for that seat for its duration from the purchase date to the end of the billing cycle, or the date I remove the account from the seat, or for I'll have to pay for the whole month? There's 2 other scenarios: What if I remove the account from the seat before the end of the billing cycle: let's say the cycle ends on the 30th, and I assign the account to the seat from the 10th to 20th? Hi! I’m working on a prototype in Figma and could really use some help with two things:1. Clickable avatars with visible selection stateI’ve set up a screen where users can choose an avatar, and that choice correctly shows up later on the profile screen — so that part works!The problem: I want to visually indicate which avatar was selected (like showing a border around the chosen one, or lowering the opacity of the others). But the component already uses a variable to define which avatar is shown on the profile, so I can't figure out how to also show a visual selection state in the avatar grid at the same time.2. Showing typed name on profileI have a text input field where users can enter their name. When you type and press Enter, the name gets stored — that part works.But I don’t know how to show that input value under the profile photo on the profile page.I’m not sure which layer to bind to the variable, or how to display the entered name properly.Here’s my file if you want to check

Hi, Today I noticed that viewers were unable to copy from some files. However, when I toggle the checkbox, Figma doesn’t save the change. After a while, it reverts to untoggled. Some of my files belong to a published library and do not have an owner.

Hi Figma Community! Basically, I have a bunch of one size icons as variants in a component - they all have an auto layout frame applied to them. I want to use the icons throughout my design, but in different sizes. However, I don’t want to create varying sizes within the main component, as there would be too many icons and it would look messy. So what I normally do is: Create another test component using the icon with another element (for example, with a CTA here) Scale the icon using the scale tool (larger as an example here) Then instance swap it and it usually adheres to the new scaled size that I give it. However, recently, this method hasn’t been working and the instance just retains the same size as its original parent varient. *As a note, the icon starts scaling properly if I detatch the instance. Which ideally I don’t want to be doing, as I may have changes to the test component that I need reflected throughout the file. Can anyone assist in finding why this is, that would be

As the Screen recording shows, I cannot change color in part of the instance, not matter if it’s linked to a variable, or detached. It can only be changed via its master component. 

I am trying to apply for the educational plan. However, when I click on https://www.figma.com/education/apply, it shows me “you’re in” and “go to Figma” instead of application also the plan doesn’t change. I emailed support@figma.com, and they replied by stating that I should ask here in the community forum. Please help me out. For your reference I have attached the screen.

Hello, I have 2 questions:first, if I need to create an interaction to a particular destination page, it won’t let me until I do create ‘create component’ for an object and choose it. Is there a way that I can make the destination is the whole page?second, the prototype doesn’t show the whole screen for my design and doesn’t allow roaming between the  interactions I created freely . Am I doing something wrong?I included what I mean in the 2 screenshots below. Thank you in advance. 

I’m sending you this ticket because since the last update of Figma, I can’t use the desktop application on my macOS with Mojave operating system, and I don’t want to update it to the next version. Since I’ve been paying my subscription for years, I believe I have the right to have a desktop version of Figma that I can use from my work computer. Please, I’m looking forward to your response to provide me with a solution. Thanks a lot
