Hi @HGBeacon, thanks for reaching out!
I understand how this may be interrupting your workflow, but Figma only updates the Google Fonts periodically (about every 3 months), so it’s not unusual for some fonts to take a while to appear in Figma.
As a temporary solution, we recommend installing any new fonts you need locally. You can learn how to install fonts here.
That’s not entirely true I’m afraid.
DM Sans was added to Google Fonts years ago, updated last 2 years ago.
See: https://github.com/googlefonts/dm-fonts
Yet it’s missing in Figma Sites.
Agreed - Montserrat which is probably one the most popular Google Fonts (and was added over a decade ago) is not there.
Hey All, thanks for following up!
I was actually referring to Google fonts in Figma, rather than Sites, so apologies for the oversight.
I don’t know the exact timeline that our Sites teams update Google fonts for use in Figma Sites. Others in the community who have had issues with their Google fonts have shared their own temporary solutions:
Please try uninstalling the old fonts, reinstalling by downloading from google. Then, restart your machine and reinstall the Google fonts. You can also try selecting the Google fonts installed locally and deactivate them. Then, restart Figma to see if it fixes the issue.
A workaround for this is to use the Google font’s embed code in the <head> of your html as part of the custom code settings of your Figma site.
