Hi folks. Imagine there’s a Navigation drawer which opens in an overlay. Now you pick an item from the menu and it opens a dialog - obviously in another overlay. Now, how to close the previous overlay? This is my sandbox:Figma – 16 Nov 24 A few screenshots: Here is a screencast, showing that the underlying overlay with Navigation drawer doesn’t get closed.

Hi everyone, I’ve noticed that the variable mode button in Figma’s UI is different when I open IBM’s Carbon Design System. See? It’s a swatch book instead of the hexagon. Why? What am I missing? Thanks!

Hello, I would like to send a copy of a design from one Figma account to another, basically transferring ownership to the client. Though in the drop-down next to the project name the “Transfer” and “Send a copy” options are greyed out. Does anyone know why these options are not available? Many thanks.

(newbie in Figma): I mean… It should be that way… The text should stay in the Auto layout container… “I´ve tried everything” which is or I guess is a lie, otherwise it would work without overlapping, right? The text goes beyond the Auto Layout Frame… But this should not work like that🫠 Is this just a bug? How can I fix this?

Opening the app of Figma to view the project, I notice that the project goes in error. Return home, and I see that the project has been compromised. I see this screen HELP ME TO RECOVER THANK YOU

Hello, Despite the fact that i’m totally lost in the new UI, I’m feeling very incumfortable with the text sise and the colors contrasts. I’ve searched, but I don’t see any option to change the contrast and text size. Does anyone knows if it’s possible ? and how? 😅 Thank you 🙂

Hey everyone, I’m a beginner in Figma and still figuring things out. Here is what I’m struggling with at the moment: I want the text ”DINORIGAMI“ to appear on the screen. This is suppose to happen by an animation that zooms out. The first frame is suppose to show the inside of the ”R” hole, then zoom out, so the whole text is visible. I tried to recreate this effect with some tutorials I watched on zooming but unfortunately couldn’t make it work. I‘m happy for any feedback or further questions. Thank you in advance!

Hi folks. I stumbled upon a simple Dialog open behavior. If I use a component with “WhilePressing” visual effect (like e.g. background dimming), then both onTap and onTouchUp actions won’t cancel the effect. Working on the desktop app, I have resized the UI and made it smaller by mistake. In the online documentation there are the following shortcuts that do not work because I have an Italian keyboard, where 0 and = are on the same key. I cannot change them, since Figma does not support personalising shortcuts. Reset to Default: CtrlShiftAlt0 Make Larger: CtrlShiftAlt= Also the documentation states that in the View panel there should be a function to resize the UI, but there isn’t as you can see in this screenshot. So, how do I reset the size of the UI? Thank you for your help

Hello, I’m wondering for your advice on how to best achieve the following with variables: Have default light & dark mode Have themes and each theme would have a light & dark mode There is one way I can think of to solve this: Have two collections - one with all of the colours and the other with all of the themes (for example light, dark, purple light, purple dark) Is there a way to have one theme only (purple) which would work perfectly with either light or dark mode selected? I appreciate any help!

My designer used the font, “Content”, in his design. It is listed under the fonts that are on Google Fonts. However, when I go to google fonts, I can only find on that is in a different language than English. Where is the English “Content” font?

Is there a way to retry a failed Figma payment without waiting for the next business day or changing my payment method? My payment failed because there wasn’t enough money in my account at the time. I was wondering if there’s a “Retry Payment” option available for manually forcing the payment to go through.

Hello, I just noticed this possible UI3 bug while setting up a prototype in Figma: I was looking for which device would match the Desktop or Wireframe frame selected in the Design panel, but when I tried scrolling down to view more of the available devices, either there’s nothing after the Macintosh (???) part or this is the end of the list and it’s just not rendering properly.

Hi everyone! I’m working on formatting my thesis in Figma and want to share a prototype link with others, but I’d like to control certain display settings to improve the viewing experience. Specifically, I want to make sure that the “Enable Figma shortcuts” setting is disabled by default for anyone who accesses the link. Is there a way to enforce or preset this setting for all viewers, so they don’t have to manually disable it themselves? I haven’t found an option to do this, and any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is it possible to fix this library updating bug? I will make new components, extreme changes etc, and the file won’t detect any changes. It does indicate it knows there is a change though when clicked deeper.

Hi! I’ve a bunch of designs in 1920x1080 for a TV app. I would like to scale them down to 1280x720. I tried with the ‘Scale’ tool manually, it does work but the text styles and blocs sizes are not whole numbers anymore, which is an issue for devs. Is there any other ways to do it with rounding all the values? (Plugins welcome). Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone, I remember there used to be a feature in Figma where you could click on a team member’s name and see a list of all the files they had contributed to, along with the time of their last activity. This made it really easy to track collaboration. Now, it seems like I can only see the most recent activity on a single file, and I can’t find a way to access the full list of files a team member has worked on. Has Figma removed this feature, or is there still a way to access it? Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
