Checking in — are you still running into this error message? The generative nature of Figma Make and AI models means prompts can occasionally fail for reasons that aren’t always clear.

When this happens, a couple of quick steps might help:

1. Wait a short while and try your prompt again.
2. If it’s happening repeatedly in the same file, try duplicating the file and prompting again in the copy.

If you’ve tried those and the issue persists, it’s best to report it as a bug directly to our Product Support team. You can reach them securely via this form. When reaching out, it helps to include:

• the link to this Forum thread for context
• the steps or prompts you entered leading up to the message
• a full-size screen recording of the issue (if possible)
• and a link to the affected file (be sure support-share@figma.com has edit access).

Tried all of that and no luck. This issue is apparently not an outlier as I saw another smilar post with no solutions. I have already submitted the ticket and hope this gets resolved quickly.

Hey ​@hellogoodbye — thanks for double checking on this! You’re right, we did receive similar reports from other designers, and most of those ended up being discussed here: AI response is not working after 2 days of usage. 

I’m circling back with you as the issue should now be resolved. When you have a moment, please give it another try and let me know if you’re still running into any problems.

​@Tom Reem ​@hellogoodbye  Same issue here. I’ve already filed bur report last week but my project is still in the same place and I can’t continue working on it. I can work on others but not on this specific one, which makes me thing that it is related to the specific project itself and it has nothing to do with my account. 

A fix would be much appreciated as we can’t continue doing anything here and the time invested to get here is significant.

Everything should be working as expected now, but if anything else crops up, don’t hesitate to let us know — we’ll make sure the right folks are looped in to help keep things moving forward.

I am getting this same message. I have tried many types of prompts, from very concise and direct steps to prompts that the AI can be free to interpret, but to no avail. After about 220 versions, nothing seems to go through and it’s very frustrating. I noticed though that in the mornings it seems to work slightly better (EST time zone).

I know that there have been bug fixes released, but they don’t seem to fix my issue.

If you’re still having issues after the bug fix that our Make team released last month, you may be running into a new or separate issue. As Tom mentioned above, there are many reasons that our Make prompts can fail. It may be best to have our team take a closer look at your file.

Same here - same error across all existing projects, and any new project I start. Request submitted.
