It has happened with me multiple times, that I go to click Delete, I accidentally click on \ - the keyboard shortcut in Mac to “select parent”. And then I go click Delete and end up deleting the whole frame.

I’d rather not have that keyboard shortcut, is there a way that it can be removed from the platform, or is there a way that I can remove that just for myself.

Hey there, sorry for the frustration!

It’s not possible to disable or remap any existing shortcuts, but this is already on our radar for inmprovement! Feel free to add your feedback for the team and vote here:

I thought shortcuts are only suggested by apps and pushed on an OS level. So, I thought I can remove any shortcut form Figma just by going to my System Settings. Is that not the case?

Anyway, yes, removing shortcuts with ease would be useful. For example, in UI3, Commant + K opens up Actions, but I also use the same shortcut to make a word a link while writing a comment in Figma. Now I have no idea how to create that link.
