For some reason, we’ve never been able to apply corner smoothing to a fully rounded rectangle or pill shape. Although I’ve found a workaround, it’s imperfect, time-consuming, and not ideal. Is there any way to apply corner smoothing to a pill shape?

I'm working on a library. Everytime I try to edit anything on a component (even text), after the smallest change, the auto save icon shows on the tab and things get incredibly slow. Even typing is a pain. Is there a way to pause auto save so that I can make edits in peace? Any workarounds?

In prototype mode, the hover effect (“while hovering”) sticks and does not disappear after hovering over an element. As a result, when hovering over several objects, all hover effects remain on the screen. What is the bug? : worried: Closing and reopening the prototype helps solve the problem. But after some time, the bug may appear again. It looks like some kind of memory problem, in general, prototypes and files take a long time to load and sometimes slow down. I’ve been looking into how I can leverage the new MCP server functionality in my design-to-dev handover process, but have been struggling with a few issues. As a means of speeding up my web design process, I have created singular components (no variants) that use variables for spacing, typography etc. These variables relate to modes like Wide Desktop, Desktop, Tablet, Mobile. My idea is that I’d like the MCP to read the singular component and be able to extract all the variables information across all modes and map those values to Tailwind classes (such as pt-4 md:pt-6 lg:pt-8 etc..) With a fair bit of back-and-forth, I’ve been able to recreate a passable version of my designs, but only for a single instance - this using variables from the default/first variable mode. So it’s not ideal to select one frame/screensize at a time and prompt the agent to recreate it - the code output can get messy pretty quickly. Do we know if there if Figma have release plan for the MCP to be able to read

I’m still getting to grips with Figma. I’ve just noticed that there is now Figma Sites. If I purchase a paid plan, does this give me access to Figma Design as well, or just Sites?

I just can’t extract an image using Figma MCP. As you can see its successful, but it gives me a url like this, which doesn’t point to anything hence the images do not get rendered. Also attaching my Figma MCP settings. And before anyone talks about it losing context etc because of the size. This is what I’m exporting, just this… Because I just want to find out how to do a successful export with an image.

In Figma Make, how do you delete extra or empty files from the code tree? I can’t delete them or prompt the AI to delete them successfully. I’d like to make sure they do not confuse future prompts.

I’ve been using the embed feature to add my prototype to a website. It was working at first on both Wix and Squarespace (but I honestly don’t think it’s the website that is the issue), showing the prototype and frames for a specific page (desktop, mobile, and tablet). Everything interactable and working fine. But for some reason, when I go to copy the embed code (because I was changing background color and whatnot), the code is different and instead embeds the entire design file. I have been manually going in to the page, selecting the starting frame, presenting, and sharing/copying it from there, which has worked for me until recently. Now, it displays the first page of my design file, giving the option to change between pages - which I don’t want to show. Hi everyone,I’m really hoping someone here can help, because I’m stuck and support hasn’t replied. I accidentally added one extra full seat to my plan (I already had 2 collaborators). I removed it right after, thinking that would cancel it — and it was never assigned or used. But now I’ve been charged for it anyway, and I still see 1 unassigned full seat showing up as "available" in the billing section. I can’t find any way to cancel or remove it. Has anyone had the same issue? I really don’t want to be billed again for a seat I’m not using. Thanks in advance!

I want a way or a plugin to add custom metadata/custom properties/custom attributes to Figma components. My goal is to design components like Button, ComboBox, Radio Button, Table, TextArea, and TextInput, and attach metadata to each. I need to fetch this metadata later using Figma’s GET API. The metadata can be Plain text or JSON as string and can be of any number (10/20/30) I tried using default component properties capability associating it with bunch of hidden text type, but when I create an instance of the component, the properties associated with hidden text don’t appear in the new instance. Any suggestions on how to achieve this or a pluging which can be used to achieve it would be very very helpful.

Is it possible the prompt result from figma make design wise to be copied in the main design file i’m not seeing any button that allows me to do that

Hello everyone, I’ve created icons, all vector layers with the same name, and every icon has a variant of sizes - small (16px) medium (24)and large (32). They also have round/sharp Boolean property. I’ve created buttons, also with size variants with matching names and sizes. There’s also variant for only label, only icon, left icon and right icon. There’s also instance swap for every icon size. I also have the icon as nested instance. So I take an instance of the button and I change its size, then I change the icon - lets say from “search” to “plus” for example - but if I want to change the size of the button, the instance swap return to its default icon instance. What should I do, or what did I do wrong?

Every time i [zoom in], the blue select rectangle appears, and when i try to zoom inside of a frame it shifts the items out of the frame. So to put it simply; it detaches elements in frames, and groups elements that are not in frames.

This seems like a very basic question, but I wasn’t able to find an answer or a solution: when I’m inserting/adding a component from my assets, what’s the best way to make sure it goes directly in to the correct folder in my layers? Currently an inserted component always goes at the TOP of the layers - and then I need to scroll and drag it to where I want it. Can anyone help? thanks

So I am trying to make a “like system”. When going between these two frames the state of the liked “Food” box should remain. I have both visibility and the status of the heart set up as variables. It does remember the state when moving from the first frame into the second, but not the second into the first. Meaning if I change the state in the second one it does not transfer back to the first, the first will stay how it was. The food category is there on the second frame it is just not visible due to being tied to opacity. When you click it on the second frame it disappears, how I want it. I can send more images or try to explain better as well what I am trying to do.

I’m experiencing an issue with an instance swap property in Figma. I have a Card component with Auto-layout (width: fixed, and height: hug). It wraps an instance of a component associated with an instance swap property (width: fill and height: hug). When I create an instance of Card and change the inner instance through the instance property it works fine the first time. From there, if I change it again, Figma sets the height of the inner instance to fixed. This crops the content. Does anyone knows why this happens and how to fix it? Is it a bug in Figma? This auto-layout frame is a child/inside a basic frame that I should be able to move things around in. How the heck do I turn this off when I hover over to click and drag. all I want to do is drag the group/autolayout over a bit manually and arrows in this small space are producing too large of a move. this comes up for me a ton and it’s insanely annoying. I can’t click and drag without it also changing the auto layout spacing. if I want to change that I will go to the tool sidebar and do it myself. I don’t need this pink stuff trying to do it for me just because i’ve hovered over it. Also, FYI - I couldn’t even screengrab it through the OS, because this literally happens on hover, so I snapped it with my phone - hence the bad photo, apologies.

Hi, new to Figma here. I’m in a UI/UX course and we’re tasked with creating a site for a movie. We picked Toy Story, and I’m trying to create a frame with Hamm in which you click him, and a gold coin pops up with a review on the movie. If you click him again, the coin goes back in. Another click, and a coin pops up again, but with a different review. How do I make that happen? I have Hamm on the frame and I have a gold coin component with different variants created. In the first frame, Hamm has a small coin hidden behind him. On first click, I used smart animate to switch to the next frame, where the coin enlarges and comes up. On the second click on Hamm, I want the coin to return back to behind Hamm, and also switch to the next variant of the coin. So that on the third click on Hamm, another coin will pop up, but with a different text. Do I have to create a frame for each variant, or is there another way to make that happen?

I’m using videos in my web prototype, however their previewing as crusty and pixellated. The videos uploaded are small (6mb) and I’m currently not even using them fullscreen. Is there a setting that I have done wrong, or is there a work around?

I thought it was just my bluetooth keyboard glitching out, but cmd + z is not undoing any action, nor is going to the Edit menu > Undo. Has anyone encountered this issue before? And if so, how did you resolve it?

Hello guys, I’m having an issue with one of my component. I’m trying to make a button where the arrow below the text is taking the full width of the container (aka the text width). I thought it would’ve been a simple task but turns out it’s not working at all. Instead of the arrow stretching longer, it simply disappears for a moment and then reappears in the longer form. Both instance have the same layer names, the prototype is simply ‘While hovering’, smart animate, ease in and ease out, 300ms, nothing fancy. There seems to be a bug where the Min and Max values do not show up on component instances? The values do get applied, but they do not show up in the W (width) and H (height) fields, so there is no way to see that’s where the width is coming from, or to clear the min / max when an override is needed. NOTE: this seems to happen only with nested components. In my example I have a button component, inside a “Button Group (Save or Cancel)” component. An instance of the button shows the Min width, but the button in an instance of the button group does not. Possibly related: Can’t remove min and max height when the component is nested

Very low performance speed in Figma Make when the thread reaches large sizes (currently 230+ iterations). All actions in the chat area occur with a significant delay (typing, scrolling, etc.), making it impossible to work. However, the prototype itself works well within FM. Has anyone encountered this? What could be the cause? Could it be related to the power of the laptop?
