Hi everyone,I’m in a bit of a tricky situation and hoping someone here has gone through something similar and found a workaround.I recently decided to apply for the Figma Education plan. However, I didn’t realize I could just upgrade my existing personal account.Instead, I accidentally created a brand new Figma account using my university email and successfully verified my student status on that new account.My dilemma is that all my existing work, assets, and active preview links are on my personal account. Because I’m already verified on the university email, I can’t simply re-verify my personal account without hitting a "Verification Limit Exceeded" error via SheerID.Has anyone successfully navigated this? Specifically, I'm looking to find out: Is there any hidden method or specific support channel to transfer the SheerID verification status over to my main personal account? Hello, Figma Support!I recently upgraded from the Professional plan to the Organization plan and prepaid for an annual subscription. After spending some time with the billing documentation, I realized I had misunderstood how the Organization plan billing model works compared to the Professional plan.Unfortunately, the Organization plan is more expensive than I can realistically afford, so I'd like to ask whether it's possible to downgrade back to the Professional plan.More specifically, I'm hoping there may be a way to apply the value of my Organization subscription toward a Professional subscription.Here's my current billing situation:I prepaid for 3 Full seats for one year, totaling $2,158.20 (including tax). Since then, I've added 5 additional Full seats. Hello all - completely new here.Trying to get my head around MAKE and SLIDES as a newbie.I’ve used MAKE to build a SLIDE deck template, but I now want to convert that MAKE asset into SLIDES so I can add my content and build out my slide deck.It doesnt seem possible - but I am using the FREE trial tier so assume this function is a paywall feature?Before I pay to upgrade to a paid plan - can anyone confirm - IS IT ACTUALLY possible to convert from MAKE to SLIDES?

I'd like to know if there is any forecast for the release of improvements and new features for Figma Motion? There are many suggestions for improvements here from the community and, for me, the most important thing is the ability to control animations created in motion mode within prototype mode, so that we can truly have interactive animations.

Using variables  I have created a bunch of themes. Inside these themes are differing text styles properties linked to text styles. The limiting issue I have found is, I can’t automate case setting changes per text style, per theme, all of my themes either need to be CAPS, Sentence case or 1 of the other options.(Theres a clunky work around that you can do via components and booleans but it bloats the component library as you have to times the component by X amount of themes,  when a simple variable allocation would fix this issue)Location Text style → Edit text style → Type details → Case Id like a way to be able to toggle automatically this area depending on the theme Im using.Any advice or plans to update this in the future, I’m all ears.  I really liked the new check design tool, but I believe I encountered a problem.When I find a color and try to replace it in side, it doesn't find the colors in my library. My design system is published and normal, it should appear, right?I've already selected it to just base it on my library, but it still doesn't find anything.I also noticed that the colors in the switch menu only appear if I create the color as a variable, but I should use it from the color styles library, right?Would you have to duplicate all colors as variables? it's not so practical if that's the solution. 

I have a header in my web application with a search icon. When the user clicks the icon, the search bar should expand from right to left.The problem is that the animation works, but the expanded width is incorrect. I've built this type of expanding search bar many times before and never ran into this issue, so it's strange that I can't figure out what's causing it now.I've already tried setting the constraints to Right + Top and Right + Bottom, but neither produces the expected behavior.P.S.: It works well when I manually expand it in header component, it’s just the prototype where it just doesn’t workComponent set Header Prototype 

Hi everyone,I run a content site called Crabguide, https://www.crabguide.com/how-to-clean-hermit-crab-shells/ is one of our pages, and I am planning a small interactive quiz feature for the site (helping readers figure out which shell type or size fits their hermit crab). I am learning basic JS to build it, but I have zero design background and want to sketch the flow out first before writing any code.For someone who has never used Figma, is it overkill to learn proper wireframing/prototyping for a single small feature, or is it worth it just for planning question flow and layout before coding? Any beginner-friendly starting points for a non-designer would help.Thanks!

Anyone have found a workaround with the interaction “draggable” blocking the click behaviour of a card? I’m building a prototype and I’d need to have both of the behaviours, a card that is draggable on long press/drag/release and a that take you to the connected link when pressed with a normal click. I tried also a bunch of prompts in the Code Layers but nothing seems to solve it. Any idea?

I’ve created over 100 artboards in Figma and want to create a PDF from them. After exporting the file, I found that it’s quite large in size. How can I effectively reduce the file size? Compressing the PDF with online tool (ilovepdf) only seems to decrease the size by about a third, and it’s still around 10MB. I can’t export it as an image also. Any help and explanation why it’s so heavy will be appreciate!

I currently use an educational plan, i graduated from prev uni and now am enrolled at another uni. Is there any way i can update my education plan with a new uni email so that i can keep on using my current acc as a student?

i am new to Figma and i just want to build an interesting portfolio website. I use Figma Make from scratch and keep editing until i satisfied. However when I tried to publish the web to see the outcome in browser, it just show the very first version. Yet i could still see properly in the preview panel. Then I kept trying to press update and publish and it’s still not working. Then I remembered a option say clear like cache memory? or something like that in the chat room, i pressed it. then suddenly the preview panel refreshed, and it goes back to the first scratch version. Everything is gone. I tried to restore the previous versions, but it said it couldnt fetch the version. EVERYTHING IS GONE including my AI credits :(

Looking for an efficient way to do a client presentation for marketing campaigns, multi size emails, social, copy etc that need to be in a presentation form. Slides will not let me change the size, as I need them vertical to house the emails and put 3-4 emails side by side.  

Can Figma Make use the custom fonts available to my organization and team?

I thought the AI worked for designs as well, just like https:sleek.design, but unfortunately for me, what is made, can’t be edited on Figma Design. How do I cancel this subscribtion. This has always been a pain point for me — whenever I need a logo from a website for a moodboard, competitive audit, or brand exploration, I end up digging through DevTools or screenshotting something blurry.I finally got frustrated enough to build a Chrome extension to solve it. It's called LogoFetch — it scans the active tab and surfaces every logo it finds (inline SVGs, linked images, favicons, OpenGraph assets, CSS backgrounds) in a panel. Hi everyone, I need help with the following: I'm creating a library with variables. Within it, I have two button design styles (skins). One skin is more classic, and the other is more modern. The idea is that when using a button from the library, I can choose the design skin. Changing the font, background, and corner settings between them works fine. However, the problem is that I need the shadow to only be present in one style, and if I change the skin, it shouldn't have a shadow. I'm creating the shadow values ​​using variables, but I don't know how to configure this.I would greatly appreciate any help. 

I’m on Starter and trying to use Transfer from a workspace that still shows All projects to a destination team on Professional that shows All folders. The destination URL validates and shows verified, but after I select Request transfer, I get: ‘You cannot transfer to this organization at this moment. Please contact support for more details.’ The item contains three design files, and this happens in the browser and the desktop app.

 I have a sidebar in my web application design, and I've created it as a component set with Expanded and Collapsed variants.  The issue I'm facing is that when I switch to the Collapsed variant in Prototype mode, it doesn't match the actual Collapsed variant defined in the component set.If you look closely in the image below, you'll notice that the Dashboard label is still visible in the prototype, even though the Collapsed variant in the component set doesn't contain any text. Am I missing a setting, or is this a bug? I've attached screenshots of both the component set and the prototype for reference.

How can I better organize all of my Figma files. Currently, everything I have ever created is just listed in chronological order. I would like to organize in folders. I have read that I can organize in projects but I don’t see how to do that. How do I create projects within a project? For example, I would like to have a project named “Hospital” where I put all of the designs I do for the hospital. Underneath/inside hospital, I would like to have sub folders/projects like Posters Mobile Apps Intranet Designs Website Designs Is this possible?
