I tried to look for it in View like ive seen online but the option is not there

From your screenshot, it looks like you’re actually in a Figma Slides file, not a Design file. Is that what you intended?
If so, there is a Design Mode toggle in the toolbar, or you can use the shortcut: Shift + D to enter Design mode.
If you didn’t mean to create a Figma Slides file, you can return to the Home file browser page and select the 1st blue Figma Design file icon to create a Figma Design file.
