Which UI/UX trends should we prioritize in 2026 (product pages, cart flow, search)? How do you balance performance with rich visuals on ecommerce platforms? What tools, frameworks, or plugins do you recommend for responsive ecommerce design?  How is this meant to be used? What is the purpose?

Hi everyone,I used to copy an image (Ctrl+C from browser or local folder) and then paste it (Ctrl+V) directly into an image component in Figma - like for cards or avatar images - and it would automatically replace the image.But recently, this no longer works. When I try pasting, nothing happens. Now Figma only shows options like “Upload from computer” or “Make an image” (screenshot attached).I’m wondering: is this a recent change or bug in Figma?Is there still a way to paste an image directly into a component without having to upload it manually?Thanks in advance!  

I have used 3 different libraries in my page and have kept everything updated. The components I used in my work files are auto updating and somehow changing schemas and sizes without me or my team touching them. I am not able to track these as well on what has changed. Some frames which are marked for dev have changes as well and we dont have any notice or indication of this. Am I going wrong somewhere or is this a bug from figma?I looked at the history and I dont see any one touching anything. 

The problem is that I ran out of space in my email, so the letter wasn't sent. I freed up some space, but the letter still hasn't arrived. How can I get a link to restore the team again? support hasn't responded to me for 24 hours

I have been having this issue since 2 months ago. Everytime I attempt to open Figma Mobile App and sign up/log in…..it redirects me to this pop up saying “Update or Switch Browsers….Figma requires Chrome 99+, Firefox 101+, etc”. I have been doing these WITH NO avails:Re-Installing Figma Clearing Figma & Chrome cache Installing newest vers of Firefox & Microsoft Edge for the sake of merely logging in Logging out from Figma Desktop app etc etcBtw, my device specification as for now:Samsung  - OS Android 16 Chrome 145  

Why does the slice tool move everything out of the way instead of sitting on top of what you want to slice? It does this even if I’m on the top frame. Coming from adobe I’m completely lost as to why this functions like this. The goal here is to get half of a section exported. Is there another way to do this?  

Hello. We are looking for a way to create banners at scale in various sizes (ex. 300x250, 250x250, 970x250). The solution right now is that we are using a Component that we copy over all the banners. And that works for one single set. The trouble shows up when we try to have 2 (Master) Components within the same file. Basically Component A (image) drives many banners.But if we copy Component A (image) to become Component B (image), the connects to its associated banners are lost. Can this be done in Figma - directly? Or Buzz? Or using a plugin? Thank you.

Hi everyone,I’m working on a design case study for a client and I need to create a key visual and then adapt it into at least 10 different digital ad formats (Instagram feed, stories, reels, YouTube banner, email header, display ads, etc.). I’d like to automate this process in Figma using Auto Layout + Variables, so that when I update the main KV (texts, colors, images), all other formats adapt automatically.I already know the basics of Auto Layout, but I’m not sure how to structure the file to make it scalable and avoid manually adjusting every format.Do you have any tips, workflows, or even free plugins/templates that could help me speed this up?Thanks a lot 🙏

I've been setting up a webhook integration to monitor file changes, and I ran into some confusing behavior with the FILE_UPDATED event. I'm sharing my findings here in case it helps someone else, and to confirm if this is the intended behavior.My Setup:Plan: Professional Plan Authentication: Personal Access Token Scopes: My token has webhooks:write, file_content:read, and file_comments:read permissions. Integration Tool: I'm using n8n (a workflow automation tool) which receives the webhook events. My n8n instance has a public URL and is reachable by Figma. Webhook Event: FILE_UPDATED 

I want to use a pen tablet in Figma Design. It basically works out of the box. The `Pencil` tool supports pen pressure, but how can I disable this?I want always to draw with a fixed width (like when I use a mouse). For example, in Photoshop, we can easily disable pen pressure from brush settings.

Hi, I hope there is a solution to my problem with the new figma site file. I have done many animations there for my prototypes and want to use them in my portfolio in Behance. The only way I know I can link a figma prototype in Behance is by embedding it with an iframe. I know how to do that from a normal figma design file (and it does display correctly) but I can’t seem to find how to do it from a figma site file. If I copy the embed code from a figma site file, the iframe displays the entire project, not only the prototype.I really don’t want to redo all the animations the old fashioned way in a figma design file because this takes way more time and it’s redundant.Can someone please save me? Is there a way not to animate this all over again?

Hi, well I have issue in my icon library that some icons are not changing colors when using them in other files/projects. I know that fix is to do CTRL+E and publish library but I have several hundred icons and that’s not possible because If I select all of them and click CTRL+E it will merge them. Is there some other fix ? I know that color not changing is known Figma bug. 

I have a figma plugin which was published some months ago, I want to upload a new version for the plugin but I am unable to do it. I am trying to “Locate local version” but it shows me a development plugin instead of allowing me to “Publish a new version”. Any guess what might cause this?I tried updating the manifest to match my plugin ID and I was able to get the “Publish a new version” option and now I am getting an error I would appreciate any help. Hi everyone,I’ve been struggling with a prototyping issue for several hours and haven’t been able to figure out a solution. Hoping someone here has encountered a similar problem or has a workaround.Setup: I have a button component that contains only an icon (also a component), and the icon is set up to be swappable via instance swap. This button is used inside a navigation component, which has two variants (expanded/collapsed). Each variant is supposed to use a different icon inside the button — a left oriented arrow for expanded state and a right oriented arrow for collapsed state. In design mode, everything works as expected. Switching between the navigation variants shows the correct icon in the button.

Hi everyone! Can I resize components and elements with autolayout enabled? I need to adapt a desktop wireframe for a tablet, but I don't know how to do it.

Has the “Rasterize Selection” option been removed?The old instructions say to find it under the Object menu but I can’t see it there on my end.

I recently upgraded my laptop to an NVIDIA 5070 (8GB model), hoping to resolve the performance issues I had with my old 3060 (4GB), which I assumed was struggling to handle Figma.Unfortunately, the upgrade hasn’t helped yet. I’ve tried enabling the High Performance GPU option for Figma in both Windows and NVIDIA settings, and I’ve explored almost every solution I could find online. At this point, I’m starting to think the issue is Figma itself.Figma has never felt like a truly smooth experience for me; there is always a choppy feeling to the app, like a bit of a "Frankenstein’s Monster." Recently, however, that drag has felt even more intense. To see what I mean, try changing colors using the color picker in the Variables panel or running a Smart Animate transition with a large dataset.Can someone please tell me if I’m missing something? Since Feb 12th, Make was loading a blank canvas with no error message. The layout UI appeared but the preview area stayed empty. In DevTools I could see realtime connections established but no data coming through. Later the behavior changed — now it shows “Couldn’t load Make” and the request: /api/make/fetch_ds_code_gen_status returns 400 Bad Request. Important observations:  Figma Design works perfectly (multiplayer + editing OK) Only Make is affected Happens across multiple browsers and devices (Mac + iPad) Same behavior on different networks (home Wi-Fi and mobile hotspot) Clearing cache, reinstalling browser, disabling extensions, and logging out/in did not help Network requests are no longer failing — the backend seems to refuse initializing the Make runtime This started after a connection

Hey all, I am finally getting round to trialing out Code Connect, Figma MCP and the like to see how it all works and if there are any noticeable benefits to these features for my wider team.I had some issues initially setting up, but have finally gotten to the point where I can connect them to GitHub, for testing  purposes I am using the Figma Design System and corresponding coded components. However when connected, I get this error, and I am unsure how to fix it. Has anyone come across this before, and any advice on how to resolve? Thanks!  

I set up an MCP server in cursor to try to move designs from Figma to Cursor. I followed the set up instruction from Figma exactly. I see a green badge with 6 tools and 3 prompts enabled in Cursor.I see a green enabled badge in the MCP section of dev mode in Figma. And yet… my cursor agent can’t grab designs from Figma. Keeps getting a tool not found error. I am on a regular paid plan.plz help
