As more subjects are added, the layout starts to feel cluttered and harder to manage.I’m not sure about the best way to structure the inputs — whether to use cards, tables, or simple stacked rows. HiI have a button that contains icons and a text layer. I need the text layer to have a max width of 160px as it needs to truncate very long button texts. However, we also need a version, where the text isn’t truncated when above 160 px width for some other designs.My question is, if there is a way to override the max width value in a component instance or if I need to create a boolean text layers with no limit to width, that can then be toggled on/off depending on desired behavior.I guess it can also somehow be achieved using slot components, but I would prefer to just be able to override the max width from the main component on my component instance to avoid complexity.Any ideas? How can I enable the new Variables UI where the button is in the left toolbar and the Variables page opens in full screen? My other account already uses the new UI across all pages, but this account still has the old UI where Variables open in a small modal.

I have a scenario where I need to fetch data (GET /v1/files/:key) from a file that has Password Protection enabled (Shared via "Anyone with the link + Password").Currently, when my script attempts to access these files using a valid X-Figma-Token, I receive a 403 Forbidden error.I have looked through the REST API documentation but cannot find a parameter or header to pass the file password.I noticed that when accessing via the browser, the client makes a request to an internal endpoint (https://www.figma.com/api/files/:key/check_password) which sets a session cookie. Hi, I’m really new in using figma. Usually our company are using adobe XD, then we plan to change to figma. Both of us don’t expose too much with figma, especially frame and rectangle. What is the different between them? Is using frame for everything such as button, card, etc is following the industry standard? Is that so, it’ll be the frame on the frame right, since it’s different from XD that use artboards is specific for the website layout.  Also, anything do I need to know else about figma?

I’m interested to know if embedding in an iframe can work. Has anyone tried embedding in a figma site url in a website environment such as wordpress/episerver or magnolia? If it does has anyone any examples or advice? Thanks you so much. : )

Hi, I hope there is a solution to my problem with the new figma site file. I have done many animations there for my prototypes and want to use them in my portfolio in Behance. The only way I know I can link a figma prototype in Behance is by embedding it with an iframe. I know how to do that from a normal figma design file (and it does display correctly) but I can’t seem to find how to do it from a figma site file. If I copy the embed code from a figma site file, the iframe displays the entire project, not only the prototype.I really don’t want to redo all the animations the old fashioned way in a figma design file because this takes way more time and it’s redundant.Can someone please save me? Is there a way not to animate this all over again?

Hello everyone!Are there any options that add gray to white shapes on export?I’m trying to export some designgs from figma, but they are spoiled by gray pixels in (I guess) partially visible positions. To make it clear I’m trying a really simple shape now. It’s just a 50x12 rectangle with 12px border radius. I looks great in Figma:All correct in FigmaBut after export I get some grayed pixels: Export is spoiledI can’t get correct output I need. Any suggestions please?Thanks for any assistance!

Hello,I am a user of the Figma Enterprise version.To use the Code Connect feature, I created a Figma project, converted it into a library, and published it. However, when I clicked the 'Connect to components code' button to link the components to code, I discovered that a GitHub account belonging to another user was already connected.I understand that in an Enterprise environment, the integration between Figma and a GitHub account can be configured at a team or organizational level by an administrator. I would like to know if the current issue is caused by such a centralized setting or if there is another reason.Could you please let me know if there is a way to change the connection to my intended GitHub account or to disconnect the existing one and set up a new connection?Thank you.

I have a boolean variable to show/hide a layer, but I can’t assign it to the layer. I swear the icon for it used to be in this panel. I am going crazy.

How in God’s name do you change the angle of a gradient when selecting multiple layers of text?amazing that this $10b company hasn’t made this obvious/easyThe “rotate gradient” button does exactly nothing.  

I have some buttons that have a hover effect and in the prototype there is slight movement of the content. I checked the position of the content to be the same in both instances (default and hovered) in regards to the margins and in between items I applied a “while hovering” interaction with instant animation This also seems to happen in between separate screens of a prototype for text in a header component that doesn’t have animation applied or any other interaction. Anyone has any idea?
