Just to clarify for anyone else who might come across this post with a similar question:
We don't offer prorated refunds for unassigned seats. If you've paid for a seat, it remains available for you to assign to someone else until your plan renews.
If you no longer need that seat, you can make that adjustment when it's time to renew your plan. Here are some guides where you can find more details:
To help monitor charges, you might want to consider setting your seat approval settings to "Manually approve seats." This gives you more control over new seat additions. You can learn more about that here: Set approval settings for new seats.

This is super confusing. Why does one need to wait till at the dot near billy to get rid of unassigned seats? That part of the app is rarely checked until you’re billed.
Simple question because non of the docs make it clear:
how do I get rid of available unassigned seats — or better, how does one downgrade to remove them?
