How to make published file free?Why Figma redirecting to third party service? Hello,I was previously using the Free plan on Figma. To try the most affordable paid option, I purchased a plan that was around $5. Afterwards, I switched back to the Starter plan to avoid recurring charges.However, on July 15, 2025 at 01:05 AM, a $33 charge was made to my account. When I asked the chatbot about this, I was instructed to check my subscription details via the admin button in the file browser's left sidebar. But since I’m on the Starter plan, I do not see any admin button and therefore cannot access that information.The chatbot also confirmed that I’m currently on the Starter plan.Since the charge was made, I haven’t canceled any subscription — mostly because, as a Starter plan user, I don’t have access to any cancelable paid plan. I would like to understand the reason behind this $33 charge.If the charge had only been around $5, I might have assumed it was a small account-related issue. I’ve been having issues with images failing to upload and show a loading/buffering state for images.Happens when there are more than 1 image columns/cell and more than 1 row of content. No clean runs where all images from all rows and columns/cells get uploaded smoothly. Text columns/cells work fine on all rows.It’s hard to say what the trigger zone for this bug is--I’ve tested it with dozens of variations of sample XLXS files trying to replicate it and search for a sweet spot that doesn’t break the bulk uploads--always breaks with multiple rows and columns containing images. Pictured below: The upload preview and what it outputs when using the attached file. Screen recording of a test run.   

About an hour ago, the auto layout control fields and the border radius field are not responding when trying to click into them and adjust values. 

Since a few days ago when I copy text from the web and it contains links, these are including when pasting to Figma even when I use CMD+SHIFT+V. I have to “hover” the text, wait for the popover, click edit and then unlink. It’s frustrating to do this every time. Any workaround?

I’m using the layout guide to create columns, but they are failing to show up? I’m currently using the Figma Desktop App version 125.5.6 on macOS Sequoia 15.5.  

Both Figma library and site files are in the same project but can’t see the library I’ve just published as an available library to be connected in my site file.

Hi everyone, I’ve noticed something over the past few weeks that feels like a UX regression, and possibly even a bug.Before, when working with elements like a button frame, I could add properties like Fill, Stroke, and others by clicking anywhere in the gray area of that section on the right panel. I didn’t have to aim precisely at the small + button or the label. It felt smooth and natural, and helped me move quickly.Recently, that behavior changed. Now, I have to click directly on the + button or the property label. Clicking the gray area does nothing. It may seem like a small thing, but over time it creates micro-friction. When you add that up across many interactions, and for many users, it becomes a noticeable slowdown.One reason I think this might be a bug is because the Export section still works the old way. If you click the middle gray area there, it triggers the export action. That inconsistency makes me think the change in behavior might not be intentional.If this is just a

Hello Figma community, I’m encountering an issue with setting a fixed background image in my Figma project. Here’s a breakdown of the problem I’m facing: Background Image Overlapping Other Layers: When I try to set the background image as fixed by placing it under the fixed section of the layers panel, it ends up being displayed in front of the rest of the layers. This behavior is unexpected, as I would expect the background image to remain behind all other layers. Opacity Setting Issue: Additionally, the background image is set at 15% opacity. However, due to the aforementioned problem with layer order, the words and images from the scrollable layers are showing through the background image. This is not the desired effect, as I intend for the background image to remain fixed. Also, I tried to use the fix from a Topic from April 2021 from this forum, but it also didn’t work. While working on a file, when I collapse all layers (OPT+L), it seems like Figma starts syncing the file, which makes it extremely slow for a few moments. I didn’t have this problem in the past.

I use Figma in view only mode for work and for no reason now when I hover over a property variable the actual value of the variable doesn’t show anymore. I’ve only seen one other forum post talk about this from 9 months ago and the figma rep said it was fixed in an update. I restarted my laptop and installed figma desktop, but the problem persists. Does anyone know if there is any fix to this.

Hello everyone,I’ve stumbled upon a rather frustrating issue when exporting frames to JPG — and I wonder if anyone has experienced the same, or has a clue where to dig.When I export a frame to JPG (doesn’t matter whether it’s @1x, @2x, or @3x), I keep seeing strange artifacts. Specifically: it looks as if some pixels shift places — like tiny glitches — and what’s most odd, they appear in different places depending on the export scale.All positions of my artboard and all the objects inside the frame are aligned to whole numbers (e.g., 2412 instead of 2412.54). I double-checked all coordinates — no fractions hiding anywhere.Yet, the exported JPG shows these random pixel-level misalignments, and it’s making me a little… poetic with frustration.Has anyone else encountered this? Could this be a rendering bug, or am I missing something subtle?Looking forward to your thoughts and wisdom — and may your pixels stay aligned.Thank you!upd. I noticed this problem on Windows, but not on Mac... 

How can I fix the problem where some parts of the image are corrupted when exporting the image to png?  

I’m trying to publish an bugfix update of our plugin, and the Publish plugin window displays the error “Please enable two-factor authentication to publish this plugin”. Our company uses SSO, and does not have two-factor enabled. The support page at https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042293394-Publish-a-plugin-to-the-Community says You need to have two-factor authentication enabled to publish plugins, including publishing updates to existing plugins. You won’t need to use two-factor authentication if you sign in to Figma via SAML SSO or Google SSO. But I can’t find any further information about how to publish the update without enabling two-factor.

I have published 3 sites now using Figma sites.  They are all active and accessible...with one major problem… If the user types the name of the site without the www. in front (say they type site.com and hit enter)… there is no redirect automatically enabled and the user gets an “unsecure site” error message. I believe this should be covered automatically by Figma and the automatic SSL… but until such time, I’m wondering if there are DNS settings I need to add to cover this issue.Thanks,

I just setup my first site in figma sites. I’m using godaddy for registrar and DNS. www.site_name.com works perfectlyhttps://site_name.com does not direct to the figma siteHow do I set things up so that both the www and not-www point to figma?

A pop-up keeps displaying every few seconds when I use Figma (screenshot attached). The message reads "You are attempting to access support-chat.figma.com/support_chat_frame.html site... Attempts to access barred sites are recorded. Attempted use for non-business reasons may invoke disciplinary action."

Hello everyone, I’ve created icons, all vector layers with the same name, and every icon has a variant of sizes - small (16px) medium (24)and large (32). They also have round/sharp Boolean property. I’ve created buttons, also with size variants with matching names and sizes. There’s also variant for only label, only icon, left icon and right icon. There’s also instance swap for every icon size. I also have the icon as nested instance. So I take an instance of the button and I change its size, then I change the icon - lets say from “search” to “plus” for example - but if I want to change the size of the button, the instance swap return to its default icon instance. What should I do, or what did I do wrong?

Just playing around with Figma sites on my mac and I noticed the the preview functionality tends to hang while it’s loading or it just loads a white screen. It’s pretty common occurance and reloading the project and restarting Figma doesn’t seem to fix the problem. My work around is that I found the Figma Site web app in the browser doesn’t seem to have this same caching issue. So at the moment I run Figma sites on the mac app to do all the design work but run the preview in the the browser app as it has no issues reloading the Site preview.Anyone else having similar issues running Figma Sites on the mac?

Hi, I’ve been trying to recreate a commercial tartan pattern for myself trough Figma, and though it looks almost okay, the spacing in between the horizontal lines below (created by a clipping layer) always seems to be uneven.The solid squares in the center look almost rectangular due to the clipping mask, the white squares in the corner end up being actually rectangular, despite all white borders being equally wide, and the spacing in the bottom white stripes are closer together in the middle. I know it must be caused by either ratios or my clipping layer, but I’m not sure which math is required to make a perfect square tile. Frame/tile size: 2250 pxPurple stripe: 306.8 px wideWhite stripe: 41.11 px wideClipping mask stripe: 10.2 px wide The entire pattern is created by making all vertical stripes first, then duplicating that layer and rotating it by 90 degrees, and then appying the striped clipping mask in between the vertical and horizontal layers The reason I’m using Figma is becaus
