Query on Figma Make AI Credit Limit

Hi Team,

I have been using Figma Make AI to create a web application. After running a few prompts, I received a message that I’ve reached the credit limit.

Could you please guide me on:

  • How I can check my current AI credit balance/usage?

  • Whether there is an option to increase or purchase additional credits?

  • If there’s any plan that allows unlimited prompts, since I need to create multiple screens and the current limit is restrictive.

Just to add a bit more to ​@OopsVector‘s helpful reply (thanks!).

 

If you're seeing an in-app message that you've reached your AI credit limit, along with a reset date, that usually means you're on the Starter plan or using a non-Full seat.

At the moment, there's no way to view your exact AI credit usage beyond that message. That said, we’ve put together some best practices for Figma Make, designed to help you get the most out of each prompt. When your limit refreshes, feel free to try them out.

 

As ​@OopsVector  mentioned, Full seat users have higher credit limits depending on the plan.
The good news is that we're planning to offer the ability to purchase additional AI credits later this year. Until then, limits for Full seats are not being strictly enforced.

To answer your questions/comments:

 

  • How I can check my current AI credit balance/usage?

    • I don’t believe there is any current way other than a notification through the product while your using it, like the one you received.

 

  • Whether there is an option to increase or purchase additional credits?

    • Currently it is just through upgrading your plan, here is what it says on the, “How AI Credits Work” page in the Figma Help Section: “Later in 2025, we’re planning to introduce the ability to purchase additional AI credits for power users. Until then, we won’t be strictly enforcing credit limits for Full seats; credit limits for users with View, Collab, and Dev seats will be enforced daily as well as monthly.”

 

  • If there’s any plan that allows unlimited prompts, since I need to create multiple screens and the current limit is restrictive.

    • From what I understand a full-seat on any of the below plans, at the time of writing this, won’t have enforced credit limits.

    • Full seat AI credits:

      Professional plan Organization plan Enterprise plan

      3,000 credits per month

      About 50-70 Make prompts based on current estimates

      3,500 credits per month

      About 60-80 Make prompts based on current estimates

      4,250 credits per month

      About 80-100 Make prompts based on current estimates

Hi there! I logged in today and saw “You’ve reached your current limit. Your credits will reset on September 17, 2025.”

I’m on a Full Seat plan so curious if anything has changed since your reply ​@Junko3 ?

I’ve hit this limit as well and I have 19 days until it resets. Today is Sept 9 and I get more credits on the 28th. I am in the middle of something very important and I need more credits. I am on a full seat plan FYI. How can I get this done now?

Same here. Full seat plan and I’m working on a prototype that will be shown to important stakeholders tomorrow and I still need to work on it. Yikes!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to have to take the code and work from somewhere else. This is not a good implementation / roll out @ figma. I have grown to like Figma Make but this is something that will force me to find another solution in the meantime and will mean that you might lose me as a customer because I am forced to go to another solution.

Same here. I'm on full seat and got blocked with the restriction. Working on a project that needs to be presented this week so I'm forced to switch to different solution to finish this project. Luckily I didn't waste too much time on this and still have time to redo everything. Still sucks that Figma is giving fake information about not restricting the limits.

Likewise I have a full seat, on the Pro plan - and have hit the credit limit after only 6 prompts

Same problem here with an imminent deadline! On a full seat. This needs fixing immediately. I understand the need to pay, but to do this with no warning and no option to purchase credits is incredibly poor and goes against this previous information...

We will tell all our friends and investors to withdraw their investments to figma if this is not resolved, also sell all your stocks of Figma if this is not resolved.

I just paid for my monthly Pro plan and after 20 minutes of work, I already got a message that my credits will be renewed on October 8th. This is unacceptable; it's not possible to work this way. Please fix this because we'll stop paying everyone instantly.

Same here, full seat yearly plan - signed up today, ran a handful of make prompts and being told my limit has expired.

 

Has to be a bug in the billing system!!

 

PLEASE RESOLVE ASAP!

Same here. We’re in the middle of working on our Figma Make project for the Make-a-thon and can’t finish our submission because of this message: “You’ve reached your current limit. Your credits will reset on October 1.”

Same here! Full seat, org plan… “You have reach your current limit” On the very same day they had the walkthrough/webinar with Figma Make. Not good! I had just managed to get the designers interested and starting to use it.

Figma please fix it asap. I am working on a client project and tomorrow is the presentation and out of the sudden you enforce the credits without any possibility to pay for more. Please please remove the limit or give options!
