Im trying to import my designs into Principle for mac, but for some reason it wont connect to Figma. It just hangs on “Getting documents” and then it says it couldn't reach Figma.It worked just fine earlier today. but suddenly stopped working this evening.Anybody else experiencing this?  

 I’m hoping someone can clarify this for me. I used to copy objects from Adobe Illustrator with Cmd +C and paste them into Figma with Cmd +V, and they would arrive as editable vectors. I’m absolutely certain this worked before. Lately, though, every paste comes in as a flattened image instead of vectors. Nothing in my workflow has changed, so I’m starting to wonder if I’m losing my mind! Has Figma (or Illustrator) changed something recently? Is there a setting or workaround I’m missing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello Figma Team, I’m a postgraduate design student at Monash University, and I’ve been trying to access Figma’s Education Program for several weeks now. Unfortunately, what should be a simple verification process has turned into a loop of rejections, blocked attempts, and system errors — all thanks to SheerID. Here’s what happened: I submitted my government-issued ID (first a South Australia Age Card, then my passport), as requested. The photos were clear, glare-free, and unedited — I followed every requirement listed. As a result, I received “We were unable to confirm your identity”, with no explanation given. Even more frustratingly, I was never given a chance to upload my student ID or proof of enrolment — the verification flow simply didn’t include that step. Eventually, I was locked out entirely with a “Verification Limit Exceeded” screen, despite doing everything by the book. After several attempts to verify my account on SheerID, I received a “We're unable to verify you using the information submitted. Please check your information for accuracy, and only use your own mobile device or computer.” error message.I’ve been emailing to SheerID and figma edu with no reply. Since all current educational users must re-verify their status before September 29, 2025, this has become an urgent issue in my classes. Any help, guidance, or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated. 

I’ve had a very confusing week trying to connect components with my team. I’ve been connecting React components, another engineer has been connecting Compose components. I was getting accurate results from the MCP, the other engineer was always only getting HTML/CSS. When I tried a component he connected, I was getting correct Compose code returned. Everyone was confused. Until today… We realized that I was using an older version of the MCP and `get_code` tool, whereas he was using a newer version and `get_design_context` tool. I just connected to the remote MCP which no longer has `get_code` and only has `get_design_context`, and now I’m getting the same results. We’re wondering if there is a bug in `get_design_context`? Can we get the same functionality as the old `get_code`? Thanks!!!

Since the last update, it’s impossible to copy and paste the image fill, into another component.I’m working with Auto Layout and I used to be able to select the fill > copy this > open another component > select the fill > paste.This doesn’t work anymore. It’s a feature I use all the time. Does anybody else experience this?

I’ve tried many times to verify my student status, but it didn’t work. I received an email from SheerID asking me to “finish everything,” but when I click the button, it says: “This verification has expired. Please submit a new verification.” When I try to verify again, it says I’ve exceeded the limit.I thinking it’s because I clicked the link only a few days later and the time expired.

Another day, another bug in Figma! 20 billion well spent adobe…Now my component’s which are in linked library’s are not updating correctly. I literally have to go into each component, make a edit by selecting another component state, and then Figma will pop up saying theres an update for this component - i select update ALL as i usually do, but its only updating the selected instance of the component. all other versions of the same component in the same page are not being update until I select them and do the same thing! what is this? what am i paying for? Frustration? a 2gb limit which make creating even a simple flow almost impossible? the limits of this thing are becoming as increasingly problematic as the bugs. Please fix it, also stop double charging for edits, when they are different teams, one person can only make one set of edits at one given time! criminal

I am a student and we have a free student plan from our school. I am trying to verify my student plan but it says that I have exceeded the verification limit or I have already activated it. Although the role on my profile is set to Education > Student but when I join on Edu Teams, it wants me to verify my status and I can’t verify it because it won’t let me. I have already contacted SheerID but they take way too long on responding.

But that topic has been closed for reply.This is the latest version of my ticker component, with variant:- Info- Success- Warning- Error- Waiting- TipBut if I copy that component (as intance) to other page, like this: As you can see in the picture above, the update icon in the top right corner is active (blue), which shouldn’t be. Because the instance has just been newly copied here using the latest instance directly from the source.If I open the “Variant” options, it still correctly shows the variant list which is the latest variant list:But if I update the component by clicking the update icon, it reverts to old version (as depicted in screenshot below) where:- There was no “Tip” variant that should exist in the latet version- There was “Awaiting Review” variant, which has been removed in the latest version- There was “Multiple Awaiting Reviews” variant, which has been removed in the latest version​​​ I have followed the instruction here to clear

I got a strange problem on my iMac M1 with Safari on macOS Tahoe.Figma is somehow stuck in loadingstate - it seems there is a problem with the web sockets. The strange thing is, on my M4 MacBook Air it's working. If I clear Website Data it starts working, but doesn't keep on working. 

Icon stroke width behaves as expected inside the button (it scales with the canvas). However, as soon as it’s turned into a component and the icon is swapped, the stroke resets to a default value of 2px. The frame size behaves as expected. Icon is resized using scale tool. Problem appears both ways: – creating button from scratch (works), make is a component (does not work). – creating button component with same anatomy from scratch (does not work). Detach the same component (works). Creating different sizes with variants for each icon is not an option due to the extensive icon library. Is this a bug, or what could be causing this issue?

First of all — huge fan of Figma Make. It’s an amazing product, our whole studio’s been obsessed with it since day one. But right now we’ve hit a major roadblock that completely stopped our workflow 😬The issue is with the “Import from Figma” feature in Figma Make simply doesn’t work.When you click the button — absolutely nothing happens (no error, message no loading, no import)— tested it on several different accounts — restarted and reinstalled the app — tried using it via browser and in new files it’s literally blocking our entire studio’s workflow. The designs within Figma are bright and pop, but after converting to HTML and using the same hex codes they look faded and washed out. Is there a workaround? Is this related to color profiles? Left shows Figma, right shows HTML. Note the background colours and fonts don’t look as bright Help!! Just looking for the web to pop like the figma designs =)

as title, I’m trying to use my published library in a Figma Make project, but the export for Figma Make dialog does not pop up. Also when I click Import From Figma in Make, it does nothing. Tried closing the app and reopen but still the same. I’m on a pro education plan. Is this feature available for me? thank you

Why has my Figma desktop app suddenly stopped working over the past week? I opened the app one morning and to my surprise, the files kept on loading and loading. Even Figma home doesn’t load. Not a single file is loading and once I shift to Figma home, I am unable to shift back to my files. Attaching screenshots for reference. It works on the browser but the app isn’t functioning at all. Please help.

I’ve tried several of the remedies suggested in a previous post. But it seems like a compatibility issue between the desktop app and the updated display drivers.

This just started today. After any prompt I make in apparently any existing Figma Make file I have, I’m getting a “something went wrong error”.After the prompt, the system does the work. But as it is working and describing what it is doing, after maybe 20 seconds, I get the error message.This happens both in the browser and in the desktop app.I’m using a Mac, and I’ve gone through the troubleshooting checklist. 

I’ve run into a strange issue in Figma. Every time I launch the app and click on a text layer, it seems to “remember” that font’s predefined weights. Then, when I try to edit another text with a different font, the weight options from the first font are still displayed. If I try to change the weight, nothing happens.For instance, if I open Figma, select a text with the SF Pro font, and then create a new text layer using Comic Sans, the weight list still shows SF Pro’s options. Has anyone experienced something like this? And if so, is there any known fix?FYI, I’ve already tried reinstalling Figma, editing in the web version, and working in a different draft but the problem still remains. Moreover, it looks like all my drafts and projects were affected, so creating a new draft and trying it there doesn’t help either. 

Hello! A client granted me a full seat, which I can also see stated next to the workspace name. But inside the files I still see the “Ask to edit” component. The client checked the settings ion their side and say that everything is set as for other active designers. But I still see either the “view-only” component or “ask to edit” one where I did not yet ask for permission. I have no clue where the problem lies. Anyone has a clue? 

I tried to apply for the Figma Student Education Plan using the SheerID verification form. However, during the process, I faced an error several times. After multiple attempts, it now shows: “Verification limit exceeded. We're glad you're enthusiastic, but it looks like you've already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer.” It has been more than three days, but I’m still unable to verify or reapply. Hi everyone,I used to copy an image (Ctrl+C from browser or local folder) and then paste it (Ctrl+V) directly into an image component in Figma - like for cards or avatar images - and it would automatically replace the image.But recently, this no longer works. When I try pasting, nothing happens. Now Figma only shows options like “Upload from computer” or “Make an image” (screenshot attached).I’m wondering: is this a recent change or bug in Figma?Is there still a way to paste an image directly into a component without having to upload it manually?Thanks in advance!

After running a few prompts, I received a message that I’ve reached the credit limit.Could you please guide me on: How I can check my current AI credit balance/usage? Whether there is an option to increase or purchase additional credits? If there’s any plan that allows unlimited prompts, since I need to create multiple screens and the current limit is restrictive.
