I love the vertical trim option that just came out. But as of now it’s not supported by any browsers. So if you enable this feature the developer you hand off too will not be able to use vertical trimming, therefore your all the designs will be off due to the larger line heights that the vertical trim was subtracting. So while this is a great idea, if you can’t actually use it on the web yet, you’re just making more work for yourself and your developer. Am I missing something here?
Hello I’m using a professional plan on Figma I’ve enabled the AI feature in the settings, but it doesn’t show up in the toolbar. Could this be a bug, or is there a way to make it appear?
I was wondering if there is any way to drag and drop and image from your desktop in a FigJam so it swaps the image out, rather than stacking on top. Any help is appreciated!

I have had access to the AI design tool for awhile now, but this morning when I loged on to create another project, the AI design tool has been removed? Can someone help me find it or get it back. We had created an amazing workflow for our team and this has slowed us down tremendiously.
Is there any way to break all connections but leave my account intact? It has some pretty important stuff in it and there’s no way i can get in touch with the people in charge of permissions. Or am I screwed? I can’t even log in. Thanks

Hi there. I’m a UX and design system consultant. I'm currently in between contracts and I'm wanting to put my time to good use by experimenting with plugins and Code Connect, but have just realised that in order to use Code Connect you have to be on an Organisation plan. As a consultant (and the only one in my business), I really don't want to have to pay for 3 seats (which is the minimum for an organisation license). I’m being quoted over £1,000 per year, which I simply can’t consider. Is there anyone I can talk to about this? I'm used to working with organisations and being on their Figma plans for this type of work, but as I'm between contracts, I'm a bit stuck. Thanks in advance.
See title; that’s the gist of my question. Further elaborated: When zooming @100% it’s not actually accurate with what I see on my screen. Rather, setting zoom @83% is actually closer what’s represented to reality (e.g., on a browser!). See image attached where I’ve proved this strange bug. This question has already been asked, but there isn’t a definitive answer. Curious to know how people deal with this.
Is anyone else experiencing this? no matter what is tried.Figma crashes only by accessing the plugin. Not even interacting with it.
I’ve just seen that I can’t get back to the instance I was just working on by clicking on the “Return to Instance” button.
Our SAML Azure certificate is about to expire. When I generate a new certificate, I am unable to update it in Figma through the settings. As a result, when I activate the new certificate and attempt to log in using SSO, I encounter an error indicating a mismatch between the certificate in the IdP and Figma.
Occasionally I’ll see this cloud icon at top right, warning me that my file isn’t saving. What’s interesting is that I always have several files open, and while sometimes more than one file will show this icon it’s never every file. It’s not the whole app, it’s just file to file. Some files are saving, some aren’t, and I can’t figure out what to do about it. Obviously it’s disconcerting to work on something that I know isn’t saving - what can I do about it? -I’m marking this as solved because people need to see Mike’s post, but “solved” is very much in quotes because the fix is a hack - it’s a workaround for a problem Figma hasn’t fixed yet.
So, basically I am making an OTT app design, where the elements are supposed to move horizontally, but after putting them in auto layout, setting their frame to same as that of og frame, and doing everything, im getting this weird blank spaces on both sides, tried padding aswell. Please help, searched all over the net cant find the answer.Figma – 8 Apr 24
Please tell what will happen to the pages, if, having a Professional plan subscription, I create for example 30 pages inside one file. And will have only one file inside my only one project in the team. By canceling the subscription, will I be able to edit all 30 pages or not?Thanks to everyone who knows the answer and could share the info!
Just made an account, cannot find any option for old UI. I really do not like this floating menu on the bottom, and I know it wasn’t like so in older UI. I tried the help button only to see nothing helpful.
After the last update of the desktop version of movies for Windows, I cannot log in to the account in the application. When I launch the application, this window is displayed: After clicking on the "Login with browser" button, this window appears:And nothing else happens. In other words, the authorization window does not open in the browser. I have already tried logging into the company in the browser and opening the project in the application from there, but it doesn't work and the application opens a window for me where it asks me to log in through the browser. How can this problem be solved?Browser: opera. Latest browser version
I thought it was just my bluetooth keyboard glitching out, but cmd + z is not undoing any action, nor is going to the Edit menu > Undo. Has anyone encountered this issue before? And if so, how did you resolve it?

I am following the Figma beginners tutorial and when I select a group within my design, and attempt to convert it to a frame, some of the material from the group does not seem to render into the frame. In particular, it seems to cut off some of the material from the borders.I’m following the steps outlined in the tutorial - create a group, select the group, use the drop down menu on the right to change “group” to “frame”.
I have a big file (130K layers) and recently I add the new variables for text styles and boy the file running very slow, I can’t edit nothing, not mentioning play with the prototype. It has nothing to do with my PC or memory usage (14%). I had to remove the variables for text styles to make the file run faster and it works. This new feature is great but until this performance issue will not be resolved I will not add variables for text styles to my projects.
Hello Team,I’m trying to retrieve an image from Figma files using the Figma REST API endpoint. I’m currently using the GET Image API - https://www.figma.com/developers/api#get-images-endpoint to obtain the image URL.With this API, I’m successfully able to retrieve an image URL that remains valid for 30 days.I have a couple of questions regarding this: The image URL obtained through this API is public, and I can access the image without requiring any authentication or tokens. Is there a way to enforce authentication for accessing the image? The image URL is valid for 30 days. Is it possible to modify the expiration timestamp? Also, is there any usage limit on using REST API? Looking forward to your insights.Thank you!
