Urgent Request to Restore a Deleted File

Dear Figma Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I’m writing to request your kind assistance in restoring one of my project files that was deleted after my Figma Education Plan expired. I was the owner of the file, and I wasn’t aware it would be removed once the plan ended.

Worth knowing: An Education plan expiring on its own doesn't delete files — it downgrades the team and can lock editing access, but files typically remain in place rather than being removed. The team will check your account and confirm what actually happened to the file. If it turns out it was permanently deleted, that action can't be reversed — more on how deletion and recovery work here: Delete and restore files.

Thank you for linking my issue to ticket #1964736. I really appreciate the quick response and the reassurance regarding how the Education plan works.

I wanted to gently follow up on this as the "PORTFOLIO PROJECTS" file is incredibly important to my current ongoing work, and losing access to it has completely stalled my progress. Because of this, the matter is highly urgent for me.

Could you please help me check the backend status of this file as soon as possible to see if it can be restored or if there is any way I can retrieve its content?
