Hello,I’m having an issue with Dev Mode not working, even though I’m on a Professional plan and all settings, permissions, and seat assumptions appear to be correct.I already contacted Figma Support 3 times directly through Figma. After a few hours, I only received an automated email, but no ticket number. I replied to that email and have still received no response.Because I was unsure whether a seat had actually been assigned, I briefly tested with my second private email address to see whether I could assign a seat there if none was active. Instead of solving the problem, Figma immediately created a second license/seat, while Dev Mode still does not work.So at the moment I have: a Professional plan Dev Mode still unavailable a possible seat / licensing issue no useful response from support and now an extra license that may have been created unintentionally Could someone please: check whether there is already a support case under my account email, help verify whether my seat

There used to be hovers in the variables window where you could check if the sematic you used is correct. For instance: is [scale100] 4px or 8px?But now there is no more hover in the variables window, where did it go? It wasn’t perfect but better than having to switch to the primitives set every time you’re not sure which token to use...
I’m having some problems with Figma slots as it seems to not fully support nested component Boolean properties.The situation is that I have componentA with slot and componentB with slot, then nest componentA instance inside componentB’s slot. The issues happen when I try to work with the elements inside the slot of componentA instance. The layer panel looks like below. Here are the issues:Boolean property doesn’t support all elements inside instance slots. Only the component instances support it, the texts & frame don’t. Value of boolean properties doesn’t effect the elements. E.g. when the value is false, the element is not hidden. Also, detaching property from the elements doesn’t work. Boolean properties are listed for Component B but say they’re not used within. However, deleting the properties will also detach them from the elements. This means that boolean properties for the elements are recognized by the main component, just not correctly. The instances of Component B will
Hi! I’m having an issue where when I select multiple separate frames at the same time and export them together (not grouped, each frame has clip content selected) some of the frames will be missing content that is inside of them. For example the first frame will be fine, but the second frame will be missing one image even though it is inside the frame layer I exported. If I export each frame one at a time, this is not happening. I’m not sure what my issue is and have reinstalled figma. I do this many times a day for work and it has just become a problem for me. It is happening in the desktop app and browser.

We definitely need rollover on credits, because what if we keep on paying for the month and not use equal to 50% due to other commitments? It just disappears.. I think it’ll be fair if unused credits roll over .. Way way better
I rely heavily on shortcuts for everything in Figma, but I’ve noticed a recurring issue. When I accidentally press Cmd + B(or cmd + I, cmd + U) while a Frame or Section is selected, it triggers bulk-formatting that turns all nested text bold.Unfortunately, this can't be reversed by pressing the shortcut again (except for cmd + U). If the mistake isn't caught immediately, undoing it with Cmd + Z becomes difficult after further edits. Is it a bug? or some logic behind it that I don’t know.

Hi -I ordered a full seat Professional plan and when I try to upload MP4 files into the Add Images and Files into the prompt, I get the Open window with Custom Files as the file type. This does not show the MP4s I have on my machine. When I change to All Files and then click on the MP4 to open, I get an error “Can’t upload some file types.” The Learn More button is not helpful. The video size is way under the 200MB limit and I can verify that this works (the exact same video files) for another connected account using the organization plan. So, I know that this is a problem with the Professional account. I have verified this on two separate Professional accounts. This functionality was promised in Professional mode and it is COMPLETELY blocking a project.

After updating Claude Desktop to the latest version (April 14, 2026), the Figma MCP extension (v1.0.4) starts successfully but never responds to tool calls. The server initializes, lists tools, and then times out on every subsequent request. The root cause, identified in the MCP logs, is a protocol version mismatch: Claude Desktop now negotiates 2025-11-25, while the Figma extension responds with 2025-06-18.MCP server logs✓ Server started and connected successfully✓ Client → initialize { protocolVersion: "2025-11-25" } ← Claude Desktop✓ Server → initialize { protocolVersion: "2025-06-18" } ← Figma extension✓ tools/list → OK (get_design_context, get_metadata, etc.)✗ Any tool call → no response / timeout after 4 min✗ Client transport closed (intentional shutdown)The pattern repeats on every session restart, reinstall of the extension, and reboot of Claude Desktop. There is currently no way to reassign an existing Slot property to a new or incorrectly assigned frame without fully destroying the component and losing all slot content in published instances.**Steps to reproduce the issue**1. Create a component set with a Slot property (e.g., "Slot ID3") assigned to a specific frame.2. Publish the library and use the component in multiple files, populating the slot with content.3. Later, need to reassign "Slot ID3" to a different frame within the same component (e.g., after restructuring the component layout).4. There is no "reassign" option. The only available path is: a. Select all affected frames → right-click → convert back to plain frames b. Assign a new Slot property c. Delete the old conflicting "Slot ID3" property5. Result: all instances that previously had content in "Slot ID3" lose that content permanently.**Expected behavior**Figma should allow designers to reassign an existing Slot property to a different frame within a component —

HiMy account ([redacted by forum moderator to remove PII]) still shows starter plan instead of the professional plan. I verified through sheer ID in which it was approve but still shows the account in starter plan. I tried to re verify but keeps says exceeded the limits for verification.
