The alert "Component removed from library"

The alert "Component removed from library" appears in some files for components that weren’t removed (and some parts of such components are not shown, such as text in the button). Or some conflicting things in files, but in the component in main library everything is correct and no such conflicts. Also some components inside other components just disappear. Why it happens?

Hi @Mariia Shkliaeva, thanks for reaching out!

I understand how this must be disrupting your workflow. Instances can sometimes end up partially synced, where the editor thinks the component has fewer layers or variants than it really does. The main library stays correct; it's the consuming file that's out of sync, which matches what you're seeing.

Two things to try in an affected file:

  1. Right-click on empty canvas and choose Repair component connections. This re-links instances to a complete copy of the main component and has resolved this before.
  2. If the components arrived via copy-paste rather than the Assets panel, reload both files, then re-insert one from the Assets panel to see if the alert persists.

To help us dig in, could you share:

  • Were the affected components inserted from the Assets panel, copy-pasted, or both?
  • Do any of the missing layers' names start with an underscore? Those aren't published to subscribed files and can trigger a similar-looking alert.

If the repair doesn't stick, let me know, I can help connect you with our support team to take a closer look.

Hello! Thanks for your reply :)

  1. “Right-click on empty canvas and choose Repair component connections” — I don’t have such option in the dropdown
  2. The component was copy-pasted from the main library, because it’s not shown in the Assets panel at all (despite the fact that the component is published and the library is added to the file). Most of all, there’s no updates regarding the components available on the page
  3. We don’t have layers' names starting with an underscore

Hi @Mariia Shkliaeva, Celyn here stepping in for @djv. Thanks for getting back to us and for sharing those additional details and screenshots.

Since the component is published but isn't appearing in the Assets panel, and you're also not seeing the Repair component connections option, I'd like our Support team to take a closer look at what's happening in the affected file.

I've gone ahead and created a support ticket for you. Your ticket number is #2082244.

To help with the investigation, could you please share both the affected file and the main library file with support-share@figma.com with Can View access, then reply directly to your support ticket with the links to both files?

Someone from the team will follow up with you directly through the ticket, so please keep an eye on your inbox. Thanks again for providing all of this context!

Thanks @Mariia Shkliaeva, I’ve already included the screenshots you shared here on your support ticket, so you’re all set on those.

The only additional information we need for now is the links to the affected file and the main library file. When you have a chance, please share both files with support-share@figma.com with Can View access, then reply directly to your ticket with the links.

Really appreciate your help with this!
