Hi Everyone, I am using Figma Rest API to update the variables on Figma File...  I came across a situation where I am unable to update the variable-description through the API.... For example,consider someone has edited the description on Figma file.. I want to keep the description as it is defined in tokens( I am using styled-dictionary), if I run the figma-api script, was expected to update the description as it is in tokens, but it is not working.. It is working w.r.t tokens values, but not the description..

When I use the new Position Sticky feature in Prototyping, the frame that sticks to the top always sits below the frames that scroll. This doesn’t make sense because the point of sticking a frame is so that it sits on top of all scrolling content. Do I have to re-order the layers somehow? Do I have to check an extra box to make the frame sit on top of all others? Thank you

When I Align horizontal centers + Align vertical centers 2 shapes together it is not centered at all. Is there something I can do to solve it ? I just started on Figma so I could miss something in the settings…Thank you to take time to reply. Regards.

We're encountering a challenge with accessing the context menu (right-click or control-click options) in the browser version of Figma on a Mac.Specifics:The context menu appears correctly in the Figma desktop app. It also functions as expected in other web browsing scenarios. However, when using Figma in a browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari), the context menu fails to appear.Question:Is this the intended behavior for the Figma browser version?If not, are there any settings or adjustments we can make to enable the context menu in the browser?

I'm experiencing the strangest issue… If anyone can help!I usually work with .SVG images, but today, for the first time, I noticed that all SVGs suddenly have a black background appearing in the design. However, when I use Present or Preview mode, everything looks fine.But when I export the design as .PNG or .JPG, the black background appears. If I export it as .SVG, it looks normal.Could the issue be related to my laptop's GPU, the images themselves, or Figma? Where is the problem coming from?I've tried multiple solutions, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have a fix for this? 🤔   4o

Hi everyone,I'm having an issue where I can't edit any Color Styles in Figma. I can create new styles and rename them, but the properties (like color and opacity) are disabled.It happens on every project, even in completely new files.Is anyone else experiencing this? Dear community, I'm creating a Figma PLUGIN solution that finds all component nodes and filter only those, whose color variable matches a user's input.  Usecase:Designer wants to find where is a specific color variable used within a library file. How it should work:User types in a plugin UI: “button/background/hover” Plugin search through all the component nodes. Plugin prints out all component nodes that have the typed variable in their color fills. Problem:Any component node I retrieve, there is no “boundVariable.fills” available to inspect, so that I cannot think of a proper way how to get to the fills variable. When I add a video to a prototype it remains playing in loop, after disabling “Autoplay” and “Loop”.Made tests in different pages, with different video assets, and also cleaned Figma’s cache.

Not sure what’s going on. I’ve already set up Instance Sap with icons in buttons and they work just fine. But now I am trying to make an avatar component with preset variants for different types of people, and an extra one that will be an Instance Swap. I set up a Component, “Custom Avatar Placeholder”, with an Image inside of it, to select for the Value of Instance Swap. Next to Properties in the right panel, I click the “+”. I Give the Component Porperty a Name of “Custom Photo”. I select the “Custom Avatar Placeholder” Component for the Value of the oOmponent Property. I click “Create property”. Now, under Properties, I see the “Custom Photo” property, but there is an alert icon across from that, and hovering over it shows “Not used within component”. Not sure what I’ve missed. Any Ideas? Thanks!

For some reason whenever I’m viewing my prototype, I’m seeing a white background over some parts of my designs. Not sure what’s the reason, but it’s consistent whether I’m viewing it on my desktop app or web app. I included an image of how it looks within the prototype view vs how it looks in the actual design.

Hello, so in my frame the news and the home buttons are in a fixed position. I want the cards to not overflow the fixed position when scrolling vertically, but when i scroll they appear in top of them how do i fix it

When selecting a parent frame, the option to set the border radius is not interactive. Additionally, when attempting to hover over the unlink text styles icon, it disappears, making the option non-interactive and preventing me from breaking the text styles. This appears to be a frustrating bug. However, I found a workaround, enabling "Property Labels" in the UI, which restores the functionality of these properties. Can we get this fixed soon?

Hey all, wondering how to solve this issue. We created prototypes to embed in our dev docs site, so there are multiple prototypes on a page and different pages. Every prototype has this cookie banner (highlighted in pink), even when I’ve already accepted it once. How can we remove this? Can it be shown only once? Thank you! Denise

For a few days now, all users from my company have been experiencing the error that previously created designs are displayed incorrectly. This is shown by the fact that elements are completely shifted and components appear destroyed (spacing is incorrect and elements are overlapped). As soon as I double-click on the element or component, everything straightens out again. But each user has to do this separately. And several times a day. Since then, this has had to be done several times a day and our developers can't even correct this in Dev Mode, for example. This makes it impossible to work at all.

why Figma’s Ai suddenly gone? I tried to restart app couple of times, but it didnt helpI really liked AI features, is there any way to get them back?

I’ve used multiple plugins where after you run it the first time, there comes an option on the right sidebar to rerun the plugin, but this time it runs with the previous settings, without launching the UI. How can I add that functionality in my plugin?
