I’m able to get an image with the image rest api (GET https://api.figma.com/v1/images/:key?ids=:node_id), but it doesn’t crop the result to the provided node id. Instead, it renders everything below the top layer the node is nested under.This is what I receive from the api.This is what I want from the api roughly. Is it possible to get the desired result from this api, or do I need to explore alternatives? The node ids I’m using are derived from the url after clicking on the node in the figma viewer (www.figma.com/design/{file_id}/{file_name}?node-id={node_id}).

When will the applications for the Figma affiliate program open again? I saw this program a few days ago, and it was accepting responses, but now it is not.

I was using Figma on Chrome when an error occurred, and the file didn’t save. Upon checking, I noticed that some file pages were deleted. I tried undoing the changes using Ctrl+Z, but it only worked up to a certain limit. Can you suggest a solution?

Seems like Figma on browser does not identify that I have the desktop app installed.

I alternately work on my laptop and my desktop computer. I worked with Figma on my laptop computer, and the ‘Inspect’ panel was showing. Now I installed Figma on my laptop computer, and I can access the project I was working on, but the ‘Inspect’ panel doesn’t show. I can use the ‘View’ menu to show both the ‘Design’ and the ‘Prototype’ panel, but not the ‘Inspect’ panel. What’s wrong?

How to download background image only, ignore/hide other components

Hi, I’m totally a new user of Figma. And now I’m studying an auto layout toping. And watching video I found out that there is a resizing botton on the screen in this video, but I don’t have it (my laptop have windows system).

Today we experienced a complete detachment of Figma links in Jira tasks. We believe it could be a culprit of Jira widget in Figma. Did anybody encountered the same thing? 

My employees have 2 accounts logged into figma. One is enterprise, the other is free. Is there an activity log that tracks whether the user has copied objects from a file in the enterprise account to the free one? 

Today I received a Figma project that contains a link to a phishing threat.The link was sent through a coworker's email, It seems like his account was compromised.The scammer linked a Figma project and emailed it to all his contacts, since we worked together I opened the figma project, and found another link inside of the figma project, that 2nd link contained a phising threat which my antivirus blocked.This made me think; is there a way to “report” figma projects that pose a security risk to the community? I couldn't find a button to “report project” or something similar. It would be helpful if once identified someone could take those Figma projects down. 

In our team we have a separate file for all text styles and variables. We made some additions to the file and need to publish new variables, but now we realize that 3 text styles were removed by mistake 2 months ago. Right now we have to uncheck all the removed styles when publishing, in order to not lose them in our working files. Restoring to the 2 months file version of course will give us back the 3 removed styles, but we will lose all the work done since then. Is there any way to restore these 3 text styles, while still having the current file version?

I’ve been using Crt+Cmd+{Arrow keys} to align objects left/right/top and bottom. For example Control+Command+Left arrow key to Align Left and Control+Commend+Down Arrow key to align to BottomThese were additional shortcuts along with Alt+{A/W/S/D}. I think after last figma update the additional Align left and Align right shortcuts (CTR+CMD+Left/right arrow keys) are not working. So. when I press Ctr+CMD+Arrow Left to Align Left, The object(s) resizes. (meaning it ignores the Ctrl key and just does CMD arrows which is resizing shortcut)However the Align Top and Bottom however works fine.(i.e. Ctr+Cmd+Top/Bottom aligns to Top and Bottom respectively)[I am on Figma Desktop App version 124.6.5  and MacOS version 12.7.6 ]Its very frustrating for me personally for me because I’ve been aligning things this way for years and this was the top if not the only reason to use desktop app and after this feature broke, I haven’t been able to figure out a workaround so far...I tried App keyboard short

It’s been few weeks since AI feature started rolling out but I still don’t see it. Is there anything I should do to activate it?

as Figma is becoming our single source for design - we are now using it for doing Power point presentations from Figma - the problem is it’s still impossible to export directly to slides without a a pluggin like pitch deck - i think it’s time to have your team have a simple export button to google slides - and also an imports slides option - this would give us the ability to work with our clients that requirer a standard PPT/ Slides presentation huge demand.

Dear Figma Support Team,I'm experiencing slow performance with the Figma Desktop App on my MacBook Pro (2019, Intel UHD Graphics 630 & AMD Radeon Pro 5300M, MacOS 13.7.1). File loading often takes up to 5 minutes, causing system-wide lag. I've tried the official troubleshooting methods, including clearing the cache, but the issue persists.I have disabled the "Automatic graphics switching" option in the system settings to ensure the dedicated GPU is used. But I noticed the integrated GPU is at near 100% usage during loading, while the discrete GPU remains inactive.Thank you for your assistance.Best regards

Hello, I'm a beginner in Figma, and I have a couple of questions that might seem simple, but I need some help:How can I display the top toolbar? I can't find the "Create Multiple Components" option in other toolbars or windows. I can’t switch between components by their names.I've attached two pictures: the first is my Figma workspace, and the second is from the lecture I'm studying. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi 👋 Using variables for setting fonts are cool and helps our design system a lot. But is there any way to set bound variables for text properties via Plugin API? It’s complex read-only property and simple setBoundVariable() does not work. We don’t have known methods like setBoundVariableForFont(). Can we wait for Plugin API to support typography variables any time soon? List of properties I can’t manage to set: fontFamily, letterSpacing, fontSize, paragraphSpacing, paragraphIndent, fontWeight, lineHeight and unexpectedly stroke for sections 😀

Hi community, this is my first topic. I often use Auto Layout with components. These components have variants that change dimension upon an interaction, such as clicking on an element in order to expand it into a larger element. Generally this just works. However, when I nest components with Auto Layout within a parent component, the Auto Layout spacing no longer responds to changed dimensions that result from the child component interactions, and the child components in the Auto Layout overlap with one another. Is this a limitation of Figma, or is there a way to make this work? Thank you for your time!

Hey Guys, I’m quite new to figma (about a week in)As you can see in the video, I’m presenting the hovering smart animation for my google button, how can i make it so that when it animates to the bigger version of itself, it animates in a centered manner if that makes sense. Hello, for me it’s seems like a bug, but maybe I’m doing something wrong?I’m choosing few elements so I can move them together inside the grid,however, sometimes like in this case, these elements gets duplicated,however all I did was move them around, I did not copied them. Thanks!   

I have created a widget using cursor, how can I import in figma file?

For some reason after the latest update Figma mouse wheel scroll up/down is not working properly. Let me describe the problem I’m having. When I used the mouse scroll wheel (scrolling up and down) before the latest update, it was just scrolling up/down. Now, sometimes instead of scrolling up and down its zooming in and out. I’m using Macbook Pro Max M1 2021. Please, let me guys know if you have similar issue or its just me. Maybe its related to the mouse firmware update or something or its a bug I’m not really sure. Thank you!
