It was working, now isn’t…making it hard to progress this workflow chart… Normally when you click on the “square” it gives you a set of dots around it to automatically create teh next item in the flow…randomly those dots seem to stop working, and closing the app and starting again does not seem to bring it back. Any clues?

Is there documentation on how to drag and resize the plugin UI window, like Figma Tokens does it?

Hi team, I’m desperate to create an image effect that looks similar to the following image: Whilst I’ve seen many help articles and video that show how you can crop an image to a shape and how to include an image in a shape, the representation in the above link only crops the image in certain sections. Despite my verification, I am unable to activate my AI plugin and the profile keeps showing that I am in a Starter Plan despite applying for an educational plan. When I complete the upgrade plan an error pops up showing that my invoice cannot be fetched right now. Can you please assist as my students are unable to leverage the tools and features in my project team.

In case we provide code during oauth2 so that we can interact with rest api, we can get an access token and its fine. When we want to refresh this token, endpoint replies with 400 telling that code is missing although I don’t see it being expected in authorization params. Any help is appreciated.

I’ve been watching a lot of tutorials to fully grasp Fill / Hug / Fixed for cards and multiple elements in one group. When I’m building the elements separately, they seem to behave find and responsive as I’ve intended, however they start breaking down as the group gets bigger, and I’m sure I’m setting something wrong… just don’t know exactly what For example, in this Figma file there’s a card design I’m struggling with. I want to achieve what’s on the “mobile design” frame without adjusting anything but simply shrinking the container down, but I can never seem to be able to achieve it 😦 Please help me and let me know what I’m doing wrong!

I must be missing something obvious. I have created a triangle (using polygon tool) and it’s not centered in its frame. I cannot find which setting to use to center it and it’s messing up my auto-layouts… In the image above I would like it to be vertically centered instead of laying on the bottom border of the frame.

Suppose the Figma project admin (the designer) shared access to her project with three people (the project customer, the developer, and the business consultant). In that case, if the developer wants dev mode, can the designer only buy the dev mode seat for him without buying the dev mode seat for all the people she shared access to the project with? I mean, 12$ is better than 48$/month, isn’t it? Thanks!

I’ve discovered that if you create collections and up to 40 modes in a Figma Enterprise account, you can still use these modes in a free account (e.g., an agency account) even if the components were created in the enterprise account. I haven’t upgraded to enterprise yet, but I’ve tested this with the 4 modes available in the Pro tier, and it works. My question is: if I upgrade to enterprise and create more than 4 modes, will I still be able to use all 40 modes in a free account, even if I can’t create them there? Has anyone tried this yet? Edit: You’re copying the component from the enterprise file into the free file.

I’d love to be able to select 5 text fields and update them all to the same thing, without clicking into them individually. This is something that chews up a lot of my time when it comes to product or copy teams sending text updates.

A colleague of mine seems to have posted a lot of code into FigJam by copying from a Figma file (copy as code) and the file crashed. When trying to enter recovery mode it just tries to load but them gets stuck on loop and never fully loads so I can’t view version history. Anyone had this problem?

Greetings from a newbie! I cannot get a call to Figma.getNodeByIdAsync() to work. Could anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong? I have searched this forum and referred to a sample plugin go-to that uses this function, but I am still stuck. Below is my simplified code just for checking this functionality. When I run it as part of the plugin, console logs #1 and #2 are generated but not #3, and the console returns to the ‘>’ prompt. Thank you!

I’m following along with the variant video, and I have made a basic component, but the “Variants” option is not available in my properties panel for some reason. My Figma is up to date (124.2.9). Do I need to do something to get it to show?

EDIT 2: on august 19, the problem still occurs EDIT: After updating Chrome problem seems to be resolved. Working with the browser app for few hours now and everything works fine. Since lately (3 days now) I experience shortcuts conflict when using Figma on Chrome. Using shortcuts like: cmd + shift + g; cmd + d; cmd + shift + h trigger Chrome actions instead of Figma actions, but only when my cursor is in the context of a sidebar, e.g. after expanding layer’s content and trying to expose a hidden layer found inside. This is HUUUGE problem since there is no other (simple) way to select a hidden layer without using the context of sidebar tree view. I havent experienced problems of this kind before and now its ruining my productivity. Please, help! I use Chrome and Mac Sonoma (14.4.1) on Macbook pro M1

Hello, I am encountering a difficulty that I had never encountered before the new version of Figma: I have a component (an image), which has 2 variants. It is integrated into another component which also has 2 variants (a default, and a rollhover). When I change my image (the variant), it cannot “keep the good variant” on the hover. I’ve never had this problem before. In image to explain better, sorry for my english 🙂 Here is my first component, a coin image, with 2 variant of it, one silver and one gold. Here is my second component, with my coin nested, it had also a variant, where i just move the coin position, and the relation between my two variant is just a simple hovering effect. If I try this, it works perfectly. But now if i change the nested component “coin” from silver to gold : it doesnt work anymore, because the over effect “load” my silver coin instead of the gold. I have never had this “bug” before. Any idea why the hover version doesn’t keep the gold coin

Hi community, i have a question regarding “selection colors”. Is it possible to access and change the colors of figma.currentPage.selection[0] in order to change all occasions of “color x” to “color y” with one change? So I don’t need to access every single child element and change its color there. Thanks in advance 🙂

Figma generated invoice for aug month with 4 seats but I want 2 seats only, is there a way I can decline this invoice and generate a new one with 2 seats? I have a frame with three identical symbols inside: As far as I can tell, all three layers qualify to be “matching” according to this article. However, when I press either the button at the top, or the shortcut, I get the message below: I pulled out this frame as an example, but I obviously have a larger design I’m working on where I would really benefit from being able to select all matching layers at once. I feel like this used to work but doesn’t anymore. What am I missing? I’m still on the old UI. Can’t really tell when I received the latest update…

I set the element width to fill in an automatic layout. When I change the direction of the auto layout, the element width becomes a fixed width. I have to set the width of the element again. I hope that switching the direction does not affect some of the settings of the original element, otherwise it will cause a series of extra work.

Hi team, I Darshan Hiranandani, need to update my payment information for our professional plan. Currently, a personal credit card is being used, and I would like to switch it to a company credit card. Specifically, I need to: Remove the personal credit card information from my account. Update the payment details with the new company credit card. Does anyone have suggestions or know the best way to make these changes?
