Smart animation not working properly - dissolves instead

I’ve watched a ton of tutorials and looks up different articles, videos, etc. I can’t figure out how to get my animation to smart animate, not just dissolve. The file names are the exact same in the different layers.

If anyone has any solution or advice, I would be very appreciative. Right now the trigger is on click as I try to figure out a solution.

Figma cannot smart animate objects that have used the Arc tool. You need to do it differently. See an example in the official playground file:

Hey, did you make sure to change ‘interaction details’ to ‘Smart Animate’?

It’s buried pretty deep under the ‘Prototype’ tab:

Yes, smart animate is selected.

How did you fix it? I have the same problem but can’t find the solution in the file that is linked.

If you’re trying to animate circles being stretched, you can use rectangle shapes with corner radii instead of circles shapes.

I've encountered similar challenges while working on digital comics interfaces.

Popular webtoon platforms like Webtoon, Tapas, Tappytoon, and Lezhin all implement scroll-based animations that require precise timing and element consistency.

These reading apps typically use vertical scrolling with in webtoons you can and carefully orchestrated reveals and transitions to enhance storytelling.

Feel free to share a screenshot if you'd like more specific assistance with your Figma prototype.
