Hi , Unable to view the “Change Variable Mode” icon in the layer panel after the creation of variable I am able to see the icon in Page level I am using Figma Professional licence Thanks in advance

I'm having a little problem making a sticky element so that it is at the bottom of the screen when scrolling until it reaches the end of the auto-layout it is in.I have this block diagram, and I'd like to get an effect where the green button is scrolled and pinned to the bottom of the screen until it reaches the end of the auto-layout (Section 2 in the picture) in which it is located.Anyone have any ideas on how to do this? I did the sticky at the top of the screen with no problem, but with the version at the bottom I have a little problem :) 

When I assign an action to a nested instance in a component which sets a variable it doesn’t seem to work. The component’s variant changes, but the variable is never changed. There are no warnings or errors. When assigning the same action to the outer component it does set the variables. An example:Figma – 26 Jun 23 This somehow feels related to the following limitation: Variables can only be applied to top-level instances, and are not available for nested variant instances. I cannot figure out what to do with the local font issue not showing up on figma. I downloaded the font figma agent for browser. I try this on both desktop app in macOS and browser and cannot get it to work. None of my local fonts work. Can anyone help me? Are local fonts now limited to paid versions of the app??

Hi everybody!I don’t know how to automatically (when the user is not on the Figma file board) load SVG.Specifically, it should look like this:1. Send a request with these svgs2. All these files should appear on the board as separate frames, each with its own content.There is no methods in docs that would allow me to manipulate the Figma document in the background  Thanks a lot!

I know this was an issue on the old Spectrum forum that doesn’t seem to have any ground here, and it still is an issue. See quick video with imported complex vectors and a simple heart made in Figma. Any idea when this bug will be addressed? Dropping it into Illustrator is not an appropriate solution.

Me and my team is facing this issue where in Figma prototype screens, the pop-out options which comes when clicking on interaction type selector remains narrow. I have noticed that the narrowness is not random but rather dependent on the size of the object being prototypes.Here is how it looks like:Figma Interaction doesn’t open the pop-out window to it’s full widthIs this a bug or a glitch?

Hello, I’m having trouble using the number vars for line and letter spacing. For some reason (why??) percentages are not supported. So i tried using the rem and em values from our codebase. But it seems thats not the right unit, because as I apply the variable i can see the text move slightly. Also, it seems number vars do not support 3 numbers after the decimal. Why??? Variables are definitely not ready to be out of beta. The UX of editing&applying them is also bad. Keep working on it please.

How can I set the prototype to display to anyone (without login) and display the file only to emails I invite?Is it possible?Thanks

I recently accidentally deleted a file from my Figma account. Since I am currently on the free plan, I understand that only users with a premium plan can request file recovery.I would like to know if upgrading to a premium plan now would allow me to recover the file that was permanently deleted before the upgrade. Could you please confirm if file recovery would still be possible after purchasing a premium plan?

Hello, I am designing a food delivery app. One of its functions is being able to click on the x on a restaurant card which causes that card to change into “restaurant x hidden. undo?”. I managed to do this, but now I’d like to be able to somehow make the name of each restaurant appear in that box. Is this possible? Thank you.

Hi, im trying to make a “smart component” which would auto resize based on the length of a text label, as well as resize other elements in the components. i can successfully create a component with a text label which would automatically resize the frame/component based the length of the text, aka how you would make a normal make a dynamic button component by styling the parent frame, but for flexibility reasons i need the background of the button to be a separate component, that i can change and the effect will take effect multiple places, but i can’t seem to make this work with the ‘vanilla’ version of Figma, and would therefore like to ask if anyone out there have suggestions on how to achieve this, perhaps another layout plugin to assist, could point to related topics (already googled without much success). i have added an illustration to help trying to explain what i am trying to achieve and how i currently have it set up in Figma. thanks in advance 🙂 //Mads

Can someone help?So I made a bottom Nav Bar and it is fixed/no scrolling. It has animation inside it. Whenever I scroll and change the button, let's say from home to profile, it first snaps to another place then come back to the bottom of the screen. Any help will be appreciated.Video of the problem

Hello ! I know that figma extension in VSCode is in beta, but when i installed the plugin in VSCode and then tried to click on the Log in button to login my Figma account, nothing happens. Does anybody else has the same issue ? Thanks ! Caroline

Has anyone else noticed an issue (glitch?) where layers are locking on their own, with an unremovable dot where the padlock icon appears when layers are locked? Clicking it just adds a padlock. A coworker and I are working on a deck together and just encountered this and don’t know how to resolve it so that it’s editable again.It’s the child-layer-locked-icon.We thought maybe it was a font issue but it’s happening on non font layers as well. Duplicating the content into a new slide is removing them, but it’s a long doc and we want to avoid this in the future.I did try to google for it/search for it here, and see some people who may be having the same issue, but no resolution. 

I just update my figma. And my navbar not showing. I can’t use multi tab and resizing the window. 

Hello. I am having this issue for a long time now. When I move the design into my clients Figma file almost all images disappear and I get this message “ Invalid image was removed”. And I am downloading images separately to place them in clients design file every time.

Hi, I chose the iPhone 14 Pro Max frame. However, when the prototype only shows a rectangle frame and not the iPhone design frame. Is something I’m doing wrong here?
