How can I give radius to the intersection of two shapes?

How can I add radius the red circled part? Like this:

Those are two different rectangles:

I pressed enter on the customized shape (left one) then used pen tool for customize it. But I don’t know how to giving radius that part.

Not in a place where I can make you a demo right now…

but consider using the pen tool to draw your shape instead of using two rectangles.

this way you can use the bend tool and edit each point and radius.
