Seems that with Figma’s MCP integration with Claude (via VSCode Chat) It is struggling to replace contents dynamically. is this a known limitation given the newness of slots? Actually, I'm realizing the real constraint in Figma's component model depends on whether the component uses defined component properties or slot-based children. For slot components, I need to navigate the instance tree correctly to modify the slot frame's children, but the approach differs based on how the component is structured.Looking at how the DetailsPage component is set up, it has named frames like "Heading", "Content", and "Aside" that act as slots, each with default content that gets replaced when properties are passed in. This means within an instance, I should be able to modify what's inside those slot frames by targeting them correctly.The key insight is that I don't need to detach the instance to customize it. 2 months ago I had submitted a Figma enquiry to your sales team about the features on ‘Figma for government’. I had used Figma in my previous team and wanted to use it to streamline design work for my new team. I had not received any notification or email to say that my enquiry had been received so I sent a follow up 3 weeks after that, following the same steps of submitting a ‘contact us’ form. Hi Figma Support team,I’m running into an issue with unwanted colours appearing in the Design-mode colour picker in Figma Slides, and I’m hoping to understand whether this is expected behaviour or a limitation.Summary of the issueEven after fully cleaning my Slides template so that every element uses only my defined template colour variables, the colour picker in Design mode still shows many extra custom colours that are not used anywhere in the file. These appear to be leftover colours that were automatically created when pasting designs from regular Figma Design files into a Slides file.What I’ve tried I replaced all existing colours with my new template colours I verified that none of the stray colours are used in any layer, component, or style. I also confirmed that this only affects Design mode, not Slides mode, where only the correct template variables appear. Hi there. Since this morning I've had a problem with font weights in Figma. When I edit the text in a layer, the weight changes on its own, but the weight shown in the right-hand panel (the specs) doesn't update to match. So the displayed weight and the actual rendered weight are out of sync.It started this morning with no changes on my end (no plugin updates, no font reinstalls that I'm aware of). Hello,I'm experiencing an issue with my Community resource, "Logoli - Create your own logo."The resource was successfully published and available in the Figma Community. After publishing, I made several small improvements to the file (fixes, documentation, and minor refinements) and each time I clicked Update so that the published version would stay up to date.After the last update, the resource unexpectedly changed to "Under Review" and is no longer published.I completely understand the review process, but I wanted to clarify that these were only incremental updates to an already published resource. Hi Figma team,I have a question about the difference between the Make Kit implementation that was presented during Schema 2025 and what is currently available.From the Schema presentation, it looked like the workflow was:Export an existing Figma library directly to Make. Make automatically converts the design system into React components and CSS. A Component Showcase is generated where you can browse all imported components and variants. You can open an individual component, view its generated code alongside a live preview, and use prompts to add interactivity (for example, changing the cursor on hover or creating animations). Prompts are scoped to the selected component.However, the current Make Kit implementation described in the documentation seems to focus on creating and configuring a Make Kit manually, rather than importing an existing design system and getting a generated React component library with a Component Showcase.Am I misunderstanding the feature, or has the implementati
Hello! I have a file where I keep all my CVs, I’m trying to copy an A4 frame to make a new version, but I keep getting the alert "You are not allowed to copy this file". I gave figma a break for about a week, but the same issue is still persisting. It’s my own file, so I’m not sure why it would suddenly lock me out like this. Any help would be appreciated! Update: it only does this on the web based browser version. The computer app is completely fine. The web based version also won’t let me export anything.

Apparently, I’m running an online contest and I relied on Figma Motion as the on-screen graphic. Now the way the animation works is that I tend to use preset animations (e.g. opacity, position). For example, a simple text would have an entrance and an exit animation, consist of Opacity + Position > wait > Opacity + Position. There are two Opacity to allow smooth entrance and exit. Now everything works fine, until one day when Figma Motion started to break down. Figma Motion only accept one opacity per element, according to my testing, and only if the animation start at 0s then it will work fine. Delaying the animation will result to the element being exposed before its initial animation. I will also attach a “before everything crashes” video and a “testing crashed” video. I appreciate your attention, and to hope this issue will be fixed asap.

Figma recently rolled out new updates; however, I have noticed that certain changes have negatively impacted the daily user experience.1 - The left sidebar can no longer be hidden or collapsed. This occupies unnecessary screen space, which significantly hinders the workflow.2 - The click-and-drag shortcut to hide multiple layers sequentially is no longer functioning. Previously, users could hide a layer, hold the click, and drag upwards to hide subsequent layers automatically. This feature appears to have been removed, forcing users to toggle visibility manually, layer by layer.Ultimately, these changes seem counterintuitive to a seamless user experience. Furthermore, community posts indicate that these updates have introduced additional widespread issues.
