EXTREMELY URGENT: Education Access Expires in Hours – Verification Limit Reset Required

Hello Figma Product Support,

I am urgently following up because my Figma Education access will expire in only a few hours, and this issue has still not been resolved.

To clarify, I am currently an eligible university student. The problem is NOT my eligibility.

I previously verified my Education status using my former university email address: (redacted by the moderator due to PII)

My university email account has since changed, so I deleted the Figma account associated with that email and now use my new university email address: (redacted by the moderator due to PII)

However, when I attempt to verify my Education status with my current university email, I receive a “Verification Limit Exceeded” error because the verification associated with my previous university email is still being counted.

SheerID has informed me that they cannot access or modify Figma accounts or systems and directed me to Figma for further assistance.

Therefore, what I urgently need is for Figma to reset/remove the verification limit associated with my previous account so that I can immediately complete verification with my current university email.

My Education team access expires in only a few hours. This team is actively being used for ongoing collaboration, so losing edit access would seriously disrupt our work.

I am not requesting an exception to Education eligibility. I am still an eligible student and simply need the previous verification limit cleared so I can verify my new university email.

Could you please escalate this case and reset my verification limit as soon as possible before my Education access expires?

This is extremely time-sensitive, and I would sincerely appreciate any immediate assistance.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Hyunyi Hwang

Hey @황현이 , Celine from the Figma Community Supoprt team here! Thanks for the detailed context, I can see this is time-sensitive and I'm sorry for the trouble.

Since SheerID has directed you back to Figma for this, the best next step is to reach out directly to our Education team who can look into the verification limit on their end.

I can confirm that you already have an ongoing case with he Education team (thanks for doing that)

    • What SheerID told you (you can forward their email too)
    • Your previous and current university email addresses

I’ve added a follow up note to your case to increase visibility, thansk for your patience while the team is reviewing it! 🙏

Update: Good news, the Figma Education team has replied to you! You should be able to apply again through figma.com/education/apply. Please ensure you only verify using your school issued email address (not gmail or a personal email). For the full details, please check directly your support case for guidance and context. I’ve gone ahead and close the thread here.
