Library without components (just variables) not visible, plus variable sets inside are not visible as well

Hello Figma folks!

We have a large design system, and a part of that design system is a separate detached library file that houses ONLY variables.

We have three variable collections: spacing (margins/paddings), border radius, many colour variables.

There are two obvious bugs:

First: a library that has no components will not be visible in many of Figma’s panes. In the example below, there is one more library added to this stack, but it’s not visible. I have to create one dummy component for the entire library to become visible.

This looks like an obvious bug. Libraries should be visible regardless of what they have inside of them. 

Second: when we do somehow manage to get this library visible, the number (#) variables in it are not usable by other Figma files. They simply cannot fetch/use them.

For example, this is what’s in the library file, you can clearly see Border Radius number values being defined:

However, any of the files that consume this library cannot utilise those numbers. You can see in below example that the rectangle is painted by one of the colour variables, however, corner radius input does not have the variable button, and right click on it does no allow for variable selection. It’s simply not visible. Same thing with various other number-based variables (margins, …)

Both of those seem like clear bugs: a library that has no components but has many variables is a VALID library and should be visible by the system, and number variable values should (of course) be usable by consumers of such library.
