 I’m hoping someone can clarify this for me. I used to copy objects from Adobe Illustrator with Cmd +C and paste them into Figma with Cmd +V, and they would arrive as editable vectors. I’m absolutely certain this worked before. Lately, though, every paste comes in as a flattened image instead of vectors. Nothing in my workflow has changed, so I’m starting to wonder if I’m losing my mind! Has Figma (or Illustrator) changed something recently? Is there a setting or workaround I’m missing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

After I transferred team ownership to another user and left the team, all files in my drafts unexpectedly disappeared. These files include almost all my past works—not only company‑related projects but also my personal portfolio and self‑introduction, which are extremely important to me. I would like to know how I can recover them.

Since the “search inside the color field”-feature has been introduced, I am experiencing inconsistency in the search results when I search for Variables.1. searching in the color field (correct ✅):2. searching in the color library panel (incorrect ❌):3. searching in the color library panel, but omitting the first layer in the token's path (correct ✅):I think the key is that the library search seems to have a bug in the search algorithm. Only when I omit the first layer in the token's path, I get the correct result just like when I search with the search-in-color-field functionality.

Whenever I am trying to swap tokens or variable instances from my design system library files or trying to pull updates, I am facing the same error be it a component or a variable. And this is happening for all the files in my project folder that have the libraries added.I have raised a support ticket as well.

I have tried to contact sales 3 times over the last few weeks, so far no response. I see a lot of topics about this. What is going on?

In my design system there are specific screens that repeat itself many times. This screen is a complex screen. On the screen i have a table view and when i press on the table rows it opens a side drawer with more information. I created components and nested components for the table rows, the tables, the side drawer (as a boolean) and after i set up all the smaller components i decided to create 1 big component. Because i was using this specific screen many times. Now i made small updates to some small components that are nested inside the big component. I updated the library but the changes didn’t update...And even more frustrating: all instances of the big component set back to its default. Meaning, i have to go and start updating all the instances now for all the different states that i accounted for inside of the smaller nested components…. Please help me out here…!!!

When hiding an object inside an Instance of a Component with Slots, the object is also hidden in the Component itself and thus in other Instance.In this case: if I hide the blue info block in the Instance in one modal, it also hides in another modal and in the modal content componentChanges to an Instance should not influence its Component.   

We have an issue in our project files sometimes the components appear misplaced and we need to manually click click on them until they are reset to go back to their correct state, see screenshots below. How can we resolve this?

Hello,I'm experiencing a rendering issue with screenshots in Figma that appeared recently without any changes to my settings.Problem: When I place screenshots in my Figma file, they display with unwanted colored boxes overlaid on them in the editor view. Hi,I've been looking into this for a while now, and I haven't seen this issue reported anywhere.Since 3-4 days, when I have a component with nested components inside, if I ever try to create variants of this main components, it resets the inner components interaction.Example : Simple component, the interactions on the nested components works as intended. If I add a variant property to this component, whatever it is, the inner components interactions gets reset, and try to access its main component??I never had this problem before but since it started it occurs on all of my projects…The “reset component state” box is unchecked.I do have Figma’s latest version, tried reloading the tabs, restarted Figma itself, I don’t know what to do and it’s getting me mad, please help 😭

Hi, I’m having an issue with one of my Figma Make prototypes; “DL Prototype (BA Copy)”. When I try and restore any previous version (using the Version history dropdown, as shown in the message above), Make says it can’t fetch it. We’ve also tried prompting Make to undo changes and revert to an earlier version with no success. There is no preview and it appears as though all / key files have been deleted somehow.

Just thought I’d share for posterity as this almost drove me insane! I’d set up basic light / dark color modes and variables, which worked almost everywhere except for a few frames. It turns out i’d copied some assets from another project, and the appearance tab had exposed the variable modes for them, rather than the ones in the current file. The solution was to go the longer way through [blue] to the variable mode.
