Why is figma desktop become so slow

it took me like 15min to open a file, and the fonts loading even slower。 Every morning I will spend like 30min to waiting for all the resource to load. It remind me the experience of using Sketch. 😅

Is this happening with all of your files or with one file in particular? May I also ask what OS are you using and if your desktop app is up to date?

Please let me know, and I’ll do what I can to best troubleshoot this together.

I agree. Figma Desktop has become increasingly unusable. I have restarted my computer fresh and still it takes for ever to copy/paste. The annotations keep popping up even when i don’t want them to. When I update the design the preview takes forever to update.

Hi, @sinc3r1ydan - thanks for your reply. Sounds like you’re having a frustrating time with your Design file.

Have you checked to make sure that the desktop app is updated to the newest version? Also, how many files do you have open? It’s good to make sure that the app is updated, and closing file tabs can also help.

Having said that, I opened a ticket for you with our Technical Quality team so they can investigate - you should get that via email shortly. I recommend replying to that with a link to your file shared with support-share@figma.com with Edit access (this won’t affect your billing). Thank you for your patience!
