Hey there, At any given frame for me somehow, whenever I set the orientation to make it “landscape” with 90degrees, the newly created auto-layout frames inside will change it’s direction as well, not just at Width-Height but the Layouts as well. Selected A4 paper as frame Set 90degrees to make it landscape Created two frames inside which I want to work with, didn’t change the orientation, Applied auto-layout, immediately see the Layout shows “horizontal”, but I made it clearly vertical, If I set the Width to ‘fill’, doesn’t do anything however, If I set the Height to ‘Fill’ it will be wider and filled horizontally and vica versa (Height is not doing anything but Width changes the Height like image below) This is something which I just found out because I thought it’s a one time problem but it really comes back over and over again.

When I don't rotate it and after that I scale it, that frame snaps to pixel by pixel and when I rotate it, it doesn’t snap to pixels, rotation is affected too (Sorry I don't know how to explain this)

Hello! I have created a branch of my design system to introduce the variables feature. Bug fixes still happened in the main file. Now I’m done with the variables and I want to merge them. But when I start to fix the conflicts, Figma gets stuck. No matter if I open it in the browser or in the standalone app. Reloading it doesn’t help either. Figma memory is still green with a maximum of 44%. Is there any way to automatically settle on “keep main” to bypass the conflict modal? Maybe there is another solution that will help me. I did download the FigmaBeta. Still I do not see the option. What I get to see is Text To Design Option How do I get the AI option with that magic wand icon. I do not also see anything to change under settings.

Hi guys, I am a new user to Figma, specifically FigJam. I am using it to plan some projects and have noticed issues with the syntax highlighting for the code block in FigJam. The issue can be repeated by copying and pasting code which results in blank spaces being placed after the line delimiter. After checking on the forum it seems that this is a very old problem. I am curious as to why it hasn’t been resolved yet. It is quite annoying in our use case, as we are doing micro-service architecture. Is there any solution aside from having to manually delete the white spaces? I have noticed when keeping the code in a separate application, in our case Notion, using the copy function on Notion and pasting into FigJam it *sometimes* works and doesn’t include the blank spaces. Not a critical issue but very annoying.

i choosed the optionn ”everyone with the link can edit”. when sending the link to the persons they cant edit, they must setup an account! whats this, why lie with this option?? thansk for wasting my time.

Does this happen to anyone else? It’s literally killing my eyes and brain. Ever since they introduced UI3, depending on what you click on, basic information like position, layout, appearance and other key information moves around. So, every time you click on something new your eyes have to become used to the new position before you get to do anything. Those microseconds are very taxing for people that work 10 hours per day, every day on Figma. I thought it was just because I hadn´t adjusted to the new UI but it has been months now. Its 7 PM and my eyes are completely destroyed after a full day of work. Please help us fix this. Please. This is not good UX. Way too much mental and physical load.

Hi Figma I have a classroom of students who have been working with figJam since Sept. In the last week, we have encountered an issue in which some chromebooks are able to see the figJAM and some are NOT able to. This issue only presented itself sometime within the last week. Below you’ll be able to see that the platform and firmware versions are different, as well as the javascript version. Can you please have one of your technicians look into this and see what type of fix we can do? Thanks so much! After publishing the component library, sometimes and in some places that are using these elements, they are completely broken and when clicking on them they return to normal, so I believe it is a bug. Has anyone reported something similar? Does this have a solution? It ends up disrupting the daily workflow. I've already done the troubleshooting reset and reloaded the window

Sometimes when I resize or move a line, Figma will reposition the line from an x value of 100.5px to 101px. Stop doing that! It makes the lines blurry and I need to change its position back to 100.5 by hand. Very annoying! Turning off ‘Snap to Grid’ is not what I need. I do want things to snap to the pixel grid in the dimension that I’m resizing not the other dimension. For example if I’m resizing a line in the horizontal direction, do not change its vertical position.

I am trying to make a calendar component, which is using an instance of a date component with variants (default and hover) for each date of the month. I need to define a variable based on which date instance that is clicked in the hover state - so I am refining the interaction for each date in the month component. When this is done, and I set the state back to default and refresh Figma, the interaction in hover state is reset back to the interaction from the original date component. Is there a way around this, if I need to be able to add interactions to hover state instances?

It does not show me the Figma AI button in the toolbar below, I am with the new Beta UI3 interface and with a Professional plan account, I have activated the AI Features option, however it still does not show the Fgma AI button in the Toolbar. How can I solve this problem?

I’m recreating a simple animation that I originally made in code, but using just Figma Interactive Components with the newer delay functions. In the GIF below, you can see that the ripple effect expands and fades onClick which is expected. Then the same ripple is shown to circle back the animation to the beginning of the sequence. However, on the second run through of the prototype, the ripple doesn’t animate and just appears, which seems unexpected. Everything works when restarting the prototype. The nav 2 and nav 3 switch back to the Nav 1 title when using the variable to control the state: (on mouse down, set the variable of the state of nav2 and nav3 to default) - any way around this? (this is a test file) Button is a component within the nav bar component After buttons 2 and 3 switch to the language of Nav 1 (beginning state, no overrides), if i mouse over those buttons they do go back to the Nav 2 and 3 titles, its the initial state that goes back to the original instance labels thanks for any help on this...

Hello, everybody!Figma somehow created 3000 empty rectangles. Some are grouped even, which causes weird thing when I copy or move some parts. But also I just cant’ understand when and how 3000 empty rectangles were created and haw to delete them manually. Any ideas what is it?

Here’s the scenario/problem: I just made an update to a variant within a component in my master library and actually did so to about 8 components. But in my Design File I don’t get a visual indicator to tell me that these updates occurred until I take the steps to switch to a different variant on each one. What I expected... To see in an icon on my Assets library And then the Icon is displayed, so I know I have an update After clicking that icon I get taken here and see all my 8 components here -- so that I can update them all at once: Instead I have to go to each component and change the variant to see that an update is occurred. This has to be a bug, or a maybe a design gap.

I created a card component which consists of header text, subhead text, and button or a text. Then combine the card wit ha little nav item to have something like a carousel a person can navigate to choose a game. images of all state below. so the way it is built: card component below 3 nav item components. and prototype allow to navigate between 4 states suing the nav bar under the card. 1st choice has header, subhead and text “game completed” - a text property and boolean property 2nd choice has header, subhead and text button - a boolean property 3rd choice has header, subhead and text “complete previous game to unlock” - a text property and boolean property 4th choice has header, subhead and text “complete previous game to unlock” - a text property and boolean property. but… when I go to preview the prototype and I click around the text property ‘complete previous game to unlock’ keeps going back to default status so that I dont se ‘game completed’ anymore the n I go back to 1st cho

Gradient Quality Before Update on a 5x Smaller File Gradient Quality After Update on a 5x Bigger File Hi all,I’m experiencing some issues with PDF exports for gradients for nearly a month. I attached some examples for export comparison October 2024/January 2025. No matter how the PDF is exported or the design, the same issue persists. There is severe dithering and quality loss, which has never happened before. Is there a solution for this, because I can’t seem to fix it and it’s damaging our work with clients, because we can’t export a single slide from a presentation properly if it’s not all flat colors. Would really appreciate some help. More examples below:

The Frame was set with autolayout and the height is set with “Hug contents”. While the content is actually “80px”, the Frame’ height resulted in “74.2px”, once I copy paste it, it became the right height agian (80px).

Hello, I experience issues when exporting vector icons as SVG. When the exported icon position is a plain pixel, the export is correct, and has the same size as in the design file. ok so I've made this pink and red logo with lines shooting out of the sides, all in figma. I used masks to create the finished look. When I export as PNG it works, but when I export as SVG to add to illustrator it does not work and instead the lines don't show up and only the mask show's, here is a screenshot of what I mean in illustrator when I try flattening the image the lines become black and the mask section fills out in that reddish color, which is definitively not what I'm trying to accomplish Any help would be greatly appreciated this is what I see in illustrator this is when I flatten the image, which is totally not what I want this is what the final result should look like here is a better visual of all that’s going

How can I make it so components can have a boolean “visibility” property without this?

Figma file cover takes too long to sync up with the latest change from file. This issue has been being for along time and should to be resolved before the Cover size update

I am facing a bug where Figma does not correctly reference variables in a different collection even when the appropriate modes are set. For context, I have created a simple multi-brand design system with: Primitives collection: storing hex values of colors for each of my company’s brands (yellow and green) Semantic collection: storing references to variables in the primitive collection for the same brands After setting up the primitives collection, when I try and edit the variable for green brand in the semantic collection, the variable ‘picker’ window shows the correct green that should be referenced from primitives, however for some reason this does not apply. The video demonstrates the issue. I also show correctly applying the mode for the page to be the green brand from primitives when attempting to troubleshoot. Happy to hear if this issue is also happening with anyone else.
