When attempting to move screens from one page to another in the same file, it caused all existing screens to disappear from the page

Hey hey @Ash Wilson 👋 Thanks for flagging this, and sorry for the scare — screens going missing is not a fun surprise.

Could you share a short screen recording of the move happening? Please include the whole Figma window with the Layers panel expanded, on both the page you moved from and the page you moved to. That should give us more info to work with.

A couple of things that would help narrow it down:

  • Which page lost the screens — the one you moved from, the one you moved to, or both?
  • Do the missing screens still show up in the Layers panel for that page, or are they gone from the layer list entirely?

One thing worth checking in the meantime: Move to page keeps layers at the same coordinates on the destination page, and the view doesn't jump to follow them. If the existing content on that page sits at different coordinates, the moved screens can land well outside your current viewport. Pressing Shift 1 to zoom to fit on each page will confirm whether anything is actually missing.

Your file's version history should also have a snapshot from just before the move if you need to get back to it. Thanks! — Jaycee
