Cmd + B shortcut for a Frame or Section can't be reversed by pressing the shortcut again.

I rely heavily on shortcuts for everything in Figma, but I’ve noticed a recurring issue. When I accidentally press Cmd + B（or cmd + I, cmd + U） while a Frame or Section is selected, it triggers bulk-formatting that turns all nested text bold.

Unfortunately, this can't be reversed by pressing the shortcut again (except for cmd + U). If the mistake isn't caught immediately, undoing it with Cmd + Z becomes difficult after further edits.

  

Is it a bug? or some logic behind it that I don’t know.

    100%, do we need a bulk text format? I often accidentally click ctrl+B instead of ctrl+V by mistake and don’t notice that I’ve bolded a whole frame

    Hey All, thanks for flagging this! 

    I understand how this can disrupt your workflow, especially when it's accidental. Please note that this is expected behavior. Cmd+B/Cmd+I on a Frame or Section applies to all nested text, but (unlike Cmd+U) pressing it again doesn't toggle it back off, which is definitely inconsistent and understandably causing friction. A couple of questions, so I can flag this issue to the team properly:

    1. Are you running into this mainly on Mac (Cmd) or Windows (Ctrl), or both? It sounds like you each may be using a different OS, but I don’t want to assume.
    2. When it happens, are you able to Cmd/Ctrl+Z right away, or does it usually get discovered a few edits later?

    In the meantime, the safest, temporary solution is undoing immediately (Cmd/Ctrl+Z) before making further changes. Once other edits stack on top, selectively un-bolding nested text is the only fix. With your additional details, we’ll pass this onto to the team.
