Problem: Ancestor groups of a specific instance node trigger document change events just by traversing nodes via figma plugin API. Recording: figma-plugin-bug.mp4 - Google Drive Bug document: You can reproduce this by copying the entire page from the Figma document attached above and pasting it into a blank document. As per my understanding, the Figma client supports a comprehensive image resampling method. You can find detailed information here: link. However, when it comes to the Plugin API, it appears that an equivalent resampling option is currently unavailable. You can refer to the API documentation here: Plugin API ExportSettings.​ I’d like to know if this absence is considered a bug. Also, could you share if there are any plans to implement this feature in the near future?

I upgraded to pro over the weekend so that I could add the Shadcn UI Kit for Figma. It’s a library of components. I’ve followed these instructions but I can’t get it to publish to my account. https://www.shadcndesign.com/docs/getting-started Every time I try to publish it a figma dialog asks me to upgrade to pro. But I’ve already upgraded my account to pro. I only have one account and it’s a pro account. How can I add this UI library to my account?

Hey, back in the days of (Ctrl+K) hyperlinking in both normal text and comments’ text, now after the “new” (Ctrl+Shift+U), it doesn’t work anymore. And yes I know you can do it that way here but it’s not convenient.

Hello, Are there any legitimate suggestions to improve GIF playback? I’ve already tried both the desktop app preview and web browser prototype links, and the performance remains unacceptable. Should I continue to believe this is intentional to push users toward paid subscriptions? I am talking about 100-120 mb GIFs of 10 seconds.

Problem When I see all my projects, I would expect to see them in alphabetical order or by the latest modified date. I never have the need to see the list in reverse-alphabetical order, or the project I touched years ago. If the list is in alphabetical order, sorting it by the latest modified date will show the oldest project first after I click on the “Last modified” column header. I have to click again for the list to show the newer projects listed at the top. REVERSING THE SCENARIO – now, I want to see the list in alphabetical order, so I click on the “Name” column header, and lo and behold the list is show in… reverse-alphabetical order. This means I have to click again to reverse the order. Need My guess is that a (BIG) majority of Figma users would want to see their list in alphabetical order or by the latest date that the project was dealt with. Hi Figma team, I'm reaching out because I have a Figma Education Plan but I'm unable to find or access the Figma AI features. I've looked through my account settings and interface, but I can't locate the AI tools. Could someone from the support team help me understand if AI features are currently included in the Education Plan, and if so, how I can activate them? Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue with certain elements of my components. It seems that the auto layout is being overfilled with black, rather than staying clean and containing only the text inside: Have you ever experienced a similar issue? Removing the fill seems to resolve the problem and revert everything back to its original state, but do you know why this happens? Thank you in advance! Paola

There seems to be a bug in “Publish updates”. When I’m trying to deselect some checkboxes, others are selected and vice versa. This drives me crazy! It disappears after a restart. but comes back after a while. Please see attached screen recording. Screen recording

In a library file our team set up collections of variables and created two modes, one for Desktop and one for Mobile. We then decided that we wanted Mobile to be the default mode. As a workaround to make Mobile the default mode, we renamed the modes, swapping their names (so, Desktop → Mobile, and Mobile → Desktop). We then swapped all the variable values so they were under the correct mode. The problem is that now any pages or frames that were set to a specific variable mode before we renamed and swapped the modes still show the old naming even though they now have the correct styles based on what is supposed to be the default mode (Mobile). So, if I chose Mobile for the variable mode for a page or frame before the swap, it now reads Desktop when the styles are correct for Mobile. Also, new pages or frames created do not have this issue, so I can have two frames right next to each other, one that says “Auto (Mobile)” and one that says “Auto (Desktop)” and they both look correct.This s

Hey, I am on a free account and want to transfer a project. I followed this guide from Figma but I don’t see the ‘transfer’ in the drop down menu. Also I don’t have the Admin menu item for that team. I am the owner though. Same for newly created teams. Is that a bug? What am I doing wrong?

Hi Figma community, I am trying to create an interaction quite like the “swipe” interaction of Tinder. However, in my case, it is a game, and depending on whether you swipe left or right (and whether or not this corresponds to the correct answer) you get a +1 point or -1 point. I have created a frame called “Point” inside the swipeable cards (the cards are a component). “Point” is 100% visible in the swiped version (after drag), and 0% visible in the static version (before drag). I am testing this on three different cards - 1 image and 2 videos. I had several problems: 1st Attempt: I created two boolean variables “+1” and “-1”. And attached these to the “+1” and “-1” labels accordingly on each card. This worked for a while, but at some point it seemed to be broken and I could not really understand what did not work. It seemed to me, it only worked on the image, but I could not attach the variables on the video cards. Current: Then I attempted to attach the variables on the main card co

After designing some interfaces, when i went to check out the presentation, it doesn’t appear right.

I am creating public prototype links to be shared outside of my organisation. All the links have the same setup: disabled Figma shortcuts hidden hints on click hidden Figma UI no password anyone can view viewers cannot copy, share, and export from this file When a person from outside of organisation opens the link the first thing they see is the popup shown below. There is no correlation to the browser being used or OS. It happens randomly. I had two files open on Figma desktop app. I restarted my Mac and the two files cannot be found anywhere. I have checked deleted (by anyone) as well. They are not there in my recently closed history. Please help.

Links have stopped working in nested components. I have build a library file that leans heavily on Links around pages to move between documentation and the actual components. I have spen d a lot of time setting up multiple linking strategies and this was working for a long time… until recently. Now while the links are visile and work on my component that has multiple variants going to differnet links, when I then nest them into a more complex component the link does not work. I have been pulling my hair out on this one as it has made my design library less approachable.

Red: I added this file to the library, and everything worked fine. Blue: I added it the same way, but it’s not in the library list, and I can’t search for any components from this library. I tried removing and adding it again, but it still doesn’t work. Does anyone know why?

Every time I go to do some prototyping in Figma, I encounter a new bug or problem that causes me to spend hours trying to understand why it is happening and figuring out a workaround. The latest is I have a button component nested in another component combined with other components into a form layout. The button has variants and nested components for icons, style, and state. I am trying to attach a variable to the state so that when clicked it will switch from default to disabled (So that people will perceive that it can no longer be clicked). As soon as I set the State to use a variable it breaks the button variant Style so that the hover and disabled states do not retain the overrides. This is amongst several other issues including having the theme mode flash in the default theme (Dark instead of Light mode) for interactive components, and the infamous color change for instance swaps on nested components. And then to still not have proper drop-downs and actual text inputs or a table

Is it possible to give read access to an admin to see the entire console but without being able to change anything? Only reviewer mode. How to do it?

Today I use a component library built by me. And this week I'm noticing that some components that are being imported have elements being exported that are not visible even if the visibility is correctly enabled.
