I-ve been using a plugin to remove the background of images directly in Figma. After the last update I found out that an option to Remove Background from the Figma UI was there. Fig 1 But after using the Drop Shadow Effect on an image with the background removed using this method, I found out that it is not correctly reading the transparent pixels. Fig 2 I tested the previous plugin I was using to remove the backgrounds and had no issues applying the Drop Shadow Effect. Fig 3 Fig 1 Fig2 Fig 3

It started in Figma slides, I texted support and none of their advices worked. I asked figma community in telegram chats, also no idea except “show behind transparent areas” but it also did not worked. Is it supposed to work like this or what? Before I never had this issue for months… But now instantly… IT IS SO ANNOYING :(

Screenshots that I uploaded yesterday are not showing after closing the window and opening it again today. Only the image placeholders are visible. All other elements like text seem to be loading correctly. Could you please help me understand why this is happening and how I can resolve it?

I’ve already checked other similar topics across the community forum which are “solved”, but this issue is far from being solved. As you can see from my attachment, the image has been properly set as thumbnail (16:9 ratio, 1600*960px) in FigJam, but it does not fit the cover. Am I doing som’ wrong or you need more investigating this matter? Thx

Hi there, I've encountered a problem with my Figma prototypes that I hope you can help me with. When I open my designs on a Windows device or any non-iOS platform, everything displays as expected — margins, fonts, and overall styling all appear correctly. However, as soon as I open the same prototypes on an iOS device — whether that's an iPhone or a MacBook — I notice several layout issues. Margins shift, fonts render differently, and some styling appears off. This problem seems to occur only on iOS devices. Do you have any idea what could be causing this discrepancy? And more importantly, is there a way to resolve or mitigate these inconsistencies so that my designs look the same across all platforms? Thanks in advance for your help! Best regards,Daav

I’ve lost an important file and can’t seem to find it anywhere in Figma. It’s a file called “CarbonBalance Wireframe Prototype.” I’m also not sure exactly which account I built it in (I have an education AND a free seat), so I’m happy to log in to my other, non-education account to ask there if I need to. The plus and minus icons are don’t fill the entire container size – their square shape shows up on hover/click which looks awkward. There’s also a weird 2 gray borders on the sides of the 100%:

I can’t use Figma now since it disables WebGL for no reason. This means I can use other sites just fine, but as soon as I try to open a Figma file, it crashes and disables Web GL. This happens immediately in some files while in others it takes it a couple of minutes to crash. This is really annoying since I’ve got some designs for a game I was making which I can’t access anymore. I tried with Edge too and I get the same results. Also I forgot to mention it but here are my computer specs in case it’s needed: CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-11700 @ 2.50GHz RAM: 32gb Disk: SSD INTEL SSDPEKNU010TZ GPU 0: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 750 GPU 1: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 OS: Windows 11 Does anyone know a fix? Hi Figma Team🔆When re-ordering variants, I have encountered several suspicious issues: The drag & drop icon is not aligned with the variants. The list does not scroll up when dragging the item. When dropping, the selected variant is placed in a completely different position than where I released it. When dropping, the selected item turns into another variant, making the list completely untraceable. Can you please fix this issue? Thanks a lot in advance.

We recently updated the font family for our second brand (mode). Everything is working as expected in the design system library file. However, when I navigate to another file that uses that library of components and I switch the variable mode, it doesn’t switch my font (family or style, since they’re named differently), and it will sometimes say my font-family is missing. What am I supposed to do?

I’ve been using number variables for font weight and switching to string variables when we have italic weights. If the “Italic” is already selected in the weight/style field, then apply and number variable for a weight change, then italic style remains. I expected the style to switch to normal. Is this the right behavior? I’d like to stay with numbers for weight, but if they don’t override the style I’ll have to reconsider.

All the frames in my prototype, even the ones with fill width or fill height, aren't resizing when I do some action or active "responsive" view in the prototype settings: You can see that the shadow on the box in the middle is resizes correctly, but not the stroke or background. The same issue happens with the table header above and the cards below it. I'm using the macOS app, but I also tried the web version. And I also tried with other files. It's the same thing in all of them.

I think there is an error in dev mode about text-decoration-line. I used Material Kit version 3 and found that the patterns and styles were linked together.But!As soon as I used Material Team Builder, the variables and patterns were separated.I wanted something to link them together to make it easier to change colors if the client requested a color change mid-project.

When I generate an embed code from the Figma design view, the embed iframe displays the Figma design correctly, but if I generate a embed code from the branch of the same file, the embed iframe loads a blank page. Prototype embed code from the branch file works correctly, it’s the design embed code that does not work. Is this a bug, or is this not supported?

I have problems with font weight. Despite having variables defined, it does not work. I applied all the text variables I created to a new text, but when I use a font weight variable, it does not change according to the variable assigned. Please fix it.

Hello, I have a button that has two-color fill and a background blur effect using `background-blend-mode: color-dodge`. See the example Figma draft: When I copy CSS of this element, the background is exported like `background: linear-gradient(0deg, #383838, #383838), rgba(179, 179, 179, 0.82);`. See codepen example using the exported styles: The resulting element has no opacity because of the first `linear-gradient`. It seems that the browser only blends the two button backgrounds, whereas Figma blends them together with the page background. How can I export CSS for elements like this so that they look exactly the same as in Figma? Thank you!

Hi I had to changed my email from my personal email address to my university email in order to get the education plan for my university projects but the forum email is not changed and upon entering the forum, it created a second account for me. I also can’t access my main account because the forum uses Figma’s login. If I change my email to my personal email, do I lose access to the education plan? Can you removed the second forum profile (this one) and change the email address of my main account to my university email address so I can regain my access to it?

I’m having issues when using prototype interactions to trigger boolean variables in order to toggle layer visibility on a component instance. This only appears to be on component instances as opposed to normal layers/frames, as when I detach an instance, the layer visibility toggle appears to work again. Not sure if this has been impacted due to the recent updates to variable collections.

Recently a problem happened with my accounts, i had 2 figma accounts that i used regularly, but after a recent update i logged into Figma thru Google and saw this, these are not my accounts, the email is the same as the ones on my main accounts but the accounts themselves including picture, name and files are totally different, what should i do, how do i get rid of those doppelganger accounts? I want my files back! I’ve already tried logging in thru email adress but i keep getting into those.
