No support for auto-layout when bulk creating in Figma Buzz???

Hi, ​@ClausStrandberg! Thanks for your post and for trying out Figma Buzz! I can see how this would add a lot of extra work for you.

Just to be clear, the asset you’re using for the bulk creation already has auto-layout enabled for it, right? If you manually add content from your CSV or XLSX to the asset (ideally one that you saw did not look formatted properly), does it look correct or does it have the same issue as you see when importing? It sounds a bit like you might have already tried that but I wasn’t sure. I’m looking to narrow down if this is a display issue that already existed with your asset and just became apparent when bulk creating, or if something actually changes when processing the bulk upload data. Let me know what you find out and we’ll go from there!

Hi Claus — I saw your issue with Auto Layout not adapting correctly when Bulk Create inserts different content.

I recently built a small Buzz plugin that takes a slightly different approach to this problem.

TextFit for Figma Buzz lets you freeze the original text area before Bulk Create. Then, if the generated copy is too long, it scans the assets and automatically reduces the font size until the text fits back into the same area.

So instead of letting the layout grow with the content, it helps preserve the approved layout.

It works on the current asset, selected assets, or all assets, and you can set a minimum font size.

I’m the developer. It may not replace the Auto Layout behavior you were expecting, but it could be useful if your main goal is keeping Bulk Create variants visually consistent.
