Canvas does not auto-scroll while dragging a selected object to the bottom edge

When I select an object on the canvas and drag it toward the bottom edge of the viewport, the canvas stops moving and does not auto-scroll to follow the cursor. I have to release the mouse button and scroll manually before I can continue moving the object farther down.

Expected behavior: the canvas should auto-scroll when I drag a selected object near the viewport edge, so I can keep moving it without releasing the mouse button.

Hey @Maog1999, thanks for flagging this!

I can see how having to release the object and scroll manually would interrupt your workflow. This sounds similar to behavior we’ve tracked before, but I’d like to confirm whether you’re seeing the same issue or something new. Does this happen in the desktop app, browser, or both? Is the bottom edge the only affected edge, and does it happen across different files?

If possible, could you also share a screen recording along with your operating system and Figma version? That’ll help us reproduce what you’re seeing and get it in front of the right team.

Hey! Just wanted to tell you that the bug is no longer happening. Maybe I was on an old version or just needed to restart my laptop.

Thanks for replying
