Urgent: Company projects disappeared — both administrator and designer lost access

Hello Figma Community and Support Team,

All of our company’s projects have suddenly disappeared from view, and neither our administrator nor our designer can access them.

These projects were previously available to our team. We discovered the issue on September 30, 2026. We have not received any notification explaining the loss of access.

We do not know whether the projects were moved, deleted, or became inaccessible because of changes to permissions or team status. Even the company administrator cannot see the affected folders and projects.

This is blocking our team’s work, and we urgently need to restore access.

Could someone from Figma help us understand:

  1. What could cause multiple company projects to disappear for both an administrator and a designer?

  2. How can we verify whether the projects still exist and recover access?

  3. What is the fastest way to have Figma Support investigate this issue?

We are preparing a direct support request. We can provide our administrator account email, project names, file links, screenshots, and ownership verification privately to Figma Support.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? We would appreciate guidance from the community and assistance from the Figma Support Team.

Thank you.

Hey @Berik Dauyen ! Celine from the Community Support team at Figma here. Thanks for the detailed report,  this needs a direct look from our support team rather than troubleshooting here, since it involves account-specific access across your whole team.

I've gone ahead and created a support ticket on your behalf with the details you've shared here. Our team will investigate what happened to the affected projects and how to restore access.

Given this is blocking your whole team, I've flagged it as urgent, including that your team and administrator are affected.

Someone will follow up with you directly through your support case. For reference, your case number is #2161640 sent to your email address axxxt.gxxl@gxxxl.xxm , thank you for your patience and please continue the conversation directly there!

Update: Good news, the support agent is waiting for your reply to verify your payment and to share the next steps. Please check your inbox when you can as they are best equipped to take a closer look at your specific case. I am closing the thread here, thanks!

That sounds like a serious access issue, especially since both the administrator and designer are affected. I’d first check the team/workspace status, permissions, and whether the projects were accidentally moved or archived. If everything looks correct, contacting Figma Support directly with the project links, workspace details, screenshots, and affected account emails would probably be the fastest way to confirm whether the files still exist and restore access.
