BUG 🪲 When creating a new variant for a wordmark lockup, changing color variable of the wordmark vector skews the vector

I’m creating a new variant for a wordmark lockup. Changing the color variable applied to the vector that comprises the wordmark itself does 2 things it shouldn’t: it resizes the vector and it skews the vector. Aspect ratio lock is not turned on for the wordmark vector, but I have made zero size/scale changes; I have only changed the color. This makes zero sense.

Hey @Jules Monza, thanks for flagging this!

That definitely sounds unexpected. Changing a color variable shouldn’t resize or skew the vector, especially if no size, scale, or transform changes were made. A few details would also help us narrow this down:

  • Does this happen only when creating a new variant?
  • Is the wordmark vector inside a component set or nested instance?
  • Does it happen with any color variable, or only a specific variable/mode?
  • Are you seeing this in the browser, desktop app, or both?

With this info, we can take a closer look and pass it along to the team to investigate further.
