Hi everyone,I’m having a strange issue with one component in my design system.Here’s the full context and timeline of what’s happening: I noticed that a Button component is missing from the Assets panel in other linked files. I checked the design system file and the component exists and looks fine. The library is linked correctly to my working file, and all other components appear as expected. I even tried re-publishing the entire design system, but nothing changed. I tried inserting a new instance of the button manually from the design system file. It shows as linked to the main component, but it still doesn’t appear in the Assets panel. When I modify the main Button component and publish updates, the instances in my file don’t update, while all the other components in the system do.

We are designing an application that helps users to create/develop a web application from prompt and part of this we wanted to generate the Figma designs and get the approval from users before we develop the application.This will help users know how the application is going to look like and enable them to make any changes to it.I’m looking for suggestions on how do we do this? Are ther any plugins that I can use or Does the MCP server supports this use case. 

  We operate as a lead agency with multiple clients and have introduced Figma to many of them.With the introduction of Connected Projects, however, we’re running into challenges — the model no longer reflects how we actually work.Our clients are effectively being forced into this setup, which creates friction and confusion on both sides,and we’re finding that we have to reorganize our entire file ecosystem in each case.Our main concern is the limitation to a single external team per Connected Project.At most o our clients, several service providers are involved — each working on different apps and campaigns — so this restriction makes practical collaboration difficult.A few specific questions: Who was the intended target audience or collaboration model when designing Connected Projects? What would you consider the “ideal” or most common use case for this setup?

Hey everyone!I’m exploring ways to streamline document handling in our design workflow. Sometimes clients or vendors still require faxed documents like signed approvals or contracts, and I’d love to move this process fully digital.Has anyone here integrated sending and receiving faxes online into their design or collaboration workflow, perhaps alongside Figma or other creative tools?I’m curious which online fax platforms work best for designers or agencies, especially ones that maintain document quality and security. How do you handle these situations efficiently without disrupting your creative process?Any tips or recommendations are welcome!

I'm participating in a Connected Project as a guest and encountering an issue with Figma MCP.Around September, I was able to use Figma MCP without any problems, but recently it has started returning the following error:Error: This resource couldn't be accessed. IMPORTANT: Before continuing, you must tell the user to make sure their paid Figma seat includes Dev Mode access, they have the right permissions for this file, and the provided link is valid.I have a Full Seat on my own team and can edit files in the guest project, so I don't believe there are any permission issues. (I can access files from my own team via the MCP server.)The host is on an Org Plan, and I'm a guest on a Pro Plan.I'm using the desktop MCP server.Does anyone have any information about this?

I have a issue with my viewer seats. Mainly in my company people that are not designers or devs have viewer seats. In the past, when I gave someone a viewer seat they could view all the files, but now if I share the file link, they have to request access and I have to approve it. It is very annoying having to do all that process.

Hi,I recently ran into a bug with the Wacom tablet while using Figma since the last update. On the video below you can see the issue:When I select the square with my trackpad, only the object is selected.When I select it with a pen, it acts as a 'double-click'', entering anchor edit mode.Is anyone experiencing the same issue?I tried solving this with forcing a custom 'right-click’ binding for a single click in the Wacom Centre, but was unsuccessful.Other software behaves normally. Running on Windows with a Wacom One.  

Hello, I always have a lot of trouble connecting to my institutional email from my smartphone.I need to connect my Educational Plan account, which I opened with my university's institutional email, to a private email address. Is there a way to do this? Or is it possible to connect a secondary email address to the main one?Thank you very much.

Hi , since 2 days now my figma make AI is completly bug , when i ask him to do something he keep going back to something i asked him  hours before and before solving the problem i ask him to solve he keep answering to another prompt and get stuck on it , he don’t want to do another thing even if he show that he is answering to the new prompt , at the end it show the file that have been modified but its the wrong one its show me the modification on the prompt he is stuck on it.I don’t know what to do im completly stuck i build my company website on it and now i can’t do anything im working 12 hours a day on it and im at the 800+th version of it 

I have been added to a figma space for my client project with editing access granted and my name is coming up in the members list however I'm still unable to edit files within the space.

I have a a few project with in my account. There is one that I accidentally set to education and now a few of my team members cannot export or access the files because they do not qualify as students. How can i take my account status out of education and place it back into a free starter account? 

Hey everyone,I’m trying to update an existing component that was originally designed for mobile. I want to create desktop variants of it, and I’d like to add a new property called “Device” with two values: “Mobile” and “Desktop.”I haven’t used Figma since the new UI update, and somehow this simple task feels impossible now 😅Here’s what I tried: Selected the main component set Added a new Text property called “Device” Went to one of the variants to assign that property…but the new property doesn’t show up at all when I select a variant. Am I missing something obvious here? Is there a new way to add properties that apply to all variants (like it used to be)?My brain is broken — any help would be super appreciated!

There’s some issue I have with Figma when I export shadows. It’s definitely Figma, because it keeps on having some white edges which are visible on the shadow depending on where you view it on.However, tools like Add a Shadow to a PNG – Online PNG Maker work and don’t have this outline, so I ask if there’s any way to fix this with Figma, thanks. EDIT: This occurs from exporting SVG assets as PNG.

Hi everyone,I’m having an urgent issue and would really appreciate some help.My Figma Education plan recently expired, and since then, my only team has been locked. I’ve already deleted all other teams (I now have just one single team), but I still can’t create or access draft files, and the team hasn’t unlocked even after several days. It seems like the system still treats my account as if it’s over the free plan limits, even though I’m well within them now.Has anyone else faced this? Hey, there. I'm creating a huge collage for a future wallpaper. All of my image assets have a transparent background to blend into the canvas background. Here's an example with Airi Momoi from Project Sekai as a floating head.I thought of giving a unique color overlay for each image. However, adding one removes the transparent background of the image.Is there any way I can make the color overlay to only affect the colored part of the image and not the transparent part?I already know the masking method, but I don't want to duplicate every single image as it's own layer and group. How can I get the same overlay effect with just the layer of the image itself?Please and thank you.

I recently purchased a Figma Professional account. I'm having trouble publishing components. When I try to use my components in another file, the texts get mixed up with the icons, and the icons get bigger. What should I do?

Cline (vibe coding tool) is insisting that Figma MCP cannot provide gradient values, and is telling me the only way for it to grab gradient values is by guessing from a screenshot or having me provide directly. I can’t imagine this is the case-- or is that accurate?

Hello, I have a question and something I have been struggling to figure out. I am putting together a set of carousel cards that would feature video and image. With Carousel there is a featured card and two cards that normally would peak on the left and right. In my design I am taking advantage of using the figma responsive feature this way I can reduce the amount of components I am creating.  When I try to pull the card with. the cards peaking on the left and right I noticed that the card on the right is not responsive to me downsizing the width. This is because I cannot set the card to fill or else it will show or places itself in the viewport.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  There has got to be a way to pull in the right card when i resize whats in the frame.  Tha

Hi there, I'm currently using the Educational plan on Figma and working on projects with Figma Make and Sites. I'm trying to connect an external domain to my site, but I haven't been able to do so successfully.Is domain connection supported under the Educational plan? If so, could you please guide me through the correct steps or let me know what might be causing the issue?Thanks in advance! 

I'm prototyping in Figma Sites, and I want to create an interaction where:A user clicks on something (like a button). After a delay, another action happens — like setting a variable or triggering another interaction.In Figma Design, I used to do this by:Using components with hidden states. Using change to I could nest an after delay function Setting an "After Delay" interaction on the hidden state to trigger the next action.But in Figma Sites, I can't define components, and anything created outside that will be out of scope so I can't use hidden states to manage delayed actions — and that’s where I’m stuck.

Hi team! I’m trying to “Copy Make previews as design layers” on one make design and while it works for simple, short screens, it hangs (I see the “Copy as design layers...” in the bottom of the screen) and takes forever. In this case, it’s the landing page a colleague designed, which is big but I’d not say it’s huge :) It happens both on Desktop app (MacOS) and web versions.  Shall I somehow open a bug to report it?  Thanks! 

I'm experiencing significant issues with student verification for our educational plan, as our college does not use SheerID and instead relies on Google accounts.The verification process for students has resulted in numerous errors and access problems. Specifically, some students currently lack access because they cannot maintain a free account within the educational team structure. Furthermore, SheerID support has been unresponsive to our requests for help.As a related ongoing issue, SheerID has also failed to update our college's name, which officially changed last year.
