Hi Figma Support,I lost access to my Figma files after my Education plan expired.I was the owner and creator of the files in an Education team. After the education status expired, the team became locked and my account was removed automatically. Now I no longer see the team or files in my file browser.I cannot move or download the files because I no longer have access to the team.There is no other admin or owner available to reverify or re-add my account.The files are very important and were created by me.Could you please escalate this case to the account recovery or data recovery team to help restore temporary access or recover the files?Old account email:[redacted PII - DJV 2/27/26]Thank you.

 I have tried verifying 10+ times  for my master's program in the United States, and my classes have already started, and one of my courses requires Figma Pro, but what can I do if SheerID is not able to verify? I have contacted SheerID, and they say that they can't verify my profile. Now I have exceeded my limit to verify it seems.I have run out of verification limits twice. The only prerequisite for being a student is a university name and  email id .SheerID can't even verify that education@figma.com was of no help either. Said that only SheerID can help. Could you kindly resolve this or provide a solution, as your SheerID team is not even verifying?

I've noticed recently that the branch icon is missing from the file tab, although it's visible on the left panel. Can we get this indicator visible?Also, it's missed from the recent opened files menu 

Hello, I am currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree and I receive a “Verification limited exceeded” message everytime I try to verify my status. I am now receiving a message on figma that I will loss my files if I don’t verify my status in the next 7 days. could you kindly resolve this issue.

Previously, I had an active Education plan under an old email. Since I no longer have access to that previous address, I updated my Figma account to my current email.Following the update, my Education status was downgraded, and I was asked to complete the verification process again. However, when I try to re-verify my student status, I receive a message stating that the benefit has already been claimed/verified.I contacted SheerID for clarification, and they confirmed that my verification is active and tied to the new email address I used for my login. Despite SheerID confirming that everything is correct on their end, my Figma account still doesn't reflect the Education plan benefits.Could someone please help me understand why the plan is still blocked and how I can restore my access?

Hi all, I created some designs that I exported as PDF. I have two problems with the result: The text is not selectable (I tried Mac’s Preview and Safari). The files are rather large (1MB for an A4 size design, no images or vectors, just a few text bozes. Any ideas how to overcome this? (I would try to avoid bringing it back my design to Sketch.

I have been having a problem with Figma for several days when using Swap Library. Let me explain:I created a design system with, among other things, our colors (for example: #406eff for the primary color, #383838 for the secondary color, and #848484 for the tertiary color). Then I published the library of this design system.I created a mockup for client A. In this mockup, I used instances of components created in my design system. Anyone ever used figma make? especially until finish it and try to deploy?I’m tried to download generated code from figma make and deployed it to github and vercel. It is doesnt work, seems because the structure is not common. now I still host the website in figma but connect it to a new domain. my question is, does figma make code able to deployed and continue the development as functional website? or it is just mare prototype? does figma has plan to make it website builder like lovable or V0?I also trying to implement Google Analytics, but despite Figma Make's reported implementation using the provided script, GA testing consistently failsany help will really appreciated, thanks!

Has anyone created and deployed a full working web application with backend and APIs using Figma Make and Vercel? 

I use variables for a multilingual project. I’m using a file as library to manage string variables. I tried updating some strings in the library file but they didn't carry over to the local usage file which already updated the latest library. The text there is still showing the old version instead of syncing.I need to re-assign the same variable to the text so that it can show the latest version. It is very annoying.

Hi everyone,I'm experiencing an issue with the Prototype Preview mode in Figma. In previous versions, there was an internal address bar located at the top (next to the view mode toggle) that displayed the current route, such as /feed or /chat. This allowed me to manually type and navigate between different pages in my project quickly.However, in the current version, this bar has completely disappeared. I can no longer see the URL or manually change the route to test specific pages.Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a shortcut or a setting to toggle this address bar back on? I've checked the "View" options but couldn't find a way to restore it.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In a recent audit, I made some corrections in our variables library. After which, I ensured all updates were applied, then published the library. I first updated all pages in our main component library. I then audited/updated ALL variables that required manually change (because there was a net new variable that needed to be attached to a component). After which I ensured all updates were clear, and then published our main component library. I see this in history log as well. However, when I look at the variables applied/linked to the components, they still show the old/deprecated/deleted variables, that I either updated, and/or manually applied. Again, I see the correct changes applied. And I even see the save point in the history. However, now days/weeks later, the components (updates, or manually linked) are showing the old variables still linked. And if I go back to the save point, it also shows the incorrect/old/deprecated/deleted variables still applied. 

Hi Figma team,Our CoCreate program was accepted as a verified bootcamp partner a couple months back. We have submitted a Google Sheet of students/educators a week ago and they have yet to be upgraded.  Please help us solve this issue asap as some of them will be downgrade from the free trial tomorrow.

When using the Figma Desktop MCP server with an MCP client (Cursor IDE), the core design extraction tools get_metadata and get_design_context do not return any usable design data, despite the server being reachable, tools being discovered, and parameters being validated successfully.Environment: OS: macOS Figma Desktop Stable: 125.11.6 Figma Desktop Beta: 126.1.0 MCP Transport tested: /sse and /mcp MCP Client: Cursor IDE MCP Server URL: http://127.0.0.1:3845/sse (also tested with /mcp) Observed Behavior: The MCP server starts correctly and is reachable. Cursor successfully connects to the server, enumerates available tools, and validates tool arguments. Calls to get_metadata with a valid explicit nodeId consistently return only an instructional string (e.g., “IMPORTANT: After you call this tool, you MUST call get_design_context…”) instead of the expected XML metadata (node hierarchy, bounds, layout, etc.). Calls to get_design_context with the same valid explicit nodeId 

I have a figma plugin which was published some months ago, I want to upload a new version for the plugin but I am unable to do it. I am trying to “Locate local version” but it shows me a development plugin instead of allowing me to “Publish a new version”. Any guess what might cause this?I tried updating the manifest to match my plugin ID and I was able to get the “Publish a new version” option and now I am getting an error I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!
