Figma MCP connector in Claude Desktop: "Server not found" on connect, can't disconnect

Hi everyone,

The Figma MCP connector won't connect in Claude Desktop, and I've run out of things to try on my end. Hoping someone here has seen this.

**Environment**
- Claude Desktop (Windows), latest version
- Figma installed as a personal plugin in Claude Desktop
- Connector target: mcp.figma.com (cloud connector)

**What happens**
Clicking "Connect" on the Figma connector opens a claude.ai start-auth URL, and the API immediately returns:
{"type":"error","error":{"type":"not_found_error","message":"Server not found"}}

The desktop app also shows two banners: "Server not found" and "Failed to disconnect from server". The OAuth flow never starts β€” it fails before Figma is ever contacted.

**Already tried, no change**
1. Disconnecting the connector in the app β†’ fails with "Failed to disconnect from server"
2. Fully uninstalling the Figma plugin, restarting Claude Desktop, reinstalling β†’ exact same error, and the connector reuses the identical server ID every time. So the broken reference seems to persist server-side, not in the local install.

This looks a lot like the open issue anthropics/claude-code#28706 ("Figma MCP connector stuck in broken state").

**Questions**
Has anyone here hit this and found a fix? Is there a known workaround on the Figma side, or anything else I should try before escalating? I've also opened a parallel ticket with Anthropic, since the error originates from the claude.ai API β€” but I wanted to check here in case it's a known plugin-side problem.

Thanks!

Hey hey @Carlo_S.d.L.Β πŸ‘‹ Thank you for sharing all your details, that is always helpful πŸ™Œ

Claude Desktop sometimes lists Figma twice: an unlabelled local/desktop connector alongside the remote one (`https://mcp.figma.com/mcp`)

Can you check whether Figma appears more than onceΒ in your Claude Desktop connectors list? If it does: remove the duplicate (keep only the remote `mcp.figma.com` one), fully quit and reopen Claude Desktop, then reconnect.

If nothing uninstalls even after a restart, your Anthropic ticket is the right escalation. The OAuth error firing before Figma is a good clue.

Let me know what the connectors list shows. β€” Jaycee
